NOTE: Stitch with ¼” seam allowance unless stated otherwise. Take 10” x 17”rectangle for the stocking FRONT. Measure 5” from the top and cut out cut 3½” strip. Use this off cut to trace initial. Take 10” x 4” strip from corresponding fabric and stitch it to the FRONT’s strips.

Sandwich lining fabric right side facing down, cotton batting and outside fabric right side facing up. Quilt together in stitching pattern of your choice. Use walking foot on your sewing machine for stitching. Quilt stocking BACK, batting and lining piece in the same manner. Print patterns from page 4-7 and tape pieces together. Stack the two quilted pieces on top of each other, right sides together. Place pattern on top and stitch along th edge of the pattern. Cut excess fabric approximately 5 mm from the stitch line. Clip curves where necessary. Zig zag around the edges if desired. Turn inside out.

CUFFED CHRISTMAS STOCKING CUFF Print the initial’s outline provided on pages 8 - 11. Cut out the letter from corresponding fabric. Take cuff’s fabric piece and silver or gold ribbon. Fold ribbon in half and stitch it onto cuff’s edge. Fold cuff’s piece in four to mark position for the intial. Stitch initial in place with zip zag stitch. Cut 6” of ribbon for the hanging loop. Fold it in half and pin to the seam line on the inside of the stocking. Lay cuff’s piece along the edge of the stocking with right side of the cuff facing the lining. Sew along the edge. Pull hanging ribbon up and sew small Back stitch over the seam line to secure it in place. Repeat process for the silver stocking.
