Planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful events in your life. But it doesn’t need to be! I started GonnaGetWed.com and the GonnaGetWed Bridal Showcases to help relieve stress from Brides! Attending a bridal show and creating a profile on GonnaGetWed.com can help every bride save time, meet with wedding industry experts, get ideas, and see the latest wedding trends and fashions. These tips will help you get the most out of the GonnaGetWed Bridal Show.

Pre-register for the show

Save time by registering before the show. Our lines are long, and pre-registration only takes a few minutes and will save you time in the check-in line. You still need to check into the show to get door prize registrations.

Bring your friends & family

Bringing your friends and family to the bridal show will help them feel involved and also give you a head-start on gathering help for your wedding preparations. Many brides bring their maids-of-honor and their bridesmaids to help them with decisions. Many others will bring their mothers or soon to be mothers-in-law especially since they may be the ones paying for it all. Finally, don’t forget the GROOM! He can register for prizes, too, and should get involved early in the planning.

Bring Contact Return Labels

Wedding vendors will often have drawings for prizes at their booths

throughout the show. You will save a ton of time and energy by bringing return labels. We recommend including the following info: your name, address, phone number, wedding date, wedding city and email address.

Take Notes

Or bring your tablet. Just be sure to take notes of vendors you talked to and try to rate them or keep some sort of record of who you liked best. You can also keep notes on ideas, thoughts, and dates of appointments made that day with vendors.

Take Pictures

Many exhibitors have neat displays and you may get some new ideas. Be sure to get permission from the exhibitor before you take photos. It is also fun to get photos of you and your friends and family attending the show for your wedding album.

Set A Budget

Setting your wedding budget and discussing who will be covering the different costs will help you focus on what to look for at the show. Come prepared with lists of questions to help determine if a vendor is right for you and also fits into your budget.

Bring your checkbook

Many wedding vendors will offer a special discount during the show. Bridal shows draw in hundreds of brides and many with the same wedding date. Some dates fill up quickly so being able

to place a deposit with a vendor you find that you want to book will allow you to secure those professionals.

Prepare

Bring your questions for the different industry professionals. Try to review the vendors ahead of time that will be at the show. This will allow you to seek out and spend time talking to those you are really interested in.

Whether you are the Traditional, Modern, Elegant or Vintage bride, your wedding colors really set the theme to your wedding. 2014 trends in wedding colors include more than chair covers – even wedding dresses are stepping out of the standard white or ivory and more pink and gray dresses are being seen. Shades of pink will always remain popular; feminine and gentle, everyone has a favorite hue of pink.

Gray is a unique shade which can both channel modern and vintage wedding styles. Popular in all design in 2014, gray is a wedding color to be considered!

Creating a sharp contrast between softer neutrals, pinks and grays, two shades of blue are also a popular color trend for 2014: Navy Blue and Aqua Blue. These two colors can be accented with either lighter contributing hues or stronger contrasting hues. Check your season and your venue. The right color palette should be something you love today (and in 10 years).

Vintage Details

Delicate lace embellishments and gentle overlays accent even the most modern wedding dress styles. A gentle vintage detail – a beaded belt or headpiece – can help ground a more modern wedding dress. At least one element between the two pieces needs to be consistent. Adding a piece of jewelry from your Grandmother’s collection is also a great way to incorporate some vintage details into your wedding day ensemble and works as a wonderful “Something borrowed” tribute to your Grandmother.

Braided Hair is a whimsical and elegant way to create your wedding day do! Whether you leave it loose and distressed for a tousled vintage look or sleek and smooth for a modern feel, braids are an elegant way to create your up-do. Your dress style should really dictate your hair style. Wedding Tips! Things to have in mind as the big day approaches! ❤ Pick your date wisely

❤ Don’t Make Guests Wait:

be traveling to your wedding. Your gift registry should have a variety of price points. Sure, your co-workers may team up to buy you something special. But your retired aunt and uncle who still have your cousin living in their basement may need to buy you something a little less expensive – everyone needs new towels!

