your life, your home, your community. How are you all doing? I’ve definitely perked up since the clocks went forward at the end of March. Winter was dragging on that bit too long for me and I was beginning to feel fed up to be honest. I’m sure I’m not on my own. Mind you, it’s not surprising spring, summer and winter all rolled into one last year and it feels like we’re only just coming out of it now. At least we’re not in recession according to the news, but if you speak to most of the small local businesses I’m not sure that they would agree! If the government is struggling to predict and calculate how to stimulate the economy, it may well be better investing in how to predict a more accurate weather forecast. It really does feel like our economy is 100% dictated to by our weather. Our farmers have already had a tough start to the year. A prolonged cold March with snowy conditions resulted in record numbers of people looking for last minute holidays abroad, instead of the usual numbers holidaying in this country or starting the seasonal DIY.At least we surely can’t have a summer as wet as last year’s. If we can have a decent summer does that

mean the economy will start to grow at a higher rate? I wouldn’t like to say, but if our top politicians can’t agree whether Maggie Thatcher made or broke this country I’m not sure we’re in safe hands! And I’m also not sure that most people’s wages would agree we’re not in recession either, especially after a winter of petrol, gas and electricity costs. At least we’re moving into a few months where we’ll need less heat – well, I hope so at least! I think the butchers are all still doing well after the horse meat scandal returned us all to their doors, which is great news. And despite it being a Monday as I type this, a text from one of my advertisers telling me that for him our magazine is working as well today as it did a few years ago, is like music to my ears. That’s like a dose of the sun in itself and I’m happy - well, at least for today...... Have a lovely month of May.
All the best, Jill

West Highland Ramblings
A Diary of Douglas the Westie
Sorry about the lack of an article last month, but I was just back from a camping trip in Anglesey and to be honest my paws were so cold I couldn’t operate the keyboard. As usual, Himself was going on about how wonderful everywhere looked with snow on the mountains, but all I was concerned about was where could I go to get warm! Talking of snow, I have to apologise to readers for wishing the return of snow so I could leap around in the fields once more! Himself is often saying ‘be careful what you wish for’ and now I know what he means! I was well and truly buried in it this time; even I was glad to see the back of it. There are certain disadvantages to having low slung nether regions! Now about my nether regions, certain neighbours, who shall be nameless, have been heard to say “my goodness he’s gone fat”. So much so that they have renamed me Tublas. Well, I have to say that I am truly mortified and off the Village Hall to join fat busters or whatever they call themselves. Look out for the new lithe Douglas.
6
I have been spending some time looking after Auntie Avril in Chester again and was horrified to hear her comment that I now have only two speeds when out for walks – slow and stop! Actually, I have three speeds – slow, very slow and stop! Himself has been talking about giving me some mobility tablets – my friend Meg takes something called ‘You Move’ for joint problems. I thought it was the name of the place where humans bought their new kennels. It was suggested I should try it. One unkind person suggested a stick of dynamite might have more effect, which I thought was most cruel - a call to the RSPCA might be in order. Well enough of these weighty issues and back to the real world. I have been glued to a TV series called Broadchurch over the last few weeks (yes, I know you are saying that I am a couch potato) and have been having thoughts about launching into a TV career. Maybe a Welsh version called Widechapel set on the North Wales coast and featuring Chief Superintendant Douglas and Sergeant Striker would go down well …it is a shame detectives don’t wear uniforms - Kira has been heard to say that she quite fancies a male in uniform. What it is to have an over active imagination!!! Bye for now Douglas x

