ABOUT THE CELEBRATION Black Girls Ride Magazine, in conjunction with HDTV and Byte Syze Marketing present our Second Annual Beautiful Bikers Celebration to honor the women of our Motorcycle Community. Our event highlights the fearlessness and sisterhood of women who embrace the passion of the biker lifestyle. We honor female motorcycle riders and clubs, in celebration of their triumphs and accomplishments on ground.
What is a Beautiful Biker?
The term “Beautiful Bikers” isn’t meant to sexualize women who ride. We get enough of that in mainstream bike magazines and Motorsports events. Our event isn’t about women draped over bikes, with sultry looks. We recognize women for their mileage, sisterhood and service; not their sex appeal or the customized bikes that never make their way out of 3rd gear. There are no awards for cutest outfits, or hottest bikes. You can’t find your way into our ranks via social media. We care less about followers and more about mileage. Sure, you can grab our attention with a picture. But to be RECOGNIZED, you must ride. The awards are for riders and those who participate in service. We are inspired by the journey of our honorees and invite you to join us in Celebration of these awesome Women who Love the Ride. We hope this clarifies the intent of our celebration. You are cordially invited to ride with us. The Beauty is in our Sisterhood of Bikers and the Ride itself.
The honors
Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to a woman who has spent decades ground pounding and has paved the way in our community. Ground Pounder Award, presented to a woman who has gained the most interstate miles in 2014. Beautiful Bikers Award, presented to a group or club who exhibits Excellence in Sisterhood and Gained Mileage on Motorcycle Rides through two or more states in 2014. Sisters in Service Award, presented to an MC or SC who has exhibited Excellence in Sisterhood and Community Service in 2014.
We are proud to announce Annette “BROWN T. SUGAR” Collins, National President and Founder of Hawg Divas MC, as the recipient of the Beautiful Bikers 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to a woman who has spent decades ground pounding and has paved the way in our community. As the Founder and National President of Hawg Divas MC, she broke boundaries by establishing one of the first Female Motorcycle Clubs to be recognized by the all Southern California Motorcycle Riders Association. We are excited to announce the women of Road Queens MC as our Beautiful Bikers Honorees for the 2nd Annual Beautiful Bikers Celebration. Founded by President Choc-Lic on January 22, 2005, Road Queens MC is a non-profit created to provide choc-liq a common base for female Founder & president motorcyclists to bond and road queens MC share mutual experiences, while providing an atmosphere of camaraderie. The Road Queens have since developed a legacy of traveling thousands of miles, and are well known for their state to state rides. They are an inspiration to all riders, nationwide. Since their inception in Stockton, CA, their roots have grown to include members in Arizona and Nevada. With their commitment to riding and sisterhood, Road Queens MC, are true icons in the motorcycle community and embody the true spirit of The Beautiful Bikers Award.
We are excited to announce Tanya “Dynamiq” He’bert as our Ground Pounder Honoree for the 2nd Annual Beautiful Bikers Celebration. Her latest cross country trip covered 18 states and 5,440 miles on ground. Her personal motto is “Don’t hate me because I ride. Don’t envy me because you don’t. Embrace my adventurous spirit and my passion for the ride. I am a lover of the wind!” She’s as “Dynamiq” as her name in person, and has proven to be a true representative of the Beautiful Bikers Celebration.
We are proud to announce the ladies of True Passion Social Club as our Sisters in Service Honoree for our 2nd Annual Beautiful Bikers Celebration. Established in the spring of 1999 as a non-profit organization, True Passion focuses their service in areas concerning children and families residing in the foster care system. In 2014, they have produced monthly charity drives and fundraising efforts nationwide. With chapters in California and Arizona working toward their commitment to the strengthening of our community with hard work and charitable acts, True Passion SC are true examples of Sisters In Service.