Choosing a day other than Saturday may be less expensive, but it may also require for your guests and wedding party to take more time off of work. Depending on the time of year, that may make it challenging for out-of-town guests to attend. Choose your date wisely! You shouldn't have more than 2 hours between ceremony and reception. Plan something fun like a cocktail hour, a tour of downtown, or a wedding scavenger hunt for guests before the reception.

❤ Think the menu through

Provide alternatives for people who have allergies, dietary restrictions, or vegan/vegetarians. Having a kids menu is also a good idea!

There are a lot of online resources available to help organize your thoughts, attach pictures, write documents, create checklists and stay on top of ALL of the wedding details. But the national websites don’t connect you with the local vendors you will need to work with. Pinterest – Who doesn’t love Pinterest?! Pinterest is a wonderful resource to see new trends, unique ideas, and traditional treasures. One of the best features of Pinterest is that you can create your own boards and pin different images to that board, or category. You can create a board called Flowers and as you search for flower arrangements online, you can pin your favorite pictures to that board. The challenge of Pinterest is that many times, the DIY projects you think will save you money don’t always work out the way you want. They either end up being more expensive or are a lot harder and don’t turn out as well. Trello – Trello is a free online collaboration site that has nothing to do with weddings. But it is all about planning and collaborating with other people! It is free, although you can upgrade to paid versions, if you need.

You can create checklists, assign tasks, move items from “To-Do”, to “Doing”, to “Done.” For tasks that require Due Dates, you can export the calendar and import them into your email calendar to help stay on task! Planning a wedding is a big task – a really big task! Using a wedding planner (like the VOW) is a great way to stay on track. The internet can help you search for and find great ideas, but those “great ideas” may not be right for you or your budget. Connecting with local talent who can help you is going to be the best thing. Creating the concept

how to pick the perfect theme for your wedding Research. P

Take advantage of all types of online planning tools to help you figure out the tone for your wedding. Start pulling ideas from Pinterest, online wedding magazines, and blogs. This is a great way to get the ball rolling. By far it is the easiest way to find tons of ideas on how to personalize your wedding from real brides from all over the country. Also, don’t be afraid to find other ideas elsewhere besides the Internet. Check out local venues, garden centers, and wedding shows to find ideas. Collecting these ideas is the first step in creating a theme that is truly personal to you.

Inspiration P

Start gathering certain items that are near and dear to you. They can be anything! Maybe it’s a handbag with intricate beading or a photo of an exotic location; just make sure they are things you love. Once you have selected a few items start figuring out what exactly it is you love about those items. Are they all similar colors? Do they all have a bold pattern? Maybe they are all full of embellishments and intricate details. Once you have figured out the common factors you can use that as a starting point for creating your concept. This will help set the tone for your wedding whether it be bold, bright, soft, or modern. Also don’t be afraid to think outside the box. If you find an item you love that is not traditionally used in wedding décor think of ideas on how you could incorporate it into your day. That idea could become the statement piece of your wedding and create a truly original concept.

What colors are you drawn to on an everyday basis? A great starting point is taking a look at the colors you surround yourself with. Take a look at your closet and your home décor. Once you have found a color you like pick a hue that compliments it as an accent color. This can be anything from the opposite color on the color wheel to a darker or lighter shade of the original hue you selected. This pallet will then become the color scheme you use throughout your wedding. Make sure to consider your color selections in the season you will be getting married. Also consider colors that may compliment blooms or foliage that are in season for your wedding.

Once you have found all of these elements its time to solidify your theme. Come up with a word or phrase to describe your wedding from all of the items you have selected. Keep it short and sweet. This will help you make sure you stick to your original concept when selecting certain items for the big day.

Now that you have your color pallet and a concept it’s time to put it all together into a visual story of what you visualize for your day. Gather all your magazine clippings, photos, color swatches, and other items and create a small storyboard or scrapbook. Creating this will allow you to show a visual representation of what your vision is to family, friends, and most important of all your vendors. Make sure to make it small enough that it can easily be taken with you when selecting items such as bridesmaid dresses and your cake for the big day. The most important thing to remember through this process is no idea is too corky or crazy. Make sure it is what you want and that it is a true reflection of you and your groom as a couple. The more personal you make it, the more special the day becomes. If you remember those few things you will have created a wedding your guests will never forget.

