AXEL COLLECTION In paying homage to Swedish architect Axel Einar Hjorth’s work that straddled Art Deco and Modernist aesthetics, with its emphasis on minimalism and functionality, the Axel Collection based upon Swedish rural traditions, is nonetheless astonishingly modern. With its simplicity of construction, and the warmth of reclaimed aromatic timber, the delicate rigor of proportion is elevated.

CADIZ COLLECTION

A tribute to the traditional chairs spotted in an Andalusian taberna, we refined the silhouette and added a reversible seat cushion in Egyptian linen for a relaxed posture. Entirely hand crafted from natural materials, The Cรกdiz Seating Collection is anything but hackney. Hand turned and cerused French Oak spindles tenon through a frame that is wrapped in rush traditionally harvested from the marshlands of The Fertile Crescent.

MONTROSE COLLECTION The Montrose Collection reflects memories of the raw natural beauty of the Southern California Foothills - days spent in craftsman bungalows, filtered light dancing through twisted live oaks as a salted breeze calls -contemporary silhouetting rooted in craftsman construction with an effortless outlook.

Three-way miters meet as radiused sculpted edges plunge below, French Oak conturing the subtleties of a tailored silhouette. The wire brushed finishes enhance with the wood's natural grain creating a raw, refined table. Finished in a variety of sumizome, bleached, or fumed finishes to enhance the natural character of the wood with reverence creating a raw, refined collection.

NORRA COLLECTION With a fluted carved face of reclaimed old growth elm and flame finished bluestone top the Norra Collection, in all her forms, reflects architectural tradition while making a raw and refined statement. The clarity of line and simplicity of forms is maintained throughout the collection with the help of blind pulls and fully concealed soft close hardware.

As the dilapidated centuries old timber structures in and around one of our workshops make way for contemporary necessities, we have found an opportunity and use for the timber that would otherwise be waste. With just the right amount of natural weathering and the sprinkled patina of nail holes and patches, we find this reclaimed old growth elm timber to be the perfect material for some of our more simply stated forms.

From the symbology of the Achaemenid Empire to the tradition of timber framing, the Saltire has served as a symbol of strength. The cruciform makes a visual statement as robust as its structure.

In our Saltire Collection, hand hammered marbles are quarried from Sinai Valley sites once used by the Pharos. Bench made French Oak frames are expertly joined by traditional colombage methods and utilize an offset saltire form truss for rigid, minimal bases.

SINE COLLECTION In 1822, French mathematician Joseph Fourier discovered that sinusoidal waves can be used as simple building blocks to describe and approximate any periodic waveform. Fourier used his discovery as al tool in the study of waves and heat flow. To honor his discovery we have joined undulating sine waveform panels of French Oak to comprise the faces of our Sine Collection. Hidden soft-close, and push-to-open hardware keep the appearance in harmonious resonance.
