Dear Key Clubbers,

As we wind down the year and approach our finals, we have also begun a new service year. Our banquet on May 17th not only retired the 2018-19 board, but swore in the 2019-20 board. Tears were shed as we said goodbye to seniors who will be going off to college, as well as to Ms. Testa, who stepped in to help this past year. Many of this year's board are juniors who will be seniors in the fall, meaning there are many more goodbyes to be said this year and a lot of memories to make before they all leave. We have a car wash early in June, so be sure to bring family and spread the word. All it costs is a donation to the club, and it is a great opportunity for service hours. Hope to see you there! Good luck to everyone on their finals and congratulations to those seniors finishing their final year at BHS. Yours in caring and service, Jamianne Kelly Bulletin Editor

Dear Key Clubbers, This May was successful in recruiting new and old members to join our club for the 2019-2020 service year. We started the month visiting the Bloomfield Middle School’s Builders Club on May 7. Here we advertised Key Club to them. We taught them what our club is about, how we are related to theirs, and what events we have throughout the year for them to get involved with. Then on May 10th we held a Panera fundraiser. This was extremely successful! We had many new and old club members, friends, and family come out to support us. Following on May 16th we had our annual banquet. Here we recognized all of our board members, advisors, as well as our outstanding general members. We also installed our new officers. To finish up the month on May 21st we held our membership renewal meeting. Here members with 20+ hours were able to sign up early for the new service year. This way everyone can get a head start on earning hours. May was a great month to introduce and welcome new and old members and we cannot wait to see the wonderful service they will do for our community!

Yours in caring and service, Jules Cianciotta and Sienna Tyransky Co-Presidents

A Note from our LTG By Glory Kalu

My name is Glory Kalu and I am honored to introduce myself to you as the new Lieutenant Governor for the 2019-2020 service year. I am currently a sophomore at Bloomfield High School and served as my club’s Membership Director for the 2018-2019 service year. Aside from Key Club, I am also an active member of Mock Trial, Theater, and play for my school’s volleyball team. I am also interested in the medical field and plan on picking up hospital volunteering very soon. Once I start my term there are definite ideas I want to try out to help our division grow even more. I hope that you will join me in this noble cause. I would love to: Increase membership attendance in clubs and at events. Introduce new fundraising ideas to cut costs of trips and contribute to the District Project. Complete a multi-divisional office event. Help members of clubs better understand the connection between the club and district level. Maintain a good communication system with clubs. Increase attendance at Divisional meetings and District events.
