On December 7, 1941 the Japanese went forth and bombed Hawaii's pearl harbor. Smoke filled the air with hectic screams echoing within the war scene. The attacks of pearl had a major impact on the united states because 2,403 people died, several families lost their homes, and many US defenses were damaged.
It was the first attack on US soil during the war. The sky slowly turned black that day and sorrow filled many families. 2,403 people died that day. The united states was supplying their allies with weapons but trying to stay out of the war however when

Many US defenses were damaged. “Nearly 20 American naval vessels Were destroyed, eight enormous battleships including the Arizona, the biggest of them all, and lastly 300 fighter planes,” stated by History.com.

The attacks of pearl had a major impact on the united states because this was the first attack on US soil during the war. This event got us involved in world war 2 and made us more motivated to fight back, knowing that innocent people lost their lives.
