Weekly Epiphanies This is an insight, story, parable, haiku, inspiration, epiphany, question, topic, journal, etc.

Adversity is the thankless teacher When life hands you immense pain it is handing you an opportunity to grow or die. You decide. ‘My Russian comrades always warned me that a life without intense blinding pain is a life not worth living and I always thought them mad and ignorant . . . well I’ve lived a long life of stability, avoiding most pain and can say I think they were right.’ Fortunate are those who have experienced great adversity and are clear enough to see it for what it is with a touch of optimism. Some of us need to be nourished and some of us need life to kick our ass within an inch of our life. Death isn’t dark or scary, a life one chooses to not live, now that’s dark and scary. “If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.” Frank A. Clark
