The Korean National Police Agency will create a promising future together with the people The year 2015 is meaningful as it marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean National Police Agency’s birth on the nation’s Independence Day. For the last 70years, the Korean National Police Agency has steadily reformed itself to protect the people and keep order in society, and today, the Korean National Police Agency is recognized as one of the top-class police forces in the world. Through exchanges and cooperation, many countries are learning from our advanced public order system, and tourists visiting Korea express their deep satisfaction with the security and safety in Korea. Based on the 3 principles of 「Sensible public order」 · 「Consensus-based rule of law in people’s daily lives」 · 「Substantial organizational innovation」 , the Korean National Police Agency has focused its resources on safety and order, the basic duty of police. As a result, we have seen public order indicators further improving, and law and order taking deeper roots in our daily lives.
