BHS Key Clubbers,
The service year is nearing its end. DCON is in March, and the preparations are in full swing. Scrapbook will begin to meet regularly once the base is completed, so stay on the remind to receive updates. Cupcake Wars was a success, and Glow-in-the-Dark Volleyball will be selling tickets in months to come. Continue to earn service hours before the year is over!

Dear Key Clubbers, This January, we were able to not only hold a new event in our school but also prepare for the end of the service year and DCON. On January 24th we held our very first Cupcake Wars. Here students got the chance to compete for up to a $50 prize, or simply come and enjoy some cupcakes. We also had a great performance from Mikaela Benkert and Taylor Gilliam-Jones. Overall this event went great for the first time ever and we were even able to raise $340 to go to Tomorrows Children’s Fund! We have also started to prepare for our District Convention by writing reports about what we have done this service year, starting our non-traditional scrapbook, and even beginning elections! We are very excited to see what opportunities February and March bring us!

Cupcake Wars Rundown Cupcake Wars on January 24th raised proceeds for Tomorrow's Children's Fund. With 8 competitors and 87 attendees, we raised $340 for the charity and ate plenty of cupcakes that night. The winners for audience favorite and best overall cupcake won $50 Amazon gift cards and winners for best taste and best decorated won $25 gift cards. With a performance by Mikaela Benkert and Taylor Gilliam Jones, everyone not only enjoyed fantastic cupcakes but live music as well. We will be holding another Cupcake Wars next year, so be prepared for another round of sweet treats and raising money for a great charity.
