The classmark relates to an item’s subject and determines where it is located within the library. Thus, materials on a particular subject are shelved together and are further sub-grouped by material type. These are Books (listed as nonfiction); Quarto Books (q); Pamphlets (p); Quarto Pamphlets (qp)
