Our goal is for students to be creative and curious critical thinkers who own their learning as they solve problems and become global citizens. BPS is a Great Expectations district. BPS practices the basic tenets and life principles of the Great Expectations program which promote a culture of respect and academic excellence.

"Alone, we can do so little. Together, we can do so much." Helen Keller One of the goals at East Elementary is to partner with families for student success by: • Offering multiple forms of two-way communication with families including apps, email, phone calls, and in-person meetings

to monitor student progress. Data used to monitor student progress may include the following: FastBridge screeners in reading, mathematics, and behavior; attendance records; common assessments; student grades; and discipline referrals. If a student is determined to need additional support, further screening assessments may be utilized to identify specific skill needs. Data is reviewed by our Spartan Intervention Team (SIT), which includes teachers, administrators, school counselors, and specialists. Any student support or intervention needed will be based on data collected. The process benefits students by identifying who needs support and providing support quickly. This translates to student success through: • Evidence-based intervention targeting student needs
