PLUME IMPRESSION Freedom, Sophistication and Lightness of Being Created by SABINA SCHAFFER

S

abine is from Salzburg, Austria, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Spent most her childhood in one of the most visited fragrance store in Salzburg. She became the youngest fragrance expert in Salzburg in a short period-of-time. Her passion for fragrances was so resilient that she spent most of her free time in the perfumery boutique owned by a family friend. At the age of twelve, the shop manager noticed Sabine was actually

helping by giving advices to clients, merely out of passion, curiosity and generosity. The boutique owner then offered Sabine a job as fragrance consultant a few years later, which allowed her to practice her senses and develop her knowledge. The perfumery’s popularity increased impressively, people were coming to have the youngest and cutest fragrance recommendation in town. The long years of experienced, working in several private fragrance


projects in the Middle East, opted Sabina to create her own line of fragrances that make her dream realized. Her vision was simple, resulted from her experienced as a young perfume expert. Eventually, she realised that it was not only the smell of fragrances but it created a visual images, which tell her a stories and take her to places. It was not necessary for

her to know the ingredients but she can implies what scent that best suits the desire and mood of the costumer. As a yoga teacher at the same time, Sabina quoted “It’s all about the story, close your eyes and inhale�

Over the course of three years of development, every detail of Les Toupies was scrutinized by Henry Jacques Artistic Director Christophe Tollemer. His challenge was to design a series of flacons that would be multifaceted yet symmetrical, with no central point and yet possessing a stable axis, so that they can safely hold the most precious essences. Transforming these lines into three-dimensional crystal objects was a daunting task for the artisans specially commissioned by the Maison. Strong in form yet delicate in detail, the precious crystal bottles are made entirely by hand, pains takingly crafted into complex patterns of planes and angles, faceted like gemstones in order to capture and reflect the light and evoke the character of the fragrance within. Fanfan is priced at QAR 23,145, and Galileo at QAR 31,370.

Emotional Design That Reinforces The Lexus Identity

The grille itself features a unique mesh texture that changes visual tension as it spreads across the front of the car. Independent L-shaped daytime running lights beneath new ultra-compact triple LED headlamps create the distinctive LC front lighting signature. The combination of a large glass panel and blacked-out rear pillars creates a floating roof appearance, and chrome-plated moldings along the edges, which echo the lines of a traditional Japanese sword, amplify the effect. The body’s substantial, “planted” look stems from prominent quarter panels that flare

away from the center of the car and door panels that are pulled inward. The flowing lines maintain a consistent tension in the body panels through to the rear, where very slim tail lamps use mirrors to create a three-dimensional sequence of L-shaped graphics.
