Ja round table easily connects a crowd at a dinner party. In the dining room, Hiltz-Lauber pulled both elements together with a 60-inch-round mahogany table paired with a photograph by environmental portrait and landscape artist David Hillegas. Adjacent to the living room and kitchen but separated by an arched opening, the dining area is small but compelling. “We wanted this space to feel more youthful and to celebrate the breeziness of the house so that it becomes an integral part of the home’s main living space rather than a room that is rarely used,” says Joe Lauber, who founded Hiltz-Lauber along with his brother Nick Lauber.
For the color scheme, the designers at Hiltz-Lauber turned to the photograph’s warm tones. “We complemented its golden and orange hues with our golden plaid area rug and a tablescape designed by ALKMY,” Joe says. Norton’s Florist tapped into

Hiltz-Lauber’s signature orange to create a centerpiece lled with autumnal tones. e table is surrounded with antique sheep bone chairs covered in a creamy leatherette trimmed in nailheads. e Bolier & Co. mahogany bar (above) nods to classic lines, while a gilt, Italian mirror adds a regal touch. In a corner, a trio of Wesley Charles Holleman original paintings, matted and framed in o -white, creates a clean look. e custom-fabricated console behind the table is made of hand-hammered steel and topped with two Visual Comfort White Gourd lamps with linen shades.
