Brrrrr…

Paris is soaking wet. She has just fished the neighbour’s cat out of the water. The silly thing had jumped into the pond.

ERE

FACE GOES H YOUR FRIEND’S

That afternoon the neighbour came to the door with the cat under his arm. Together they have come to thank Paris for her heroic deed. They have even brought her a present: a SuperKid suit.

How cool!?

TH AN KS !

P

P

Paris puts on the SuperKid suit for a little while before falling asleep. She imagines all the adventures she’ll have as SuperKid! Thrilling, exciting adventures... her eyes slowly close. It really was a great day!

Suddenly Paris jolts awake!

She hears a noise‌ is that someone calling? She runs to the open window and looks outside.

P

Paris can’t see who is calling, but she is certain someone needs her help. She knows exactly what to do. She clenches his fist and sticks his arm up in the air. Her red cape billows open and suddenly Paris, uh... SuperKid, is flying through the air.

Paris zooms over the city at the speed of a rocket. She sees her school, the park, and the football field. She can hear the call getting louder and louder...

There!

In the distance... A fireman is waving for help from a roof. He is stuck! The building is on fire and there are flames everywhere!

P

P

SuperKid sees what the problem is straightaway and rushes to help the fireman. She quickly squeezes lots of rainwater out of a huge rain cloud. Within a matter of seconds Paris and the fireman are standing safely on the ground, watching the rainwater put out the flames.

Quick SuperKid! Help!

“Fantastic, thank you so much! You saved my life”,

bellows the fireman over the noise. “You arrived in the nick of time, I nearly had the fire under control but then my ladder fell and I couldn’t get down from the roof. It was lucky you were flying past. You deserve a hero’s medal! What’s your name?”

P Paris hesitates.

SuperKid,

“I’m… Mr. Fireman.

I don’t need a medal! If you’ve got a problem, just call my name!”

“OOOOOuch!”

What’s that? Somebody is in terrible pain. Paris doesn’t hang around. She says goodbye to the fireman, clenches her fist, kicks hard with her feet and shoots upwards into the air like an arrow. And look!

A few miles away there’s a building site, with high cranes, scaffolding and big searchlights. A little boy is stuck under a block of concrete!

Quick as a flash Paris lands beside the enormous block, takes a deep breath and lifts up the concrete with one hand. With the other hand she pulls the little boy out and puts him under her arm. SuperKid kicks with her feet once more. And .....

they’re away!

P

Paris takes the boy straight to the hospital. The doctor says the boy will be fine. Paris winks, waves and goes on her way. The little boy calls after him:

“Thaaaaanks SuperKiiiid!”

Paris is just about to go and explore outer space when she sees a gang of thieves about to rob a little old granny. She starts to run, faster and faster! Another few metres, a few more seconds. She’s closing in on the thieves. Paris is now running at top speed!

P

She’s running even faster than the train, she jumps and lands right in between the thieves and the granny, just in time.

Before they know what’s happening, the thieves are flying through the air. The little old lady is still a bit shocked. “It’s all over now, Ma’am”, SuperKid says firmly. “I’ll drop these gentlemen off at the police station.” And whooosh, they’re off.

“SuperKid, you’re an angel”,

the little old lady calls out, but Paris is already too far away to hear her.

P

With the thieves safely behind bars, Paris flies over the city. The sun has already risen. There’s the beach and the sea. The first sunbathers are already on the beach. But where are those cries for help coming from?

“HHelp! Heeelllp!“ Someone is in trouble, hurry up SuperKid!

Paris sees a little girl bobbing up and down, far out at sea. The waves are very high, far too high for anyone to swim safely. Nobody dares to jump into the water. But no wave is too high nor water too deep for SuperKid. She pinches her nose and dives in from a great height.

P

She speeds through the surf like a torpedo. She picks the little girl up in his arms and flies back to the beach.

Is it a fish !!? .. No! It’s .

P

When the little girl opens her eyes and sees SuperKid, she blushes. She whispers her name in her ear and gives her a big kiss on the cheek to say thank you!

Paris flies away, in between the houses, through the streets. Wow, what a strange night! Now she can hear a strange rumbling. But no matter how much she flies around, she can’t work out where the sound is coming from!?

Paris opens her eyes. She’s lying in bed, wearing her SuperKid suit. Daddy calls from downstairs. “Hey SuperKid, wake up, you’ve been asleep for ages! You’ll be hungry after all your adventures. We can hear your tummy rumbling from down here!”

P

“I’d really like a peanut butter sandwich please, Dad.” Paris jumps out of bed. Then she sees something shining on her pillow. As her Dad walks away whistling a tune, Paris picks up the object, and is surprised to see that it looks like…
