What is an Apprenticeship? An Apprenticeship’s a qualification ranging from Level 2 to Level 7, providing an opportunity to work and study at the same time. You’ll spend four days a week at work and one day in College, allowing you to earn a wage whilst learning and becoming fully trained in your chosen occupation. We work closely with businesses to ensure our Apprenticeship programmes are up to date, delivering the latest standards covering the latest developments in work sectors. You’ll be taught by knowledgeable tutors and gain hands-on experience in the workplace with industry professionals, supported throughout by your very own Work Based Tutor. Apprentice Qualification Levels Level 2 (Intermediate Apprenticeship) Equivalent to a GCSE graded 4 to 9 Level 3 (Advanced Apprenticeship) Equivalent to two or three A Level passes Levels 4 - 5 (Higher Apprenticeship) Equivalent to a foundation degree or HNC Levels 6 – 7 (Degree Apprenticeship) Equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree

Welcome to the Next Level It’s an amazing time to join Bolton College where the Gold Standard in advanced technical education, T Level qualifications, are being offered. T Levels are technical qualifications that are equivalent to three A Levels. The two-year courses have been developed with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work. T Levels allow you to apply what you learn in the classroom to a sector-specific Industry Placement, accounting for 20% of your course, and opening the door into skilled employment, degree education and Higher Apprenticeships.

Construction T Level Construction output in the UK totals more than £110 billion per year, which means a qualification in construction opens up a range of opportunities, giving you the practical and technical skills to build an exciting, and high-level, career!

Bolton College T Level students excelled on their nine-week Industry Placement at Bethell. What Bethell had to say:

After starting out as a barbering apprentice, Corey Dickinson is now an employer and the owner of Tonsor Male Grooming, a highly-successful barbershop with over 150 five-star reviews. Corey preferred practical tasks at school so, after discovering a love of barbering through YouTube, he became a barbering apprentice at 16. ‘It was a challenge building my client base but I was hard working and dedicated and I soon went from five regular clients to being fully booked week in, week out. ‘At 18, I became shop manager then at 19, I bought out my boss and rebranded the barbershop to Tonsor Male Grooming.