George Osborne presented his fourth budget on 20th March 2013 in the midst of us still having a weak economy. At least we are not in a triple-dip recession! Many of the announcements were aimed at businesses to stimulate economic growth. Here we look at some of the headline items and key allowances for individuals and businesses. • The basic personal allowance (currently £9,440) is to be increased to £10,000 from 6 April 2014. This is a year earlier than planned. • Support for home buyers - A new Help-toBuy scheme was announced. The government will provide interest-free loans of up to 20% of the value of new-build properties as a deposit, provided buyers can find 5% themselves. This is good news for those currently house-hunting and also for current homeowners as it could result in house prices increasing.
do not benefit from a reduction in their corporation tax rate. • Employment Allowance - an allowance of £2,000 per year will be available for all businesses and charities to offset against the cost of employer’s class 1 national insurance contributions (NICs). This should provide a real reduction in the cost of employing workers by all types of businesses. The new employment allowance will reduce employer’s NICs paid from 6 April 2014. It’s a shame that we need to wait until 2014 for the change! • Key Allowances for tax year 2013-14 • Personal allowance up to £9,440 from £8,105 • Higher rate tax down to £32,010 from £34,370 • VAT threshold up to £79k from £77k
• Personal capital gains tax allowance – unchanged at £10,600 (goes up to £11k in tax • Fuel duty – an increase in fuel duty of 1.89 year 2014-15). pence per litre planned from 1 September • Corporation tax – unchanged at 20% for 2013 has been cancelled. companies with profits under £300,000. Main • Corporation Tax - corporation tax rates for rate fell by 1% to 23% from April 2013. small and large companies will be aligned at • ISA threshold £11,520. Max. of £5,760 cash. 20% from April 2015.The small companies’ rate (for companies with profits of up to £300,000) • Mileage stays at 45p per mile for business use is already 20% and the main corporation tax of private car up to 10,000 miles, and 25p for rate will reduce from its current 23% to 21% additional miles. for the year beginning 1 April 2014 and to 20% If you require additional information for the year beginning 1 April 2015. Possibly a bit of wishful thinking - but some of you may be heading to foreign shores! We all like to make the most of catching the sun and looking tanned and gorgeous, but remember beauty is only skin deep. We need to protect our skin from the sun so before you think about sprawling out sunbathing without any sun protection cream, think again.
WHAT’S IN A SUNBURN? A sunburn is basically an inflammation of the skin cells, as a result of exposure to the sun (also sun lamps). The skin becomes red, painful and sometimes blistered. Experts reckon that one severe burning session before the age of 15 can double the risk of skin cancer. HOW DO I PROTECT MYSELF? In short, by having some respect for the sun. Always use a cream, block or lotion with a Sun Protection Factor (or SPF). This is basically a filter system designed to block out harmful UV rays and stop you from burning too quickly.
THE RIGHT SPF FOR ME? A high one. Experts actually recommend using nothing less than SPF15. Rub it on before going out in the sun and repeat the process throughout the day. If you’re planning on going for a dip be sure that you’re using • UVA rays penetrate deep into the skin layer, a water resistant sun cream because sunlight causing premature ageing and increasing actually increases in strength as it passes the risk of skin cancer. through water. Protecting yourself from the • UVB rays burn the surface of the skin, sun doesn’t have to be a sweat. causing it to tan and burn. Check out the truth about tanning - What’s in the sun? The sun gives off powerful radiation waves, including different kinds of ultraviolet rays. Here are the two that should concern you:
WHAT’S IN A TAN? A substance called melanin gives the skin colour and provides some natural protection against the sun’s UV rays. In sunshine, melanin builds up and the skin becomes darker. Be warned, however, melanin takes time to build up a protective layer on the surface of the skin. Stripping off the moment the sun appears means the skin is unprepared, and quickly burns. It’s true that people with naturally dark skin have high levels of the melanin pigment, but no one is completely immune from burning.

covershot Y INSIGHT INTO YOUR MONTHL
Here is the chance to shine on the front cover of ‘essentiallyours’. I have decided to give myself a break and hand over the creative frontage to you, just for one month It’s quite straight forward really, all I want you to do is come up with a front cover photograph for the August issue of Essentiallyours. That gives you plenty of time to get your act together to create a masterpiece fit to grace the front of 4000 magazines delivered in your area. Now, here come the technical bits and the very loose rules I have just made up, so concentrate! The photograph MUST be portrait format, not landscape! Which means, it must be long and thin, not short and fat. It must also be a recent, local photograph, as lovely as they are, I don’t want a shot of Big Ben or one of your children on the beach at Bangor! For copyright purposes the image must be your own, please don’t be scanning in a Lord Lichfield from some magazine and passing it off as your own, that would be very naughty 16

