Tr eat You r EYES! The skin around the eyes is the thinnest skin on the entire body. Having an eye care regime is vital for maintaining the health of the delicate skin around the eyes. Cleaning: If you wear mascara, eye makeup or band lashes it is important to remove the residue from your eyes. Using an Eye Makeup Remover or Eye Cleaning Oil(FBL Skincare) will cleanse and condition your eye lashes as well as exfoliate dead skin cells. You should clean your eye once a day at night and when removing make up from your face. Hydrate & Protect We loose 70% of the collagen and elastin in the skin by age Page 5

Skin and Health benefits of Papaya Papaya is a fruit which is packed with a number of health benefits. It is good for overall health and is especially considered good for the stomach and is helpful in digestion. Papain is a proteolytic enzyme found in the unripe papaya fruit. Papaya aids in the body?s natural process of removing toxins. In Chinese medicine, it is believed that a teaspoon of papaya seeds will help detoxify the liver. Papaya seeds are often recommended by natural doctors in the treatment of cirrhosis of the liver. Here are a few ways to add more Papaya to your skin and health regimen.
The Papaya Enzyme Mask: This is a treatment you can do at home, or with your skin therapist. Mix one half of a papaya, with 2 oz. of fresh pineapple juice Page 7

and 2 table e spoons of raw honey. Use once per week. The natural fruit enzymes found in the papaya and pineapple will actually dissolve dead and dull skin cells. Because of the Papaya?s texture and taste it goes well with most fruit combinations, ultimately making for a great smoothie. Eating Papaya seeds are effective against E. coli, Salmonella, and Staph infections, and protect the kidneys from toxin-induced, kidney failure. Remember ?We are what we Consume? Lymph Drainage Therapy is done by using very light rhythmic massage to increase circulation and lymphatic flow, lymphatic drainage therapy concentrates on specific lymph nodes under the jaw line. The main lymph nodes for face lift massage are pea size and under the mandible (jawline) . During a face massage, muscles are "pre-warmed" and the lymph nodes stimulated to open and enhance circulatory and lymphatic flow. A skilled therapist will use his or her hands to feel the body's lymphatic rhythm, direction, depth, and quality. This helps the therapist assess the overall lymphatic circulation and the best way to drain stagnant fluids.
Lymphatic drainage therapy reprograms the normal functioning of the lymph system and promotes healing and skin renewal. The non-invasive treatments are soothing and relaxing as tissue are nourished and regenerated. They are safe for even ultra-sensitive skin including Rosacea. Lymphatic drainage therapy can also be used in conjunction with other treatments for concerns, such as acne, allergies, reactive or sensitive skin, swelling and inflammation. Not only is it used in pre- and post-operative therapy for cosmetic surgery, but it is frequently requested by clients for use on their body as part of their regular skincare regimen. Choose an experienced Esthetician for lymphatic drainage therapy for the best anti-aging benefits. Some of the benefits of having a lymphatic drainage treatment included restoring a healthy, radiant glow to your skin to minimize lines and Page 8

wrinkles. The process stimulates cellular growth to eliminate redness, sensitivity, and dark circles. It also helps control acne and can even balance oily or dry skin. Its anti-aging benefits can improve the overall condition of your skin without surgery. Because it stimulates regeneration and nourishment of the skin, it can improve skin tone, texture, and hydration leaving your skin translucent and clear. 6 St eps t o m ai nt ai ni ng healt hy ski n 1. Cleansing. Cleansing removes makeup, dead skin cells, oil, dirt and other pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne. I recommend using a cleanser 2 times a day always followed by toning. 2. Toner. Toner is a wash designed to cleanse the skin and shrink the appearance of pores, and restores the skin?s PH to normal levels. Toners contain humectants and glycerin to help keep moisture in the skin. I recommend using Toner after every cleanse. 3. Protection. You must protect your skin from the sun and wind during the day, and restore at night. After you clean and tone your face in the morning, follow with Sunscreen. This can be a BB Cream, Mineral Makeup, or Moisturizers with and SPF of least 15. (Note: The higher the SPF the more chemicals your skin is aborting, and can cause irritation to your skin, not blocking more sun rays. An SPF of 15 or 20 is best) at night after cleansing and toning use a night time moisturizer. Our cells repair themselves while we sleep at night. 10pm-2am is best time for all the repair, healing and Anti- aging. 4 Exfoliation. Removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin?s outermost surface. Exfoliating can be achieved through mechanical or chemical means. The skin?s natural process of new skin cells are created in the skin's lower layer, the dermis over time, cells migrate to the surface of the skin and become more acidic. During their 30-day journey, they die and become saturated with keratin. Keratin is important because it protects the skin from Page 10
outside elements. Through the ageing process, and after menopause for women, the natural process of skin erosion becomes uneven, which gives skin a dry and rough character. Exfoliation removes the outer layer to reveal the newer skin beneath. This shedding of the outer layer unclogs pores, keeps skin clean, and helps reduce acne outbreaks. Exfoliation should always be done after cleansing and toning 5. Treatment. You must treat the conditions of your skin. Our skin is affected by the weather, our stress levels, and diet. Giving your skin vitamins minerals and antioxidants will treat and heal your skin and improve the condition of your skin. Your treatments serums are done daily and applied before your moisturizer. I recommend a facial mask to be done once a week. Facial Mask will remove toxins from the skin. Eye Makeup Remover will cleanse the eye and provide nutrients. Lip Treatments will keep you lips soft and moist. 6. Once a month Facials. As your skin therapist it is my responsibility to educate you on maintaining healthy skin. My facial includes an in-depth individual analysis of your skin, ultimately identifying unfavorable conditions as to correct, prevent and repaired.
