• NAAC re accreditation (three cycles) inspection conducted from 3 to 5 October 2016.
A' Grade awarded by NationalAssessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the 3 cycle assessment on 5 November 2016. NAAC re accreditation inspection was conducted from 3 to 5 October 2016. The NAAC Peer team visited our college and assessed the various criteria. • Sri Parthasarathy, is now commissioned as “Lieutenant” for the NCC unit of our college. Our NCC cadets took active participation in the International Yoga Day Celebration held at Kanteerava Stadium on 21 June 2016. Our college is affiliated to raise the new NCC Naval wing from this academic year.
• Free eye testing camp was conducted by Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital on 10 Feb 2017 as a social welfare measure to our neighborhood.

• Intercollegiate Festival 'KALANJALI FIESTA' was conducted on 22 March 2017. The program turned out to be a grand success with 32 colleges registering for various events such as group dance, solo dance, beatboxing and fashion shows.
• Swami Vivekananda’s 154 Birth anniversary program was jointly organized by our college and Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Ulsoor on 12 Jan 2017, BBMP Commissioner Sri Manjunath Prasad, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Sri Shubash Chandra Kountiya, Chief Secretary Govt. of Karnataka enlightened the gathering about the Swamy Vivekananda Life, principles, and lifetime achievements.
• Staff & Students participated in the Youth Week valedictory Celebrations conducted by Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore University at Palace Grounds on 18 January 2017.
• “Bus Bhagya” public awareness program was jointly organized by Bengaluru Bus Prayanikara Vedike, Raj TV and Times of India newspaper on 10 March 2017. Demanding reduction in the bus fare & increasing the number of buses.
• As a part of Seminar & Women's Day celebrations, Ms. Deeparani, Director, Transform Life Program conducted an activity program on 'Women empowerment for the girl students organized by Women's Cell of our college on 10 March 2017.

• On 16 September 2016, Ganesha pooja was celebrated in a rich look in the college quadrangle. The blessings of Lord Ganesha invoked the prosperity of all students and staff members.
Annual cultural report
At the outset, it is my immense pleasure to read the cultural report for the academic year 2016 17. Our prestigious institution believes that cultural events are also equally important as academic activities to see the all around development in the students and to bring out the hidden talent in the students.
Hence many cultural events were conducted during the academic year 2016 17 under the guidance of Dr. M. Jayappa, Principal, and under the leadership of Prof. Prathap, vice principal of RBANMs First Grade College.
• On the 6th and the 7th of September 2016, Talent’s Day was conducted in the college in the quadrangle. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, vice principal, and all staff members. Several events such as rangoli, pot painting, memory test, sketching, mehndi, dumb charades, cooking, without fire, hair-
styling, solo singing, group singing, solo dance, group dance, collage, adaptune, anthakshari, just a minute, face painting, beat boxing, beat the clock, quiz, tongue twister, fashion show, and so on.
• On 5 September 2016, Talents Day was a grand success. The teachers’ day was celebrated with Hon. Secretary Sashindar M. Narrain and Chief Educational officer. Retired Major General Kumbar of RBANMS Educational Charities graced the occasion and appreciated the role of teachers in society and presented mementos on the occasion.

• On 12 January 2017 the Principal, staff members, and students attended Swamy Vivekananda Jayanthi, organized by Ramakrishna Ashram, Ulsoor. The Government of Karnataka arranged bus facilities for our students and 300 students attended “YOUTH WEEK” valedictory function at the Palace Grounds.

We received a good response for the events 25 to 30 colleges across the city registered for various events. In the valedictory function, cash prizes were distributed to the winners of the various events and finally appreciated by the Principal for the efforts of the staff members and others who made this mega event a grand success.
• On 17th September 2017 the graduation day was organized in the college with a dress code and photo session for the students.
The turning point for cultural events was Inter Collegiate Kalanjali Fiesta 2017 which was held in the college on 22 03 2017. The events conducted were group dance, solo dance, beat boxing, and fashion show. The program was inaugurated with colorful entry of film stars, Sri. Shashank Purushotham, Miss. Nivedita, Sri H. Eswarappa, story writer and Director, Hon. Secretary Sashindar M. Narrain, Chief Educational Officer, Major General (Retd.) K. Kumbar, Sri A.A. Sanjeev Narrain, treasurer of RBANMS Educational Charities, Dr. M. Jayappa, Principal, and Prof. Prathap, Vice Principal, and the staff members.
I thank our Management for RBANM's Educational Charities, Principal, Vice Principal, Staff. Members & students extended their support for successfully conducting various Cultural events during the academic year 2016 2017.
• On 8 March 2017, Ethnic Day was conducted, and all students dressed up traditionally and the function was organized in the AV room in the presence of the Principal, vice principal, and Ms. Sivagami, HOD & Associate Professor, Department of Tamil, and other staff members. Women's Day program was also held in the college under the able guidance of Ms. Sivagami, HOD & Department of Tamil & also who is in charge of the cell.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), as a premier youth organization in our country, has immensely contributed to propagating national unity and integrity amongst youth. Its role in installing in them the values of character, discipline, and hard work and in shaping them into dynamic and responsible citizens of the country has been well recognized.
• 10 Cadets attendedArmy Attachment Training Camp held at Goa from 10April to 23April 16.
• On 28 September, 2016, our cadets cleaned the surrounding of our college and displayed slogans to create awareness among the public in view of the Swatch Bharath Mission and a report was sent to the NCC directorate.
• One SW cadet, (Sofia Jennifer P) attended Republic Day Camp representing Karnataka & Goa Directorate which was held in New Delhi on 26 January 2017.
Our NCC unit has really succeeded in building the character of its cadets and in channelizing their energies towards nation building activities and has produced several cadets with ‘B’& ‘C’Certificate which has been an inspiration and moral boost for the upcoming students to join NCC and enthusiastically take up more challenges and achievements.
• OnAugust 15, 2016, 69th Independence Day was celebrated by our cadets and the program was presided over by our Principal Dr. M. Jayappa in the presence of other professors, staff, and ex cadets of us institution.
• On 21 June 2016 International Yoga Day was celebrated. 37 cadets participated and performed Yoga at Kanteerava Stadium and 10 cadets participated and performed yoga atArt of Living, Kanakapura.
This year, there was a lot of opportunity for our cadets to attend various camps.
• On October 8, 2016, The Piloting Team led by junior under officer Keerthanaa B. Dan Utsav Distribution of free books to the poor students.
