Men have this thing. It is a blend of tenacity and competition. The upper hand is always being sought out. The cover-ups and boastful play acting are parts of the game. And it is a game…a fiction. Not a real relationship at all. Could be a great deal different and better. With Christ in the midst.

With the transparency and burden bearing of brotherly kindness.

I find it hard to capture The thing we have as men.

The secrets we feel Safe to share.

The coming back again.

The eagerness for Distance gained.

The laughter And the pain.

True living, rich

In Brotherhood.

Where Jesus shows again.

Yeah, just get in my face Awhile.

I need someone Someone male and true.

To set me straight.

To listen mostly Without judgment.

In confidence.

And patient enough To receive enough Of this sad mix.

And consider.

To lay simple Next steps on the table.

Perhaps a small Scripture verse Or experience of Similar wrenching and trial.

And eventual way through.

Yeah, that’s what I need.

Turned out that Most of the thing Was wasted adrenaline.

Prayer brought God’s peace.

Talks occasionally With a good friend.

Worked like a thermometer.

Measuring.

Gaining insight.

Defeating the loneliness.

Lightening the weight.

Bringing us new Depths of comfort And friendship.

Victory, eventually.

Good stuff for sure.
