Our logo is an essential part of our brand and has the power to communicate what we stand for and sets us apart from our competition.

LOGO

Our logo is the official mark of BKV Group, and is a firmwide representation of our brand internally and externally. We have select versions to flexibly work with any type of deliverable. To the right are the approved logo versions.

In the instances where the four primary logos do not meet an aesthetic expectation, select from the two alternate logos: an all-gray, and an all-white. For mailing labels, memos, name tags, and more, use the office logos, available in the three primary logo versions, in addition to a vertical format. To showcase our firmwide practice sites and services, use the firmwide logos. Both sets are available in a vertical format too.

LOGO USAGE

The logo is the only graphic approved to represent the brand. In rare and special circumstances, secondary marks are allowed upon approval of the Graphic Standards Committee. To ensure brand standards are upheld, the creation of additional logos is restricted.

Clear Space

Whenever you use the logo, it should be surrounded with 1/2x clear space to ensure it’s visibility and impact. No graphic elements of any kind should interrupt this zone.

To determine the clear space, take the height of the logo and divide it in half.

ON A BACKGROUND

When placing the logo on backgrounds other than white, there are three logo options to choose from. The preferred two options to use for backgrounds that have color are the all black and the all white logos. These are the most versatile options from our collection, and serve the desired aesthetic of the brand.

As a general rule, always ensure that the logo is clearly visible on all designated backgrounds. Refrain from using like colors together, and never use black on black, or gray on gray. The white over red logo should only ever be used on a black background.

Minimum Size Logos

The designated minimum sizes for the logo was developed to ensure clear visibility of the logo. These examples on the right are most commonly used in stationary and marketing materials.

Most commonly used within brochures, proposals, presentations, and on stationary materials such as letterheads.

Our mark is a graphical shape that strengthens our brand’s visual identity.

MARK

Our mark is subordinate to the logo and can be paired with the logo for emphasis, yet also stand alone to graphically call-out information, and be leveraged as a subdued layer.

The mark’s origins pay homage to the architectural scale, while also symbolizing the “ever upwards” ethos our firm aspires to in our work by enriching lives and strengthening communities.

The mark is a malleable graphic asset that can accentuate or highlight specific pieces of information, and better emphasize our logo when paired to the left of it. It is a subtle exclamation mark which reinforces our brand’s look and feel, but in varying degrees of opacity can also be layered on to images and content to create visual dynamism within our firmwide collateral, watermarking it in a way that says, “This is BKV Group.”

BKV Group’s primary typefaces are Lora and Lato. Our secondary typefaces are Arial and Book Antiqua – to be used when a system doesn’t include Lora and Lato, and in e-communications if a recipient does not have Lora and Lato installed.

BKV Group also uses Gellatio and Modernline script for an added graphic touch.

BKV Group uses a strong, vivid red in contrasts with black, white, and shades of gray. Colors in the secondary palette complement our primary colors. When used with the primary palette, they add energy and suggest movement.

Utilized conservatively, the secondary colors accent and highlight significant or specific information.
