LINDY POP - 5917A - 0.25mtr One 4½” square Four pieces Template A LINDY SILHOUETTE - 5919B One 5” square HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES (HST) Eight pieces Template B 21½” x 16½” and 21½” x 10½” for Choose required fabrics in 5” squares and position them right sides facing, lining up the backing edges. Draw diagonal line from corner to corner MADDSIE SILHOUETTE - 5922A on the wrong side Four 5”squares Sew a ¼” seam on both sides of the line. Eight pieces Template B Cut along the marked line Two strips 1½”x 20½” (border) and press towards the darker Two strips 1½”x 22½” (border) fabric. Trim the newly-sewn SILVER BELLS - 5920A square to 4 ½” square shape. Four 5”squares

Note: Due to the direction of the pattern on the DECO SPRIG fabric we recommend to have archers on the fabric facing the same way on all HST blocks. So you will have spare HST blocks with this fabric.

DECO DANCE CUSHION DIAMOND BLOCKS Take diamond shape Template A from LINDY POP fabric and 2 template B from LINDY SILHOUETTE fabric. Stitch right-hand side first. Press it. Then stitch left-hand side piece and press it open.

Sew blocks into rows as illustrated below. Then stitch rows together matching the seams.

Repeat it on the other side with MADDSIE SILHOU-

ETTE fabric pieces. Make four Diamond Blocks.

CUSHION ASSEMBLY Sew corner blocks according to the diagram below.

BORDERS Square up your cushion front. Stitch one of the 1½”x 20½”strips to each side of the cushion front. Press. Stitch 1½” x 22½” strips to the top and bottom of the cushion front. Press. BATTING Cut Bosal Light Fusible Batting to the size of the cushion top. Iron batting and pillow top together and quilt with DMC Cotton Perle. After you finished, trim excess of any fabric or batting, squaring the cushion.

DECO DANCE CUSHION BACKING Turn one long edge of each backing pieces 21½” x 16½” rectangle under ¼” press. Turn same long edges under 1” again; press. Topstitch folded edges to hem. Repeat for the other backing piece. Layer cushion top on top of cushion back with wrong sides facing overlapping hemmed edges of cushion back pieces. BINDING Sew 2½” binding strips together end-to-end using diagonal seams. Open seams and press the long binding piece in half with right sides facing out. Pin the binding to a cushion front approx. 5” away from the corner. Start stitching binding strip with ¼” seam allowance, leaving an approx. 3” tail. Stop stitching ¼” before the edge of the cushion. stop stitching ¼”from the edge

Clip the threads. Remove the cushion from under the machine foot. Fold the strip in a motion of 45˚ and upward, pressing with your fingers. Hold this fold with you finger, and bring the strip down in line with the next edge, making a horizontal fold that aligns with the top edge of the cushion. Start sewing again with a ¼” seam allowance. ¼”from the edge FOLD

Stop stitching before you reach the last 4-5”. Lay the loose ends of the binding flat along the edge, folding the ends back on themselves where they meet. Press them together to form a crease. Using this crease as the stitching line, sew the two open ends of the binding with right sides together. Trim seam to ½” and press open. Turn binding to back of the cushion and hand stitch it down using a matching thread.
