ARCHERY AT THE BMHC The British Muslim Heritage Centre has teamed up with Archery GB and is in the process of setting up an Archery Club. A Taster Session was organised and delivered by two professionally qualified and experienced Archery Instructors on Saturday 7th November 2015. The aim of the session was to provide an opportunity for attendees to get a feel of archery and hopefully help to decide to join the Archery Club at the BMHC. So far the British Muslim Heritage Centre has organised two 6 weeks beginners children aged 8 to 16 years old and two 6 weeks beginners courses for over 16s adults. After completing the 6 weeks beginners’ course which is certified by Archery GB, the certified individual can join any Archery club in England. The next round of beginners’ course for children and adults will be available from the end of May 2016. For more information about registering for the 6 weeks beginners’ courses or to volunteer to help run the Archery Club at the BMHC please call 0161 881 8062, or email administrator@bmhc.org.uk.

The event bought together politicians, faith and community leaders, social activists and members from all communities including those of Myanmar (Burmese) background. The conference took place on Friday 6th November 2015. Speakers at the event include Kyaw Win, Tun Kin, Yasmin Qureshi MP, Jim Battle of the