LAVISTER CHAPEL SUPPORT GROUP FOR NIGHTINGALE HOUSE HOSPICE Our fund raising for Nightingale House began at our little chapel on the corner of Darland Lane almost twenty years ago. We started when the money was first being raised to build the Hospice. When we had to close the little chapel in 1999 we decided to carry on as a group supporting the valuable work of the Hospice. We have had two or three events each year, some small, some more memorable like the time we had the newly formed choir “Handbag of Harmonies”, followed by the Fron Male Voice Choir when they were at a particularly high spot in their programme, about to release their CD “Voice in the Valley”. Both these concerts took place in Pulford Parish Church to packed audiences. Our loyal band of workers have thoroughly enjoyed the time we have had planning and presenting these events, providing a good evening of enjoyment and raising many thousands of pounds for the work of the Hospice. We have now come to the stage when we need to wind down, so are very pleased to say that our final Garden Party will take place at Lavister Chapel where the project started all those years ago. It will take place on Saturday 22nd June from 2.304.30pm. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased from Gill and Tony Tanner tel: 01244 571048. We hope some good hearted people will come and take up the baton so that the village of Rossett will still have a support group for Nightingale House. The work done there is of such high quality, and we feel proud we have such a caring establishment for the people of this area. White Wagtail Hybrid Shelducks - Gresford Flash © Hugh Linn
At the end of March, when the snow began to thaw, a sign that Spring might eventually become reality was the appearance of birds in unexpected places. Locally we had a Short-eared Owl spotted in Burton by Peter Cade, a Little Gull (extremely unusual in this part of the world) spending Easter weekend at Gresford Flash, a Goshawk soaring above Marford Hill, an Osprey mobbed by gulls over Acton and a party of Waxwings in Rossett. Further surprises were to follow. Mike Ratcliffe found a pair of colourful ducks on the Flash which clearly were some sort of Shelducks despite not conforming exactly to any particular species. After a week or so they moved up to Llay Pool but vanished after a few days. Before moving on I managed to photograph them. Although the pictures are what wildlife photographers describe dismissively as “record shots”, i.e. poor but recognisable, it is possible to confirm them as hybrids, a probable cross between Common and Ruddy Shelducks or even Ruddy and Australian and therefore escapees from an ornamental wildfowl collection. A pure-bred Ruddy Shelduck spent some time on Gresford Flash in May 2004. If our mystery pair is relocated it will be interesting to see where they pitch 24
up or maybe even learn where they came from. Escapes from captivity are usually labelled “of unknown origin” and known to the birding fraternity as “Dodgy Ducks.” The presence of dodgy ducks at Llay meant that for a while the pool was well observed and several less dodgy species recorded. The list includes Teal, a pair of Gadwall, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Ringed and Little Plovers, Lapwings, Common Sandpiper and passage migrants such as Yellow and White Wagtails. White Wagtails are the continental equivalent of our familiar black and white Pieds. In Spring and Autumn they pass through Great Britain en route to and from northern Europe. 200+ Swallows and Sandmartins with a solitary House Martin were hawking for insects over Gresford Flash on 14 April. The following day Swallows had returned to a traditional nest site in Rossett Village.

Sticky slow-roast belly of pork Serves 6. Ingredients: 1.3kg piece pork belly, boned, rind left on and scored (ask us to do this for you) 2 tsp sunflower oil 1 tsp crushed white peppercorns 3 large onions, sliced 2-3 tbsp clear honey 2 tsp ground cumin 1 red chilli - de-seeded and chopped How it’s done: 1: H eat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Lay the pork, skin-side up, on a rack in a roasting tin. Trickle with a little oil, then lightly press on the crushed peppercorns and a sprinkling of coarse sea salt. Place in the oven, then cook for 1hr. Remove from the oven and baste with the juices. Continue to cook for a further 1½ hrs, basting every 20 mins. 2: P ut the sliced onions in the roasting tin under the pork. Mix the honey together with the cumin and chilli, brush it over the pork, then increase the oven to 200C/fan 180C/ gas 6. Cook for a further 30-40 mins, basting occasionally, until caramelised with a rich, golden glaze over the pork. Once cooked and tender, remove pork from the oven, leave to rest for 10-15 mins. 3: While the pork is resting, heat the tin on the stove with the onions, adding 2 tbsp water. This will lift any residue from the pan, creating a moist cooking liquor. Season the onions with salt and pepper, then divide between 6 plates. Carve into 6 portions, then serve on top of the onions. Serve with mash and vegetables.

