The Philanthropy Leaders Summit, organized by the Moonridge Group took place on Friday, February 6th at the Las Vegas City Hall. The Moonridge Group serves as a catalyst between individuals, foundations, and corporations to help each achieve their philanthropic goals. Bishop Gorman was well-represented with seven current students, one young adult alum, as well as several youth speakers for the event. Erica Korbel ’15, spoke of her organization, Students United in Recycling School Supplies. The school supplies that normally are tossed out at the end of the school year are gathered, cleaned, and delivered to teens at Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. Siena Prenger ’18, and her sister Savannah ’14, shared

information on their organization called Teens Helping Teens. They help to provide material items as well as academic and emotional support to teens who also count on Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth as they navigate through their personal struggles.
