The Bond University difference An investment in your education is an investment in your future success. Your time at Bond will enable career-enhancing opportunities, build valuable networks, and allow you to start achieving your career goals faster.
Accelerated degrees At Bond, you can complete your degree and start your career sooner than at a traditional university. Our teaching calendar includes three semesters per year instead of the usual two, allowing you to enter the workforce quicker than at other universities. With semesters starting in January, May and September, you could complete a combined degree, or an undergraduate and postgraduate degree, in less time than it would take to complete a single degree at another university.
Programs tailored to international students In addition to our accelerated programs, we also offer a range of two-year ‘professional’ master’s programs. Designed for students who would like to gain work experience in Australia after they graduate, these unique master’s degrees incorporate a 20-week professional experience element, and permit international students to apply for an extended three or four-year post-study work visa.

Personal attention Bond’s student-to-teacher ratio is one of the lowest in Australia, which means you will enjoy personalised support and attention throughout your studies. You will have unmatched access to your lecturers and tutors, who will actively mentor your progress, as well as personalised career and academic support to help you succeed in your studies and plan for your career after graduation.
Individual support A key part of the Bond University difference is the personal support you will receive at every step along the way. At Bond, you will never get lost in the crowd – you will have access to an abundance of opportunities and our extensive support services, including the Academic Skills Centre and Career Development Centre.
Developing key employability skills Bond graduates stand out both at university and in their future careers. In addition to Bond’s extensive career development support, the development of key skills is embedded into every Bond University degree. Our undergraduate degrees include three Core curriculum subjects, plus the Beyond Bond professional development program, which collectively teach invaluable skills you will take with you throughout your professional life.

Oscar Friedman Caceres PERU, BACHELOR OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE. “The experience you receive at Bond, not only socially but academically, is much greater than larger universities that may see you as just another number. As an international student, I have access to personalised support, like help with my assignments and internship placements – all the things I wouldn’t have had access to at another university, but are available at Bond because of our small class sizes. “Being president of the Esports Club at Bond has been a highlight of my time here, and a complete honour. It has helped me to make connections at Bond and with other universities in the esports league.”
Entrepreneurship and the Transformer program At Bond, we focus on developing adaptive, tech-savvy and futurefocused graduates with a strong entrepreneurial streak. Bond offers a free co-curricular program called Transformer, which brings students together from all disciplines to collaborate on projects and bring big business ideas to life. Working in teams, Transformer participants have access to industry experts, mentors, workshops and a 24/7 co-working space.
Building a better business with bots What started in the guest bedroom of Neeti Mehta Shukla’s house has now become a $US6.8 billion robotic process automation (RPA) company. Ms Shukla graduated with an MBA from Bond in 1997 and launched her company, Automation Anywhere, with her husband in 2003. Within minutes they already had their first customer. Now, Automation Anywhere has its global headquarters in San Jose, California and a client list including ANZ Bank, University of Melbourne, Dell, Sprint and more. It has also deployed over 2.8 million bots to support some of the world’s largest enterprises. The company allows users to create custom software bots with Automation Anywhere technology that automates manual, repetitive business and IT processes. The bots, which utilise artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, can be configured to perform tasks assigned and controlled by the user. The headquarters are a long way from Bond University, but Ms Shukla keeps the university close to her heart. She’s even a member of the Bond Business School Advisory Board. “The education, professors and courses were so impactful and also really diverse. I had the time of my life. All the friends I made there have been for life, and we still keep in touch and meet when we can,” says Ms Shukla. “It was a good combination of education that stretched my boundaries and allowed me to get the best from the world.”

Live in a city of innovation and opportunity The Gold Coast has quickly established itself as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, leading the way nationally, and growing constantly. More people on the Gold Coast own and run their own businesses than any other city in Australia, with the region attracting some of the world’s best and brightest minds.
A diverse industry landscape
Entrepreneurship opportunities
The Gold Coast offers a multifaceted and broad business landscape with strong employment opportunities across many sectors. Bond’s dedicated Career Development Centre provides access to industry connections that will help you make the most of our growing professional opportunities.
There are numerous opportunities for you to develop your entrepreneurship skills and nurture your ideas, both right here at Bond, and on the Gold Coast. Participate in the University’s Transformer program, major in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and participate in networking opportunities, competitions and initiatives to broaden your entrepreneurial skill set.
A global community Bond students hail from more than 90 countries around the world. The city is welcoming and diverse, with almost one in three residents having been born overseas. At Bond, you will join students from all corners of the globe and gain an international perspective on study and work.
Be eligible for a post-study work visa While it is Australia’s sixth largest city, the Gold Coast is classified as a regional city for migration purposes. This means that you may be eligible for an extended, three-year post-study work visa after graduation if you complete a bachelor’s degree, or a four-year post-study work visa if you complete a master’s by coursework.
Be a standout graduate What you do at university has never been more important in preparing you to succeed in your career. In an increasingly competitive job market, it’s no longer solely about what you learn in the classroom – enhancing your employability is an equally essential part of the university experience.
Unmatched access to opportunities
Industry placements
At Bond, personal attention is at the core of our student experience. This means you will have unrivalled access to the array of services, initiatives and experiences on offer. Unlike larger universities, where these opportunities are only available to a select few, every student at Bond can take advantage of an array of opportunities that will set them up for success after graduation.
The Career Development Centre can also assist with brokering work placements within your chosen industry. Through an industry placement, you will gain valuable experience with leading Australian and international employers, and contacts you will take into your professional life. We’ll help you source relevant opportunities, guiding you throughout the application process, your placement and beyond.
Personalised career guidance As a Bond student, you will have lifelong access to a variety of career development services through our Career Development Centre. Our team of dedicated career professionals can help you with everything from preparing your resumé and helping you hone your interview skills, to providing you with networking opportunities and putting you in contact with industry professionals.

