BHS Key Clubbers, Finals are over and it's officially summer break! June may have been a stressful month, but Key Clubbers still had the opportunity to earn hours at our car wash as well as the MESH soup kitchen, the Forest Glen Family Picnic, and the Sunset Classic. Members will be informed by the presidents of any new events planned for the summer in order to get even more hours. If you have an idea for another page in the editorial, feel free to reach out to me through any means. Have a great summer and see you this September! Yours in caring and service, Jamianne Kelly BHS Key Club Bulletin Editor

Dear Key Clubbers, June marks the end of a magnificent school year and the beginning of a service-projectfilled summer! The Bloomfield High School Key Club held a car wash from 9:30 AM to 2 PM on June 9th in the Board of Education parking lot, raising an impressive $746 to fund our annual Thanksgiving Dinner! Not only this, many of your fellow club members helped in recording books for the Brookdale Elementary School Library with Mrs. Luca. We hope you all have a great summer, and make sure to get involved! Yours in caring and service, Juliana Cianciotta and Sienna Tyransky BHS Key Club Presidents bhskeyclubpresident@gmail.com

Fall Rally October 7, 2018 Every year, Key Clubs from across New Jersey go to Six Flags in the fall at what is deemed Fall Rally. Many of Bloomfield's current board members have been to Fall Rally, and can attest to how much fun the day is. We hope you can join us this October for Fall Rally, which will be taking place during Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson.

Introducing LaTorre WHY KEY CLUB? I say why not. I decided to join Key Club as an advisor for many reasons. The overall reason was because it fits who I am. Ask anyone who would be the most likely teacher to be up at the High School on their free time. Their responses would be my name. I am always involved working on something for the High School and would do anything for my students. What is the best way to continue this behavior but by taken over as an advisor for Key Club.

WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED FOR? am extremely excited to work along side Mr. Bodor and Mrs. Gasparri as advisors. I also look forward to working with every member of the club mentoring them and guiding them. The upcoming year is going to be a learning year but I look forward to any and all challenges that lay before me with an excitement of a child on Christmas eve.

PREVIOUS COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Not really sure if my clubs count but I did run the Model U.N. club for over ten years and currently have the Academic Decathlon club which was brought to Bloomfield this past school year. I did help at the Harvest-fest years ago for SGA.

ANNUAL

Spring Car Wash

On June 9th, the Bloomfield High School Key Club held a car wash as a fundraiser in order to maintain our club and hold events such as the Thanksgiving Dinner coming in November.

Board and general members enjoyed a day of washing cars for donations and earning service hours. The next car wash will be in September, where you can join us again for more soapy fun.

NOW WELCOMING

BODOR OUR LATEST ADDITION

I wanted to be an advisor because I have seen a great group of kids over the last couple of years give back to the community in many different ways and it is a great portrayal of what leading by example should be. I am excited to be part of a great club and the opportunity to continue giving back to the community.Â

I have worked with kids since I was 18 years old in various positions such as paraprofessional, camp counselor, helped with events that were put on for the town of Bloomingdale through their recreation department, I have taught for a total of 6 years in various districts and have been a Leadership advisor here at Bloomfield for a year striving at all times to lead by example.Â

FOR SEPTEMBER...

We would like to welcome new freshmen to the high school and welcome back sophomore, juniors, and seniors to school and Key Club's service full swing. From bake sales to general meetings and another car wash, there is no shortage of opportunities for hours. Members should be reminded that to be a distinguished member, you need a minimum of 20 service hours for the year.