Denbigh Plum Fruit varieties derive from chance finds as well as intentional selection and breeding. Old varieties often came to local prominence through discovery of a notable tree by an interested individual. Even after widespread commercial sale of fruit trees began in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many varieties were not widely known and became only locally popular. In recent times we have become more aware of the many threats to our native biodiversity, although often we recognise losses only with hindsight. The diversity of our ‘fruit heritage’ is also threatened. The ‘localness’ of many traditional varieties makes them particularly vulnerable to neglect, changes in fashion and taste, and simply lack of awareness. Where and what are Denbigh plums?
same thing when we talk about them: are all ‘Denbighs’ the same? What is the extent of their distribution, and are they threatened? Identification: Since 1988 I have accumulated a small collection of supposed Denbigh plum trees from a variety of sources. These have been grown in broadly similar conditions in the same garden. There appears to be a degree of variability in the appearance of both the trees and the fruit, depending on their source; whether this reflects underlying genetic variability is not yet known. There are however a number of common features shared by these trees. History and origins The origin of the Denbigh Plum is poorly understood. The first known reference is by Benjamin Maund , who produced 13 volumes of his ‘Botanic Garden’ (on flowering and cultivated plants) between 1825 and 18502. His section on the ‘Cambrian Plum’, from Denbigh, was published in 1845 in volume 11, in a supplement called the ‘Fruitist’3. This mentioned that Mr Vickers, nurseryman, of Denbigh, ‘has cultivated it extensively, and introduced it to the notice of his customers. He has informed us that the original tree is now growing at Denbigh, about forty years old’.
In North Wales, and particularly in the Vale of Clwyd, many people know of the ‘Denbigh Plum’. They may have, or think they have, one growing in their garden, or know of a tree said to be a ‘Denbigh’. Since 2009 Denbigh has held an annual Denbigh Plum Festival, recognising the pride the town has in having the only plum variety thought to be native to Wales. Nevertheless, the true identity and status of the Denbigh Plum remain uncertain. Do we all mean the Bunyard4 quotes Maund, but refers to the 28
What is it, where is it, and should we be concerned about its future? OLIVER PRYS JONES considers the history, status and recognition of the only known plum variety native to Wales, and considers ways to conserve and study its genetic identity by involving the public. date Maund first started his series of books in 1825 - from this subsequent writers have deduced that the original tree was growing in Denbigh in 1785, whereas 1805 seems more likely. Whether that was the very first tree (derived from a natural ‘seedling’), or whether it had been introduced from another area, is unknown. Identification Since 1988 I have accumulated a small collection of supposed Denbigh plum trees from a variety of sources. These have been grown in broadly similar conditions in the same garden. There appears to be a degree of variability in the appearance of both the trees and the fruit, depending on their source; whether this reflects underlying genetic variability is not yet known. There are however a number of common features shared by these trees. How you can help I would like to solicit your help. Many of you may be able to contribute information that will be useful. Cofnod (the North Wales Environmental Service) have kindly agreed to host the collection of distribution records and associated information submitted via their website (link below). A first step is to find out where supposed Denbigh plum trees are located, especially any particularly
old or large trees – whatever their state of health. This information will provide a better understanding of the distribution and abundance of existing trees, allow for their examination, and provide a source for future genetic studies. It could also provide a reference collection of specimens, by grafting or from sucker growth, for comparative purposes, and help save any notable trees that are threatened or dying. The end result will hopefully further our understanding, protect part of our local heritage, and make sure that at least one delicious fruit variety remains available for the future – perhaps along with others that are as yet unrecognised. Many other varieties under threat might also be helped in this way. If you would like to contribute records of Denbigh Plum trees – especially old or large trees, or other information that may be helpful, please submit these via Cofnod’s Online Recording System, www.cofnod. org.uk using the special recording form for Denbigh Plums, or contact me by email at: OPJ@talk21.com

Thank to all those who attended the Wine Tasting on Friday 26th April. For those that particularly enjoyed the wine tasting and would like to get involved on a more regular basis, informal and fun tastings are frequently held at the shop in Gresford with a small group of friendly locals, and no experience is necessary. And if you like the idea of ordering your wine and having it delivered this also can be arranged for local residents. Contact Peter to have a chat about the above, you can call into the shop, phone or email him and as always he will be pleased to hear from you.

