Blå Station has climbed the recognition ladder and become an internationally well-known progressive design company, and we are still exploring the undone. Will 2025 be just another year or not? Let’s see in the future, but each year brings new questions that can be ignored or developed and answered. This year’s news and designs are a continuation of Blå Station’s interpretation of these questions and future requirements, and the antistatic product design. Why settle for one option? Why settle at all? The future does not wait, and the past has already passed. Welcome to a company that has more questions than answers, but strong convictions.

We are well-known for our high-quality designed contract furniture. But sometimes, like now, we are attracted to try out where the boundaries are between contract super comfort and the comfort you would like at home. Villhem is a play with words. Vill hem! Meaning; I want to go home! The design is a continuation of our interpretation of future requirements in core values and construction.

Villhem comes with a layer glued compression moulded wooden seat shell and armrest which can be upgraded with padded armrests, upholstered seat, backrest and a neck cushion. All at once or separately. Villhem also comes as supersoft, with a steel and nozag inner frame comfortably padded in leather. All of the models are of course easily separable.

Last year’s super success ABLE – the chair born from thinking inside the box, following all existing and future demands, laws, regulations and certifications, from sustainable, renewable, changeable to recyclable and everything in-between, is now expanding into a table system without leaving its task.

Able Table has a steel construction, zinked connections, double sided glass tops with one side black the other a spy mirror glass. Comes in three different sizes.

ABLE is the answer to the question; Are we able to think inside the box? The constant shrinking box, with walls of rules, regulations, laws, certificates, and demands. We have always addressed issues such as sustainability, durability, and timelessness. Ever since the birth of the company in 1986, these factors have been constant throughout every design. With Able we show that all questions and demands can be addressed in one product. One product can be sustainable, recyclable, upgradeable, changeable, renewable, dismountable, traceable, serviceable, adaptable, and lovable! ABLE is more than a chair, more than an armchair. A polyfunctional, yet concrete and honest character. 100% recyclable. ABLE is able!

PYR is a manifest and not just a new chair. P.Y.R is a celebration of simplicity and a question of where the boundaries are between what is yours and what is mine. Could a great idea, turned into a simple product - obvious and easy to copy – still be protected by Intellectual Property laws - or should we just surrender and give it all away? Is simplicity as valuable and worth protecting as the complicated?

The Spanish design studio Stone Designs has once again created a shape we cannot resist. Like a thumbprint in soft clay the shape feels familiar and timeless and like the three previous sound absorbers/wall decorations, Ginkgo, Gaia and Arc, Drip is multifunctional in the way that it is just ONE panel that can be turned in four different directions or change place with others, creating new and endless patterns. Drip reduces ambient noise and echoes in the room and gives the room the best sound quality while creating a colourful and inspiring ambient.

Drip is mounted on the wall with a magnetic fitting, so you can easily move around the panels when you feel like it, maybe to change direction or go from light to dark.

Decofunc is functional decoration for the wall. The designers and Blå Station wanted to explore a multi flexible non-permanent pattern, that goes hand in hand with functionality. We call ourselves functionalists, and now we have a product that is exploring function and decoration in one endless system.

Decofunc has a steel frame that can be turned in four different directions – creating endless variations, solid wooden knobs, non-permanent add-ons in hot-moulded recycled polyester felt and soon with flat inserts in wood, steel or felt. Beautiful with and without fillers.

The original super-sofa-system, which in just 8 years has inspired the furniture industry worldwide to follow – is still growing. 2025 BOB is (so far) expanding with one new module BOB LONG, a new seat as deep as the normal seat + a backrest put together. This new seat module opens new possibilities for architects. BOB - the endless Lego for architects.

The BOB journey started 2017 with 6 moulded parts combined into 10 sections and is now a sofa system providing almost unlimited options, constructed using the smallest possible number of modules. BOB is an easy to understand and extremely flexible sofa system. Where ordinary sofas are usually rectangular, square, and predictable, BOB offers the architectonic freedom to either challenge or adhere to all types of spaces.

Bob is fully upholstered in all directions opening up even more possibilities when handling ever-changing interior architecture. The straightforward construction requires a minimum of maintenance: a frame in FSC-certified plywood with a sturdy yet soft moulded polyurethane foam, and a broad selection of fabrics and colours.

Bobby X & Bobban X with wheels unlocks the full potential of the already versatile furniture family. There are places where you haven’t quite decided on just one use, places you want to be able to rearrange quickly and easily to meet different needs than the ones you just had. Maybe connected chairs should be separated and function as conversation chairs after the talk is over. Perhaps a room should be changed from daytime activity to evening events. Bobby is a chair, a sofa and more, always with magnets and now with the option of adding wheels for even more flexibility. The new smooth wheels are lockable to ensure stability when a configuration is selected. The increased seat height makes it perfect for conference or hospitality areas.

Turn came 2023 as a small coffee table in three heights and sizes for the in-between spaces. A straightforward elegant table as content in the hybrid workspace as in a private home. Now we let Turn enter the hospitality areas as a café and dining table with a higher height of 72cm and a footplate in steel. The tabletop can be round or square or a “round-square” where the sides are straight, inviting the possibility to put tables together for closer community. With Turn we welcome decoration back into the design world.

The digital and human-abandoned technical solutions of today, made us look for the simple, the obvious - what the eye sees and understands. In a near future, the function of cranking may no longer be found. For us, a crank signals that something will happen when using it, go up and down, in or out. Why is there a crank? We can almost look at Veva, as an educational product, to preserve a simple and, for us, obvious manual invention. We are functionalists after all. And in the small, custom-made crankcase, major, advanced technology can be found. A technique that normally requires completely different sizes to work. Keep cranking, VEVA!

BLANK | Johan Lindau | 2O24

BLANK started as an experiment with 3 different reflective surfaces. Would a round glossy mirror-surface disappear in the room, or could the surfaces be shaped so that they reflect the room in different ways? A vertical straight convex, a horizontal round curved and a flat which reflects you if you look straight down at the surface. It resulted in a small glossy and reflective table. BLANK. Now available in two heights, 40 and 47 cm.
