2 x balls 2nd Colour (C2-Blush #05)

2 x balls 3rd Colour (C3-Rose #22)

2 x balls 4th Colour (C4-Silver #08)

NEEDLESAND EXTRAS

Apair 4.50mm knitting needles or size that gives correct tension.Ayarn needle.

TENSION

19 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm over garter st, using 4.50mm needles.

SPECIALABBREVIATION

M1 = make one stitch by picking up loop that lies before next st, place on left hand needle and knit into back of loop.

PATTERN STITCHES

Moss Stitch

1st row – K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. Rep 1st row for moss st.

Box Stitch

1st row – K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.

2nd row – Knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts as they appear

3rd row – P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.

4th row – Knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts as they appear Rows 1 to 4 incl form box stitch.

BLANKET

Using 4.50mm needles and C1, cast on 3 sts.

Beg Garter Stitch – Using C1, 1st row (RS) – Knit.

2nd row – K1, M1, K1, M1, K1 = 5 sts.

3rd row – K3, M1, K2 = 6 sts.

4th row – K3, M1, knit to end = 7 sts.

Rep 4th row until garter st section measures 6cm along side edge, working last row on WS.

Beg Moss Stitch – Using C2, 1st row – K3, M1, moss to last 3 sts (see pattern stitches), K3.

Keeping moss st and 3 sts in garter st at each end correct, cont inc one st (as before) at beg of every row until moss st section measures 6cm, working last row on WS.

Beg Garter Stitch – Using C1, 1st row – K3, M1, knit to end.

Rep 1st row until garter st section measures 6cm, working last row on WS.

Beg Box Stitch – Using C3, 1st row – K3, M1, work 1st row of box stitch (see pattern stitches) to last 3 sts, K3.

Keeping box st and 3 sts in garter st at each end correct, cont inc one st (as before) at beg of every row until box st section measures 6cm, working last row on WS.

Last 24cm form patt stitch sequence throughout. Cont in patts, noting to keep 3 sts in garter st correct and working all Garter Stitch sections in C1 and all pattern sections alternating other colours in following order – C4, C2, C3, at the same time inc one st (as before) at beg of every row until work measures approx 11cm along side edge from beg, ending with 3cm of a patt section on WS – halfway point of blanket. Beg decreases - Keeping colours and patts at each end correct, Next row – K2, K2tog, patt to end. Cont dec one st (as before) in every row until 5 sts remain.

Next row – K1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K1 = 3 sts. Cast off.

FINISHING

DO NOTPRESS. Sew in ends towards centre of blanket. Using C1, make 4 tassels each approx 15 cm long, working 50 wraps.Attach a tassel to each corner of blanket as pictured
