BHS Key Clubbers, While this is the beginning of the 2018-19 service year, it is also nearing the end a school year. Many people will begin to neglect Key Club in favor of spending time outside with friends or in the cooler air conditioning. The service year is just beginning, and the editorials will continue to show when opportunities for more hours are and more information regarding the club. Good luck to everyone taking finals and best wishes to everyone graduating as a part of the Class of 2018! Yours in caring and service, Jamianne Kelly BHS Key Club Bulletin Editor

Dear Key Clubbers, May was a great month for our club! We started the month off with a cereal drive. It was held from May 7th to May 11th. Many students pitched in by bringing multiple cereal boxes to our main lobby throughout the week. At the end of the week we were able to give all of our donations to the Montclair Food Pantry. Then on May 17th we held our annual Key Club Banquet. It was a great night where we got to recognize the achievements of the 2017-2018 board and welcome the 20182019 board, as well as award many general members for their own accomplishments. With our new service year in full effect, we held a membership renewal meeting on May 22nd. Here members who had met the 20+ hour quota were able to pay their membership dues early. Immediately following this, on May 23rd our board held a meeting at Bloomfield Middle School. We explained what our club did to the incoming freshman and promoted our club for them to join at the start of the next school year. Overall this month was a great start to our service year! Yours in caring and service, Jules Cianciotta & Sienna Tyransky Bloomfield High School Key Club Co-Presidents bhskeyclubpresident@gmail.com

From LTG Joseph Kajon

Hello Bloomfield! My name is Joseph Kajon, and I am the Lieutenant Governor for Division 18. I am a junior at Saint Mary High School in Rutherford, New Jersey. Many people do not realize how large Key Club actually is. However, in the New Jersey District alone, there are over 10,000 Key Club members just like you who work to make differences in their homes, schools, and communities. I serve as the laison between you and the New Jersey District Board. My job is to keep your club up to date with district information and help your executive board as they begin to plan for the next service year! I am so excited for this new service year! Your Key Club has already held so many amazing events in the past to benefit your home, school, and community. Your new executive board seems to be very effective and creative! I cannot wait to see what great things your club can accomplish this year! I know it will be very beneficial to those in need. If you ever have a question about Key Club or just want to say hi, my email address and the official Division 18 Instagram is below. Please do not be afraid to contact me. I would love to talk! Email: ltg18.kajon@njkeyclub.org Instagram: njkeyclubdiv18 Thank you! Jospeh Kajon

SAYING GOODBYE TO WHO? For the past 3 years, Ms Testa has served as a Key Club advisor, which is no easy task. She spent hundreds of hours with board members not only planning events but also seeing them through. She will be greatly missed in the upcoming years, but not told goodbye without a proper thank you.

THE VISITORS Over the years, Ms. Testa has supported the Key Club board, no matter how frustrating the kids became. Her work deserves a huge thank you from not only the executive and extended board, but also general members. She may no longer be actively a part of Key Club, but her advice will never be forgotten.

ANNUAL

Key Club Banquet

On May 17th, a very emotional banquet was held as Seniors Emilio Villegas and Claire LaMonica said goodbye and officially left the Bloomfield High School Key Club Executive Board.

Your 2018-2019 Executive Board members were officially sworn into their positions and were all awared with distiguished member awards for their hours of service in the 2017-2018 service year.

LAST MONTH OF SCHOOL

As the school year comes to a close, summer is beginning to approach. While this may be a month of studying and stressing for finals, there are still opportunities for service hours and helping your community through Key Club! Throughout the summer, stay in contact through the remind and the website for events. Good luck to everyone during finals!
