Physical meetings are cool! We are really looking forward to all markets and exhibition places we are joining during 2024, and hoping to see you there. Our chairs, sofas, bar stools and tables are meant to be used, tested, touched, and judged.... and we long for your opinions. For a couple of years we have been working with design from a new sustainability perspective, questioning what sustainability really mean in our times. There are no shortcuts worth defending, and it’s not about thinking outside the box, it’s instead about looking inside the box. The increasingly shrinking box, with walls constructed by rules, regulations, laws, certificates, and demands. Are we able to create original design from inside the box? We believe we are able... Are we ABLE to think inside the box? The constant shrinking box, with walls of rules, regulations, laws, certificates, and demands. There is no newness to Blå Station when it comes to addressing issues such as sustainability, durability, and timelessness. In fact, since 1986 and the birth of the company, these factors have been constant throughout every design. However, could all questions and demands be addressed in one product? Could one product be sustainable, recyclable, upgradeable, changeable, renewable, dismountable, traceable, serviceable, adaptable, and still lovable? ABLE is more than a chair, more than an armchair. A polyfunctional, yet concrete and honest character. 100% recyclable. So, yes, we are ABLE!

In a world constantly flooded with new digital and human-abandoned solutions, Veva became an opportunity for us to return to the simple, the obvious - what the eye sees and understands - in an instant. In the near future the function of cranking may no longer be a matter of course. For us, a crank conveys that something can be turned, go up and down, in or out. We automatically grab the knob and start cranking to see what happens. We can almost see our new table, Veva, as an educational product, to preserve a simple and, for us, obvious manual intervention. We are functionalists after all. But, in the small, custom-made-by-us crankcase, major, advanced technology can be found. A technique that normally requires completely different volumes to work. Come on - Here’s VEVA!

VEVA is available in heights 520-720mm or 900-1200mm. Crank up and down. VEVA stops in the desired position. If you want a table height of 611.5mm, VEVA offers it. VEVA is available in 4000 different heights if we count every millimeter.

…stood there one day, in front of the mirror and wished it was slightly, almost imperceptibly convex, so that what I saw would be a little bit slimmer and a little bit taller. But a good mirror is flat and reflects the truth, which brought to mind polished shaped surfaces in metal. Would a round glossy mirror-surface disappear in the room, or could the surfaces be shaped so that they reflect the room in different ways? So, BLANK became an experiment with 3 different reflective surfaces. A vertical straight convex, a horizontal round curved and a flat which reflects you if you look straight down at the surface. Times are changing and more than ever we need to surround ourselves with objects that inspire us, that create a mood and make us reflect. The monumental candlestick Holy Moly encourages us to celebrate in our everyday lives. Holy Moly embraces the Scandinavian traditions of worship and the importance of illumination during our long Nordic winter nights with the magical warmth of candlelight. The shapes are drawn from classical models, each with its own expression, that complement and interact with each other.

A true innovation. Sturdy but nimble, and very comfortable. OM presents a generously slender seat supported by minimal construction. An expertly moulded piece of plywood turns the hind legs into an accommodating backrest. The same thinly cut plywood is used for the front legs and the enclosing rim, all with a precise geometry that allow for a play of shadows and light to set off the lightness of the design even further. OM is made in European oak or ash; dyed colours are optional along with padded seats. New in 2024 is the leather padded backrests.

POCKET X | Stone Designs | 2017 – 2O23

While Pocket sits tight and sturdy on its short, angled legs, the new Pocket X offers more flexibility with a castor solution. Pocket offers an elegant solution to a hitherto undesigned need. The cup-like chair has a shell that expands slightly upward in a comfortable embrace and allow for a neat and secure extra-storage in bustling public spaces such as hotel lobbies, waiting areas, bars, and restaurants. Pocket will also keep a neat order at the office, and why not at home?

MOODBORD | Modesty Concept | 2O23

All you need is BOB, a sofa system providing almost unlimited options. Build it short or long, straight or winding or double sided with just a couple or a lot of modules. Seat and backrest, of the ordinary BOB module’s is a mere 26 centimeters in width, which turns BOB into an easily understood and extreamely flexible modular sofa system. Make it straight, add a hairpin turn, or let the caterpillar-like formations flow in gentle rhytmical curves. Where ordinary sofas are usually rectangular, square and predictable, Bob offers an architonic freedom to either challenge or adhere to all types of spaces.

Moodbord brings order and creativity together in exact craftsmanship inspired by vintage retail sales counters. Moodbord is made from cross-laminated pinewood that is sturdy, strong, and with a distinct character. It can be dyed in many colours and the double-sided modules can be joined together to any length desired.

Max offers soft comfort, fully clothed with a springy lushness. The craftsmanship expressed in the precise seams endows Max with a distinct character that will bring any space to life. The comfort is excellent thanks to no-sag springs covered with moulded foam, all held in place by an exact and quite demanding stitching process.

The light and nimble modular sofa system Unit is updated with a new frame that makes it more accessible and gives Unit an even lighter expression – truly like a magic carpet! Unit is available as a stool, easy chair, table section and now also as a brand-new corner section to complete the system and bring it to new environments with a greater creative canvas.

BOB BIZ – A flexible solution for interactive communal spaces as well as private ones. The undulating soft openness of the BOB sofa system can now be enhanced with secluded and more private spaces thanks to BOB BIZ. Break away from the community for a while for an intensive face-to-face meeting, or a social chat, or a brainstorming mini conference. The padded screens will create enclosed spaces out of the BOB seating modules and BOB BIZ screens. BOB BIZ can build into entire rooms with space for 2 people, for 4, for 6, for 8... you can just keep making it longer - and longer. BOB BIZ is well padded for good acoustics and is available in two versions: open or closed. BOB SOLO is an offspring of BOB, that can be kept close by or left free to roam about independently. Two comfortably padded screens enclose the cubicle’s lush seats which are completed with armrests. BOB SOLO has small but strong wheels underneath which allow BOB SOLO to go anywhere. No need for extension cables thanks to a detachable power bank that will charge smartphones wirelessly, along with laptops. The small table, which is made in solid oak is perfect for a laptop, a book, and documents. Smaller shelves, coat hooks, mug holders, along with a foldable rectangular steel table are at hand whenever needed. BOB SOLO is a nook for privacy.

BOB CORNER. When the wavy rolling form of the BOB sofa system encounters a corner, a hairpin bend might not be enough. It is now possible to build BOB with sharp 90-degree corners as well as soft corners. BOB Corner will also allow for plant arrangements, and similar breaks to be inserted. BOB SPLIT. When you want to go in different directions at the same time. There are projects where you don’t want to turn left or right but both ways at the same time. BOB Split works as an offshoot so you don’t have to choose.

The square sofa system. Build a long straight line interspaced with armrests, writing tablets and electricity, or customize it to be open and inviting, with as few additions as possible. Double the width with a causal side to rest in, and a stricter front for work or a short stay on the go. RUT is all about flexibility, and favours slowness and lingering comfort as much as temporary seating. Compose and rearrange according to functional and aesthetic needs. Add accessories of your choice, RUT comes with writing tablet, electricity, and armrest options. Each module measures 75cm x 75cm. RUT offers an elegant contrast between soft generous seating modules, and a sturdy exposed linear base made of a steel H-beam resting on two, or more, solid oak supports. Assemble as many squares as needed. Turn them around to offer different seating possibilities: then simply fix together with two bolts.