Pathways to Bond University If you don’t meet the minimum entry requirements for your chosen degree, Bond offers a range of pathways through Bond University College to help you achieve the necessary academic results. Our pathway programs are delivered on campus by Bond University College, and consist of academic and English preparation programs designed to get you ready for your chosen degree. Integrated with the rest of the University, Bond University College programs offer students additional support in small class environments. Bond University College students have full access to the same on-campus resources and facilities as other students, and are welcomed as valuable members of our community from day one. Successful completion of a Bond University College program will permit entry into a related Bond University undergraduate degree with varying credit awarded*. For most study areas, the time to completion from a diploma to a bachelor’s program is the same, due to the foundational knowledge you build during your diploma. Once your diploma is complete, you will enter your bachelor’s program in Semester 3, which ensures you can still graduate ahead of your peers at standard universities. Through Bond University College, we also offer the Foundation Program to help non-native speakers meet our English language requirements, and the Diploma Preparation Program to enhance your academic skills ahead of undertaking a diploma. Eimi Waki JAPAN, BACHELOR OF SPORT MANAGEMENT. “Bond’s small classes have allowed me to interact closely with my classmates and lecturers, and the accelerated program structure mirrors a fast-paced work environment, which has improved my organisational and time management skills. One of my highlights at Bond has been applying what I have learnt in lectures to real life scenarios. “As I live on campus, I have had so many opportunities to meet new people and develop lifelong friendships. Easy access to on-campus facilities is also a plus!”
Double degree programs If one qualification isn’t enough, a double degree provides an excellent way to build on your studies and develop either broad or specialist knowledge. You’ll be able to complete two complementary degrees in the time it takes to finish just one at other universities. A double degree is simply two degrees that are pre-approved to be undertaken concurrently, such as the Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws. At the undergraduate level, the majority of our combined programs pair law or business with another discipline, and are completed in anywhere between 2 years, 8 months and 3 years, 8 months. We also offer double degrees at the postgraduate level, with combined qualifications with the MBA or Master of Project Management and an array of complementary postgraduate programs. Explore double degrees at bond.edu.au/program.
Combined undergraduate and postgraduate programs Providing a seamless pathway from your undergraduate studies into a career-ready master’s degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetic practice or medicine, Bond University offers undergraduate programs that upon completion, transition directly into postgraduate studies. Examples of this include: •
Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice
•
Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy
•
Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice
•
Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice
•
Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy
•
Medical Program (made up of the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Doctor of Medicine) via the Bachelor of Biomedical Science pathway
This provides students with the flexibility to either streamline their university studies at Bond, commencing at the undergraduate level and going directly into their postgraduate degree upon completion of a bachelor’s program, or to articulate directly into a master’s program with an approved undergraduate degree from another international or Australian institution. Professor Steve Stern PhD, MSci, BSc PROFESSOR OF DATA SCIENCE. CUSTODIAN OF THE DUCKWORTH-LEWIS-STERN (DLS) SYSTEM. “I don’t teach facts, I teach ideas. I’m not interested in my students regurgitating facts and theories about stats; I want them to understand the real reasons behind data analysis methods and understand how and when analytic techniques should, and more importantly shouldn’t, be used. “Data analysis is the skill of the future. If you know how to understand and analyse data, there is no industry or career in the world you can’t be involved in somehow.”

Rowena Yan Low HONG KONG, MASTER OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY. “My study experience at Bond has been great so far. The lecturers are really helpful and approachable – I know I can always stop and chat with them, and feel really comfortable doing so. They are also very willing to spend time meeting us face to face to discuss assignments, rather than just communicating via email. “This makes the study environment at Bond far more relaxed than a traditional university, which in turn, makes me more motivated to attend my classes! The facilities at Bond are also another standout part of attending university here – from the gym and the pool, to our learning facilities, even through to the free on-campus parking.”

Professor Alan Patching PROJECT DIRECTOR OF SYDNEY OLYMPIC STADIUM. DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT. “It’s hard to imagine a better time to pursue a career in the construction, property and planning fields. The market is currently very strong, and with the Brisbane Olympics just ten years away, I strongly suspect these sectors will continue with vigour, and that will translate to ongoing opportunity for employment and rewarding careers. “Bond’s programs are delivered by experienced academics, many with substantial practical experience, which means students can be assured of cutting-edge information based on the very latest research and industry findings.”
Fernanda Parnenzini ARGENTINA, MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE. “Bond University is a really exciting place to learn about architecture. The working and learning spaces are inspiring, and the creative atmosphere makes you push yourself to do better. I really like the small class sizes and opportunity for one-on-one feedback from world-renowned architects. Bond’s global approach also really stands out to me – for instance, I had the opportunity to work on a project in Singapore and meet with students and architects from Singapore.”

Get ready to start As the semester approaches, we’ll be in touch with details for your Orientation – your official welcome to Bond University. The Orientation experience features an exciting program of social activities where you can relax and meet people, and get ready for university life.
Jorund Smidt Opheim NORWAY, BACHELOR OF FILM AND TELEVISION. “I chose Bond because I wanted to see and experience a completely different part of the world than Norway, where I’m from. It was especially important that I found a school that had both a great social and educational environment. Bond stood out to me as a university that would give me the perfect balance, and since arriving on campus, that has been proven to me time and time again. “It was also inspiring to learn that one of Norway’s biggest filmmakers, Tommy Wirkola, went to Bond. To see that someone from the same tiny corner of the world as me has taken a similar path and succeeded was extremely inspiring, and solidified Bond as the best choice for me.”
