Embrace Opportunities Modified Block Schedule Each Tuesday and Wednesday students attend 3 classes for an extended time period of 85 minutes. This allows students to experience a typical college class schedule while affording in-depth instruction that cannot be accomplished in a typical 50 minute class period.
Gaels Period Bishop Gorman High School is committed to meeting the needs of all of our students by using a variety of different approaches. One of the methods we have developed to reach this goal is the GAELS (God, Activities, and Enhanced Learning Sessions) Period. The GAELS Period provides students and teachers extra opportunities to meet and extend their experiences beyond what they may have already received during the regular instructional time while still in school. The GAELS Period allows for remediation, intervention, enrichment, study time, makeup work, club and Campus Ministry meetings, as well as other school programs.
Summer Enrichment We offer students the ability to complete classes during a summer program. We offer on-site and online courses to meet the needs of summer schedules. Course offerings include: • Theology • Social Studies • Art • Physical Education • Driver’s Education • Dance • Health Semester credit is awarded for each course.
Travel Offerings Bishop Gorman students have the opportunity to expand their horizons: BGHS Summer European Adventure, Utah Theatre Thespian Trip, Field Trips and Service Trips.