Giving attention to the ceremony is proper for you as you marriage is more than a mere contract. The early Christians understood something that is often forgotten today – that marriage is a supernatural union. They knew it was the creation of a profound unity of two individual people. It is the spiritual union which gives an added depth to marriage and causes the two in Christ to become one. This depth of relationship makes a church wedding ceremony very appropriate.

Thus, God created marriage. Christ Himself honored marriage by performing His first public miracle at the marriage in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11). God celebrates believers’ marriages and so should His people.

“present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle.” Ephesians 5:7 (NASB)

We also should realize that marriage was instituted by God in the original creational order. According to Genesis 2, God declared all creation good except for one aspect.

Putting thought into your ceremony is so important because it publicly displays the deepest of commitments. It gives the couple an opportunity to declare before family and friends their lifelong devotion, and thus invite the support and prayers of their family and friends. It also gives the opportunity to publicly approve and support the marriage.

This unique symbolism in itself is reason enough to have a Christian ceremony. In all the decisions you will be making, plan the wedding ceremony itself to be all God intended it to be. To write or not to write Writing your own vows is a great opportunity to share your commitment to your future spouse with your friends and family during your ceremony. There are some things you need to take into consideration before the big day! • You both need to be into it. If only one of you wants to write vows, maybe what you should do instead is write private letters to each other. That way you can still share your heart with each other. • Check with the officiant. Sometimes they can help you. Sometimes you aren’t allowed. Check first and you will be in the clear! • Plan early. You do not want to “wing it” – that only goes well in movies (where someone memorized the script pretending to wing it!) • Create an outline. Every great speech begins with an outline. • Keep it SHORT and sweet. Yes, we are all there for your big day. But please, keep it short, there is a party to get to. • Remember your audience. If you first met because he threw beads at you during Mardi Gras… that may not be the best story to recite during your vows. So here are a few tips to achieve the perfect smokey eye on your wedding day: 1. Prepare the lid The key to keeping eyeshadow from melting into your eyelid crease as the day goes on is to keep eyelids oil-free. To do this, start with an eyeshadow base or primer. Swipe it across the eye and let it dry before you continue to the next step. 2. Apply eyeliner If you’re going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply

liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing the line thicker in the middle of eye. If you’re opting for a jewel-toned eye, line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green eye liner. 3. Blend in color on bottom lashes For color on the bottom of your eyes, use an eyeliner pencil, because they’re easiest to smudge. Once the line is drawn, run your finger over it to smudge the line. You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect. 4. Apply light base color Sweep a light, shimmery shadow over the lids to your brow bone. 5. Blend the darker color Be sure to keep the dark color below the crease. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend in color starting at your lash line, blending up. Make sure to blend

nce you find the dress of your dreams, be sure you put forth the effort necessary to ensure you will look your very best in it. You will want to focus on and play up the assets that your dress will show off. In addition to your regular healthy diet and cardio program, try adding these specific exercises to your regimen. Each exercise should be done 3 times a week in sets of 10 reps and 4 sets per day. Halter, strapless and open back dresses will feature your upper back. Tone those muscles including lats, traps, rhomboids and deltoids by trying the dumbbell raise. Grasp the dumbbells with your arms in front of you, palms facing your body. Slowly raise the dumbbells up until your arms are straight out in front of your chin. Lower slowly and repeat. (Fig. 1)

