A Message From Your Editor CAMILA ANDRADE bhskeyclubeditor@gmail.com

Dear Key Clubbers, Fall is finally here! That means the weather is getting colder and that also means even more Key Club events! October was the start of our virtual and in person (socially distanced) events. Our Key Club attended the Bloomfield Town Clean Up Day and cleaned up in a matter of a couple of hours. We also had a virtual Halloween arts and crafts party with the elementary school kids and we had loads of fun. Yours in Caring Service, Camila Andrade

Presidents Note HELLO KEY CLUBBERS, THANK YOU ALL FOR SUCH A SUCCESSFUL MONTH! WE ARE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ORGANIZE MANY DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP THE COMMUNITY AND WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT ALL OF YOUR HELP. THE CEREAL DRIVE WAS A BETTER SUCCESS THAN WE COULD HAVE IMAGINED, WITH 229 BOXES GOING TO THE MONTCLAIR HUMAN NEEDS PANTRY. IN TIMES OF ECONOMIC AND EMOTIONAL STRESS FOR EVERYONE, WE SINCERELY APPRECIATE EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME OUT OF THEIR DAYS TO DONATE TO PEOPLE WHO NEED IT. FOOD INSECURITY IS A SERIOUS ISSUE IN NEW JERSEY AND IT IS A CONSTANT MISSION OF OURS TO HELP REMEDY IT. WE ALSO TOOK MAJOR ACTION IN THE NEW JERSEY KEY CLUB DISTRICT FOCUS ON KEEPING NJ GREEN. ON OCTOBER 24TH, WE HAD OVER 25 MEMBERS COME AND HELP CLEANUP OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL AREA. WE WERE SO HAPPY TO SEE THE ENTHUSIASM AND HARD WORK FROM EVERYONE INVOLVED. DESPITE THE PANDEMIC, WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR HANDS-ON SERVICE IN THE COMMUNITY AND THIS IS JUST THE START. WE ALSO RAN A HALLOWEEN EVENT FOR YOUNGER KIDS WITH CRAFTS AND A COSTUME CONTEST, WHICH RAN VERY SUCCESSFULLY DESPITE BEING VIRTUAL. OUR BOARD LOVED MEETING AND TALKING TO KIDS OUTSIDE OF OUR SCHOOL AND ARE HAPPY WE COULD HELP BRIGHTEN UP A DARK HALLOWEEN FOR THEM. THESE SMALL VIRTUAL EVENTS ARE PERFECT FOR THE ONLINE SETTING, SO IF ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR MORE WE CAN PUT TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO REACH OUT TO ANY OF OUR BOARD. YOURS IN CARING AND SERVICE, CHARLIZE CURCIO AND GWEN REOCH
