CRITICAL BODY A > THE THEORY OF CHANGE PROBLEM ANALYSIS The field of Sports and Bodily Activities involve certain discriminatory ideas and practices that reinforce systems of domination such as sexism, racism, ableism and classism.

TARGET GROUP

VISION

In spaces where there are bodily activities, bodies should be autonomous, free and equal, and these spaces should be equally accessible to everyone.

The individuals who have been subject to discrimination in the field of bodily activities, academics, practitioners and members of civil society who are concerned with the topic.

IMPACT

TOOLS

Norms and forms of domination within the body of the activities have been called into question and new ideas and implementations have been developed for them.

Physical activities open to everyone’s participation, talks and resource center.

OUTPUT Participants acquired a safe space where they could move independantly from the qualities that expose them to discrimination and thus gain a higher self-esteem and develop a sense of belonging and wellbeing. Different forms and acts of discrimination and domination have been discussed as individuals from different segments of the society gathered together.

RECONCILIATION GAMES A > THEORY OF CHANGE PROBLEM ANALYSIS In the border regions, the concept of “diversity” has a negative memory/connotation.

VISION

TARGET GROUP

The children who have a positive emotion about the cultural diversity of the region they live, get to form a relationship more at peace with themselves and with their environment.

The children living in border regions and the adults who have access to those children.

IMPACT

ACTIVITY

The games and discussions that leave an imprint on the bodily memory of children enrich their emotional repertoire.

Collecting children’s games and the stories of the elderly > Sharing those with the teachers/instructors > Sharing them with the children who live in the border regions and chatting with them.

Patriarchal system prevents the girls from expressing themselves and constructing their self-esteem.

SHARE THE MOVE By means of incentivizing possible collaborations between the two countries in the field of sports as a method of social change, it brings together experts to create an exchange of information on the context, conditions and concepts. Partners: Supr Sports, Turkey- Germany Youth Bridge, German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

DANCING MATTERS Dance based tool that supports the adolescents with or without a migration background to construct their own cultural agency. Partnerler: Anadolu KĂźltĂźr, LaKi Turkey and experts from Germany and Turkey.

ACTIVE SCHOOL In 2019, Nike Turkey decided to adapt its globally implemented Active School program to Turkey. The field partner of this project which aims to increase movement at schools is BoMoVu.

A > THEORY OF CHANGE PROBLEM ANALYSIS The children’s movement at school is restricted due to prejudices or structural causes and the teachers find it difficult to develop tools that would increase movement throughout their lessons.

VISION

The students, teachers and school administrations that give/ receive education in socially disadvantageous districts.

With the right tools, the overall movements of the students at school can be increased.

IMPACT Empowering the students and teachers with the increased movement and the newly acquired tools.

SHARE THE MOVE BoMoVu is the Turkey partner of Turkish-German Youth Bridge who brings together experts to create an exchange of information on the concept, context and conditions through incentivizing possible collaborations in the field of sports between the two countries as a method of change in Youth and social work.

DANCING MATTERS Dancing Matters is a tool that was developed under the “All Together” project, organized and implemented by Anadolu Kültür and Kommunale Integrationszentren Landeskoordinierungsstelle, and supported by Stiftung Mercator.

A > THEORY OF CHANGE UNDERSTAND Working on the concept of agency. Meeting the dance volunteer through video-story. Studies on understanding the narrative of dance.

Time for interpersonal sharing: The participants present their visual products and steps from their own dance to each other. Anyone is/can be a “Dance Volunteer ”.
