What Kind of Content Will Help You Earn Money on Facebook It’s no secret that having a Facebook page has become essential for a business and that high quality content is the key to getting and keeping those likes and having more shares. But not everyone knows what great quality content means exactly, especially since the internet is flooded with all kinds of articles and pictures and videos. For a business owner, what’s the best kind of content to share when they’re trying to market on Facebook and are essentially learning how to earn money on Facebook? When producing content for your Facebook business page, your goal is to get the right kind attention which translates to a like or a share or even a visit to your website. While there aren’t a lot of studies that reveal what motivates sharing on Facebook, there was a study done by the New York Times that 94% of your audience carefully consider how the share will be useful to their friends and followers, 73% share to help them connect with others who have the same interests, and 84% share posts as a way of supporting a cause. Only 49% share a post to let others know about a product or service that they care about and would recommend. Another useful statistic tells us that pictures are the most shared kind of content, coming out on top with 43%. These statistics tell us that your posts should appeal to the emotional as well as take on a more positive note. Inspirational and positive posts are always better received than the shock and awe tactic which encourages people to share your posts to their own friends. For example, if your company is selling sports gear, you should try posting positive and inspirational news about athletes. Or, because pictures are so popular as content, you can try putting together pictures that feature a few motivational words. Subtle call-to-actions wouldn’t hurt either, but don’t sell; instead, lead them to your website. Despite the popularity of pictures, that doesn’t mean that you should only stick to images. Try the occasional informative video, maybe once a month. For videos, make sure they’re short, simple, and engaging. For written articles, keep it light at 250 words per article and don’t be afraid to add photos in there too. Be sure to keep everything relevant and informative but don’t be afraid to get quirky with a cute photo every now and then. Just learn to pick your moments. Essentially, you want your Facebook business page to show a more human side behind your product. When business owners work on learning how to earn money on Facebook, one of their main challenges is always the content and the difficulty of knowing what kind of content appeals to their target audience. But the approach they should really take is the same approach they would have on their own, personal Facebook pages. Be friendly, be positive, and be open. Let them get to know your business or product and eventually they’ll give you their likes.
