GOT QUESTIONS? USE YOUR RESOURCES
IS ACADEMIC SUPPORT AVAILABLE TO ME? Yes! Counselors are assigned by last name and provide the following academic services: • Monitor academic progress and credits • Advise class placement • Assign schedules • Support collegiate learning
WHAT IF I’M FEELING OVERWHELMED? Don’t worry! We have a full-time wellness counselor on staff to support our students with their non-academic needs. High school can be stressful, and our wellness counselor helps with stress, school/social life balance, grief, family issues, and life as a teenager in general, good and bad!
WHAT IF I LEARN DIFFERENTLY? Students with diagnosed mild to moderate learning differences and attention problems are welcome to use the resources provided by our Learning Center. The Learning Center program is not a Special Education program, but rather unique in that students needing learning accommodations can still find themselves in a rigorous college preparatory environment with help from our Learning Center support staff.

faith-based learning environment
OUR VALUES ARE ROOTED IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH and we
are committed to a faith-based environment, where students will find spiritual discovery and acceptance throughout their Bishop Gorman journey.
THEOLOGY Students are required to take Theology courses each year at Bishop Gorman. General Theological studies at the beginning of your Bishop Gorman journey lead to courses such as Sacred Scripture, World Religions, and Social Justice (and more!) as an upperclassman.
MITE BOX Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in weekly
Mite Box collections to assist those in need in the Las Vegas Community. Last year $64,226 was collected and distributed through our student-led Matthew 25 Board.
10
LITURGY In keeping with the commitment to enhance the spiritual experience of the Bishop Gorman community, students and faculty worship together with monthly Eucharistic celebrations. Students are welcome to participate in the liturgies as lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, altar servers, or members of either the Worship Choir or Praise and Worship Group.
CAMPUS MINISTRY
It is the mission of our Campus Ministry department to help the Bishop Gorman community explore and discover Jesus Christ’s abiding love and presence in our lives. Our Campus Ministry team coordinates many faith-filled aspects of our campus, including our Christian Service program and Retreat program.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE As part of our Bishop Gorman mission statement, we aim to create a community where service is valued and celebrated. Students are required to participate in a minimum of 100 hours of Christian Service (25/year minimum) as a requirement for graduation. Within the Christian Service program, students will find different service opportunities that speak to them, create learning experiences, and set a foundation to be servant leaders after leaving the Bishop Gorman community.
RETREATS Campus Ministry coordinates a variety of retreat opportunities where students can explore their relationship with God, themselves, and others.
