PATCHWORK DRESS

Tiny Tulips - C

•1 x 9½” square

Park Gates - C

•2 x 9½” squares

•1 x 8½” square

Stitch triangles with right sides facing. Press seams. Trim half triangle block into 8½” square.

Arrange blocks into rows. Stitch them together. Zig zag along the seams.

•1” bias strip

Heath View - C

•1 x 9½” square

•2 strips 27cm x WOF for the ruffle

Sew rows together matching the seams. Zig zag along the seams.

DRESS ASSEMBLY

Place BACK and FRONT of the dress together. Stitch shoulders and side seams.

Use bias binding to finish off neckline and armholes.

RUFFLE

Take two 27cm strips from Heath View fabric. Stitch them together into a circle. Make 1cm hem on one edge. Fold over 2cm along the other edge. Press. Stitch on the longest stitch setting about 1 cm away from the folded edge. Gather the top edge of the ruffle. Pin it to the bottom of the dress matching the seams. Top stitch it in place.