Gowns with straps or plunging or sweetheart necklines will draw attention to your chest. Those muscles include your pecs and deltoids. Try doing a dumbbell chest press. Lie flat on the floor with your arms forming an â&#x20AC;&#x153;Lâ&#x20AC;? shape. Extend arms upward until arms are straight over your head and elbows are straight. Then lower using a controlled motion. (Fig. 2) Spaghetti straps, halter and strapless dresses all feature the arms and shoulders, including your biceps and triceps. The dumbbell shoulder raise will allow you to tone those areas. (Fig. 3) Hold the dumbbells with your arms bent at a 90 degree angle and palms facing your body. Lift your arms over your head until fully extended. Lower and raise again. Form-fitted, sheath, column, hourglass, mermaid and trumpet style dresses cling to the body, emphasizing the belly, butt and thighs. Your abs, obliques, quads, glutes and hamstrings are the focal points. (Fig. 4) The dumbbell lunge can work most of those areas. Holding the dumbbells straight at your sides, take a large step forward. Keep the back leg straight and bend the front leg as you descend as far as you can. Then step forward with the back foot now making this the front bent leg. For more exercise options, be sure to enlist the help of your local gym trainer and fitness experts. he guest list is set, but how exactly do you address the envelopes? Who comes first, and what is this “and guest” business? Follow these simple guidelines to get your invitations to the post office in no time. • Check your guest list to ensure guest names and addresses are correct. • Be sure to use formal names; no nicknames or initials. Always spell out titles or degrees, like Doctor. • Always use Mr. and Mrs. for married couples with the same last name. If the married couple have different last names, then use Mr. and Ms. and place the names on the same line in alphabetical order.

• If a couple is not married but living together, use Mr. and Ms. and place the names in alphabetical order on separate lines. • Children's names should go on the inner envelope. If you're not using an inner envelope, be sure the children's names go on a separate line under the parents' names. (If children's names are left off of an invitation, it implies they are not invited.) Children over the age of 18 who are living with their parents should receive their own invitation. • Women who are widowed should be addressed using their late husband's name with Mrs. as the title. • When inviting single persons who are welcome to bring a guest, use Mr.,

Post-edited This is the most common and most expensive. It is time consuming because the videographer takes all the footage, cuts out the boring parts, smooths out the transitions in-between scenes and often ads titles & music. As the size of bridal parties continues to grow, so does the size of the limo bus. It is not uncommon to rent a vehicle that holds 20-30 people or possibly even more. There are multiple uses for different vehicles, not just for bridal parties to get from the ceremony to the reception. Some other uses are using a limo to get from the hotel to the church after the bridal party gets ready. It is also not uncommon for the bride and groom to send a car to bring parents, grandparents and other special guests to the church and reception. The wedding day is just as important to them as it is to the couple so why not make it special for them as well. Another popular use for a limo bus is for a “safe ride” program for guests to get to and from the hotel and reception site. Alcohol is often a big part of the reception celebration, and it is a nice perk for guests to not have to worry about driving following the reception. Mortgage Myth #1 – My credit score suffers when I shop for a mortgage. Inquiries into your credit can affect your score. Your credit score can have an impact on which programs you qualify for and what rate you receive. However, if several lenders pull credit within a short period of time, it should not affect your score. If you go to a lender every week for a month or two, then yes, your score may take a hit. If you are going to shop for a mortgage, do it by applying at all the lenders in the same week, if possible, to avoid issues that can affect your qualifying rate and terms. Mortgage Myth #2 – A 30-Year Fixed Rate Mortgage is the way to go. Rates on fixed rate loans are historically low. But the consumer has many options including 10-year, 15-year, 20-year or even a 25-year fixed rate loan. Rates usually improve the shorter the term of the loan. Also, Adjustable Rate Mortgages are at historic lows as well and for the right situation, can save the borrower thousands in interest. Talking to a mortgage lender will help you determine what loan structure fits your financial needs. Mortgage Myth #3 – I will have mortgage insurance on my loan forever. If you have a loan that requires mortgage insurance, it will eventually fall off. For example, FHA loans drop the insurance when your loan balance reaches 78% of the original value of the home at the time of financing. Conventional loans will also remove your mortgage insurance at the 78% mark. You can always request it be removed early if you think your home has appreciated enough, but might have to do an appraisal to support the value. Mortgage insurance is a great tool to help you get in to a home, but it won’t be required forever. Under some circumstances, it's even tax deductible.

Mortgage Myth #4 – Banks aren’t lending, it's hard and takes too long get approved. While it is true that state income programs have disappeared, people who make their payments and can show their income, can and will get a loan. Some programs have increased their minimum credit score requirements to 620 or higher. If your credit score is under that, start working on it now! One or two 30-day late payments will not normally affect your approval but it may affect the interest rate you qualify for. When you go to the appointment with your mortgage lender, bring your most recent two years of income tax returns, current pay stubs and current bank statements.
