Have I Said Enough? The risk of going on after one is finished Offered by Doug Blair, Kitchener ON, 2022

I have posted much In the years gone by And I thought it all Reached beyond the sky Reached hurting hearts With questions rare Did they sense a Lord Full of power and care? Jesus, He’s the One With the time and Heart Absolution’s Blood Brings a brand new start. Now I thought such News Answers many a quest So I wrote my poems Thinking, Here’s the best. But the pride set in Oh that stinking blight And the Sunrise true Became shades of night For the Reader tired And for Doug, puffed up. How could such convey From Salvation’s Cup?

A HUMBLED RETROSPECTIVE

Cavendish Beach, PEI

Since 2008 I have posted way too much stuff. Pushed too hard. Pumped up the energies of evangelism to the point of going on after I have finished. Literally thousands of articles, poems, ebooks and videos in numerous sites. People close to me are becoming tired with it all. To them it is as if I can sing only one song; convey only one interest. Tired with Jesus? Are they? Hope not. I have compiled 33 articles in this little package. One for each year of Jesus’ Gospel Earth Walk. I will never tire of worship, wonder and thanksgiving. Truly there must arise a remnant of those who hope and wait for the Solemn Assembly.

Jesus WILL bring it to pass. Rekindling the fires of holy fear and humble helping. Peace on Earth. Good Will toward men. I have often heard people say, Go to the end of the Book. We win! Read that little prophetic work of Zephaniah. God will be in our midst gloriously, and He will sing over us.

How Last Comes First

How strange that He knows First come last And the last come up First in His plan. The meek and passed by Get the Pearl. Not the way that seems Rightest with Man.

Give the gold to astute And well heeled. They have worked and Have studied their best. But the gentle, reserved On the sidelines. Seem to stumble, but Still pass the test. Lord’s Elect He has given them call. And they rally for Gifts they can’t earn. And the greatest Reversing Man’s Fall. It’s those Simple

Oft’ bowing, grasp all. LABELS: COMING THROUGH COMING WRATH CONSTANCY FAITH NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE QUANDARY QUIET TIME REALIZING FAVOUR REFRESHMENT

One Weapon It is interesting that in compiling this little package, I stopped right here for a while, and joined my wife Hilary. She was watching the online Sunday service of Elevation Church in North Carolina with Steven Furtick. He was preaching from 1 Samul chapters 13 and 14. Please take the time to read for yourself 1 Samuel 14: 6-23. Jonathan, who was David’s best friend and King Saul’s son, had an impression from God that it was time for the Lord to humble and overcome the ungodly Philistine enemies. They had gotten advantage over the Israelites and had removed every blacksmith that might have formed for them superior fighting weapons. They had mastered the art of shaping iron into implements of battle or of agriculture. It was for the Philistines the Ace in the Whole. But Jonathan had a Word and a sword and a trustworthy servant. Upon God’s impulse let us climb that cliff and dispatch the Enemy. Sounded crazy; only two men and a message of indomitable spiritual power. But those men easily overcame at least twenty, well armed. King Saul got wind of this unbelievable accomplishment and spurred on his Army (finally!). When they arrived at the place of encounter, they found numerous corpses as apparently confusion had caused horrible panic whereupon the Philistines slaughtered one another. And with their own precious sharpened swords. The battle had been won already. Read 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6.

Now you/I have a challenge seemingly meant to discourage and destroy. You will have been given at least one weapon/ability. That item with the Lord’s endorsement breaks down walls, impediments, slander, unbelief, weariness…the works launched at you by the Philistines. And just one weapon is needed. To be exercised with faith and balance. It would be quite alright for you to SHOUT, DANCE, STOMP YOUR FEET, SING PRAISES…whatever. You have had the input of some Blacksmith after all. Some single, audacious, skilled, tested and proved BLACKSMITH.