hugh.jones@wrexham.gov.uk THANK YOU TO THE VOLUNTEERS FROM RECAP WHO PLANTED THE BULBS WHICH MAKE ROSSETT SO ATTRACTIVE IN THE SPRING. HIGHWAYS The bad news is that the planned work to complete the resurfacing of Chester Road through to the County boundary at Lavister has fallen victim to financial cuts. The resurfacing of the junction of Darland Lane and Chester Road will still take place. The County Borough has to save a further £34 million over the next 4 years. We are seeking to do all we can to protect front line services at the same time. I am still trying to ensure funding for a revised parking scheme for Trevalyn Hall View, however I cannot promise that this will be done. Remedial work has taken place to repair the numerous potholes resulting from the recent adverse weather. ARRIVA BUSES Arriva has introduced new double-decked buses on the Wrexham Chester Route. These are ultra-modern, high specification vehicles with leather seats and wi-fi. I have received concerns from some residents regarding the limited number of seats on the lower deck and the need to negotiate stairs. I welcome any observations that you have which I can then pass on to Arriva. FLOODING Darland and Gamford Lane: The work to resolve the flooding issues is ongoing. I am currently meeting every two weeks with the Head of Environment, Council Lawyers and Highways to
progress a solution to the problem. There are ongoing issues with easements, rights of way and utilities, however we are still working on a scheme that will involve putting in new drainage along the highway as opposed to having to go through gardens. OWL We are encouraging residents to sign up to the OWL watch scheme. This is an online scheme that provides alerts of all types of activity such as rogue traders, distraction burglaries and, very shortly, flood alerts. Hosted by North Wales Police, it includes partner agencies such as Trading Standards and Natural Resources Wales (Formerly the Environment Agency). It is entirely free to use, has featured in many national TV programmes and has been given the Big Society award by the Prime Minister. To sign up go to www.owl. co.uk/northwales POLICING Our PCSO, Troy Williams, is being trained to use the speed gun. This is an attempt to deal with the ongoing problem of speeding motorists and bus drivers in various parts of the Ward. We are also concerned with the increasing level of drug use amongst our young people. There will be increased surveillance in an attempt to deal with the problem whilst it is still relatively small. Has it been 12 months or longer since you last cleaned your carpets or upholstery? Carpets should be cleaned regularly even if they don’t look dirty. Like you use anti bacterial sprays on your kitchen work surfaces, carpets should be cleaned for the same reason. A clean carpet helps promote a healthy atmosphere free from dirt and bacteria, and more so for people with allergies and asthma.

Planning Matters (1) The long delayed Red Lion proposals may at last be coming to committee in May - we shall see. I know that this application and others have raised interest in how the system works. Wrexham’s planning officers are to give an overview of their work to the Community Council in June. This meeting is in Gresford Hall staring at 6.00 pm on Thursday 6th June 2013. I stress that whilst council meetings are invariably open to the public, this is not an open “question and answer” session but a report to the councillors, but you can come and listen. I am sure it will provoke some lively debate at our June meeting of IMAGE the following Monday. Affordable Housing

essentialgardens Each month we aim to give you some handy pointers to help you out in the garden area. Flower garden - Finish sowing hardy annual flowers outside in May. Later sowings will result in later blooms. Feeding - Sprinkle general purpose fertiliser around clumps of spring-flowering bulbs. Ensure permanent shrubs and hedging are given a generous feed using this or rose fertiliser. Hoe it into the soil’s surface and water in before covering with a mulch of garden compost. Support plants - Place support frames over tall perennials, or those with a floppy disposition. Remember to put eye guards on top of any canes used. Hellebores - Prune back the flowering stems of hellebores, such as Helleborus argutifolius, as soon as blooms are past their best. Cut back to their base to make room for new shoots. If seedlings are required, leave a stem to set seed, then collect and sow it when ripe. Tidy alpine plants - Lightly trim off dead flowers of moss phlox, saxifrage, aubrieta and other alpines once they have faded. Excessive growth should also be trimmed to keep plants tidy. Rooted portions can be potted up separately. Chrysanthemums - Plant out young chrysanthemums raised from cuttings in early May, planting each one next to a tall cane. General care - Water newly planted fruit trees, roses and shrubs regularly to help their root systems establish. Weeding - Hoe borders once a week to prevent weed seedlings establishing. Plants for pots - Buy young plants for pots and containers, as well as for bedding displays. Most need to be potted up into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grown on in warm, bright conditions ready for planting out at the end of May. Be sure to acclimatise plants to cooler outdoor conditions before planting out.

