Sharp Needles

The perfect choice for general-sewing tasks like binding, hemming, EPP and applique, especially for folk who prefer a shorter needle. Sharps are also often called an applique needle for their shortfine shank makes them super maneuverable.

The eye is punched within the shank, so it will glide smoothly through the layers of fabric without that annoying ‘popping’ at the eye end.

Chenille Needles

Ideal for embroidery using a very thick yarn (silk chenille type) on thick canvases and fabrics.

Chenille needles have a long eye that allows a thick yarn to be threaded through in order to make ribbon embroidery or embellishment embroidery, using very thick threads such as silk chenille.

Appliqués

Ideal for your patchwork and for sewing beads. The appliqué technique consists in sewing pieces of fabric of different shapes by superimposing them onto the patchwork to create a pattern.

To do this, a very fine needle is required.

There are two types of applique needles: short and long ones, to be chosen according to the desired comfort and what your hand is used to.

Milliner Needles

The straw needle is also often called a milliners needle and are fine and flexible.

The long shank and small round eye make them perfect for hand stitching as they carry the thread smoothly through the cloth. They are favored by many quilters for English paper piecing and applique.They are also the needle of choice for tacking, stitching pleats, bullion stitch & beading.

Mechanical Chalk Pencil with Sharpener

Mechanical chalk pencil + 16 ultra-fine leads 3 colours: 8 white, 4 blue, 4 pink. 1.4 mm. The chalk is a historic accessory of sewing and the clothing industry.

You can sharpen the lead with a pencil sharpener and thus adapt the thickness of your line according to your markings. Always do a test on a piece of fabric to verify that the chalk rubs out normally.

A button with a removable lead is located at the upper end of the mechanical pencil whose holding mechanism changes the lead when it is pressed. 16 coloured leads (4 blue 8 white, 4 pink) + a special pencil sharpener for chalk leads are included.

Glass Head Pins

Glass head pins are ideal for classic sewing work. This diameter makes it possible to work on the widest variety of fabrics. The glass head will allow you to better identify the location of your pins. As glass does not melt under the soleplate of the iron, it will allow you to assemble your fabrics, mark your folds and hems.

Made of hardened and nickel-plated steel, these pins will not twist below 40° c and will not oxidise.

Tapestry Needles

Ideal for embroidery on canvas, thin Aida cloth and linen. The tapestry needle is a thick needle with a round tip, and a big eye.

As its name indicates, it is ideal for sewing with tapestry wool yarn. It can also be used to sew your knitwear. They are also used on Aida-type cloth to make tapestries or cross stitch embroidery.

Darning Needles

Darning consists of making a hole disappear by intertwining threads, which will fill up the surface by re-meshing the fabric.

Our short darners needles have a longer eye which makes it easier to thread darning yarn (which is thicker) through. They are ideal for darning wool and cotton.

Sashiko Needles

Sashiko needles are used for traditional Japanese sashiko embroidery.

These needles are made from steel and manufactured in the Bohin factory in Saint-Sulpice-sur-Risle. Involving 27 different steps and two months before the needles are ready for sale these high quality needles are finished to perfection.

Embroidery Needles

Embroidery needles are used on weft and warp fabrics from the thickest to the thinnest for all types of traditional embroidery.