essentially dad ‘To be a successful Father… there’s one absolute rule: When you have a kid, don’t look at it for the first two years’… No, never fear, Essentiallyours has not been taken over by some misogynist, politically incorrect male, these are actually the words of American satirist Ernest Hemingway and we think he was joking.Well, at least partially. For those with Fathers who happily did not follow Hemingway’s parental advice of ignoring one’s progeny whilst in infanthood, or indeed for anyone with a paternal figure present in their life; whether that be a stepfather, grandad or father in law you will surely realise that Sunday 16th June is Father’s day; But you knew that already of course. Father’s day originated in Washington, U.S.A in the early twentieth century. The idea of celebrating a Fathers day was first contrived by Sonora Dodd in 1909, after she had attended a mothering Sunday service. She wanted a day to honour her father, William Smart, a civil war veteran who was widowed when his wife (Sonora’s mother) died giving birth to their sixth child. Mr. Smart was left to raise the infant and his other five children on a rural farm in eastern Washington state. The first Father’s Day was observed the following year, in Sonora’s birth town of 50
Spokane, Washington. At about the same time in various towns and cities across America other people began to celebrate a ‘Father’s Day’. In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge supported the idea of a national Father’s Day but it took until 1966 to finally come to fruition. In this year President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the third Sunday of June officially Father’s Day. In 1972 President Richard Nixon signed the law which made it permanent. So this Father’s Day, indulge your dad a little. Allow him to watch as many episodes of Star Trek and Scrap Heap Challenge that he can possibly squeeze into one day and instead of the usual pair of socks or comedy tie, be a little creative when choosing a gift. Activity days which offer rally car driving, helicopter flying or (for a more relaxing alternative) golfing at one of the Country’s top courses will make for a memorable experience. To end with a quote which is a less cynical affirmation than Hemingway’s: ‘I talk and talk and talk, and I haven’t taught people in fifty years what my Father taught me by example in one week’ (Mario Cuomo). We believe it sums up our dear old dads perfectly.

Michael Edwards Marford Councillor
ROADS AND PAVEMENTS It is likely that the Council will take over responsibility for the maintenance of Quarry Brow, as the road surface and lighting have been upgraded. If any potholes are still not repaired, please report them on the Council website www. wrexham.gov.uk (click “report it”) or by ringing 01978 298989, where you can also report any street light problems. I hope the resurfacing to part of Hayfield Drive near Hillock Lane can be completed soon, as the road is breaking up. STREET LIGHTS The problem which put out the lights in Stancliffe Avenue, Meadows View and part of Sandrock Road for a few days last month stemmed from a main fuse problem in Stancliffe Avenue. When the fuse blew again, Scottish Power had to be called in. Fortunately it was unusual to have so many lights out at once. PLANNING APPLICATIONS There has been another delay to the planning application for a small shop on the Red Lion Car Park. The Planning Officer is awaiting further details of the access arrangements, which are so important with this application. The next meeting will be on 3rd June. I do not think it can be put back any further. You can see details of all planning applications on www.wrexham.gov.uk under “search planning applications”. MARFORD & GRESFORD LUNCHEON CLUB We will have meetings planned for lunches on 7th and 21st May, 4th and 18th June and 2nd July at Marford Community Centre at 54
12.30pm. Most people book their meal at the previous meeting, or you can ring Beryl Blackmore on 01978 855691. COMMUNITY CENTRE The new flooring for the community centre will be considered at the next meeting of the Management Committee. I hope we will choose the modern flooring they have at Borras Park Community Centre, but we will have to meet some of the cost locally. In the meantime, the windows will be painted and a new binstore erected to comply with insurance requirements. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING When I checked after school a couple of times recently, the drivers acted responsibly. Do let me know if there are particular times when cars are not stopping to let you cross near the Community Centre. GRESFORD COMMUNITY COUNCIL WEBSITE Your local website www.gresford.org. uk is still developing. If you would like to advertise a local event or to give details of organisations or businesses in Marford and Gresford, please let us know.
