Does God want to heal me?

Brendan Mc Crossan

Does God want to heal “me?”

To explain; if you heard that someone could heal cancer by rubbing an onion on them and saying the name of Arthur three times, and you decided to go to that person to get healed, you set faith in motion, because faith is doing something, not sitting and wishing that you could be healed. The name of Arthur won’t get you healed even if you say it three times while rubbing an onion on your cancer, but getting up of your chair and going to a place where people lay hands on the sick in Jesus name will get you healed. You might not get healed the first time or the third or fourth time but if you persist in coming you will get healed.

If you go to a healing place, and don’t get healed the first time, keep coming back, don’t give up, sometimes you need to come and see others get healed before your faith rises so you can believe that you also will receive your healing. I see people come for healing to some of my healing services and they don’t get healed the first time, then they keep coming back and they don’t even realise at times that they have been healed their pain has gone or they don’t feel sick anymore, so don’t give up, Jesus does not give up on you, he wants to heal you, he is willing to heal you. Scripture says this; there is a time to live a time to die a time for laughter

24-26He looked up. "I see men. They look like walking trees." So Jesus laid hands on his eyes again. The man looked hard and realized that he had recovered perfect sight; saw everything in bright, twenty-twenty focus. Jesus sent him straight home, telling him, "Don't enter the village."

Many people wonder if God wants to heal them, or if he is willing to heal them, they see or know or hear he has healed others but does he actually want to heal them? Or is God angry at them for something they might not remember doing, is he disappointed with them and so they won’t get healed. Or do they not have faith to believe that God will heal them. There are many questions in our minds regarding is God willing to heal me, or am I one of those whom he wouldn’t heal, am I not chosen for healing like the holy men and woman I hear whom God Godhealed.doesn’t heal people because they are holy or special or because they spend hours in prayer every day and night. God heals because he loves us and being special is not in God’s vocabulary. God heals because he sees faith in us in him, and it matters not how small the size of faith is, the size does not count, it is exercising that faith, using it in other words that allows God to heal.

Lord, if you are willing, you are able tocleanse me by curing me.

Mark-8-22-They arrived at Bethsaida. Some people brought a sightless man and begged Jesus to give him a healing touch. Taking him by the hand, he led him out of the village. He put spit in the man's eyes, laid hands on him, and asked, "Do you see anything?"

Brendan Mc Crossan Chapter one

Does God want to heal “me?”

Jesus himself had to touch a man twice before he could see clearly, and I will show you that scripture now. And remember Jesus had all the power of heaven at his disposal, yet he had to lay hands on this man twice! Why did Jesus have to lay hands on this particular man twice? I believe it was to show us to keep praying until the person is healed completely. He didn’t tell us to put spit on someone’s eyes, he done that, we don’t do things like that unless the Holy Spirit tells us.

Did you ever stop to think that scripture says Jesus went often to the temple, and he must have passed this man on many an occasion, and yet this man wasn’t healed by Jesus, he walked on by him. I’m sure Jesus seen him as he sat there every day since early morning to late at night. Why didn’t Jesus heal him? Maybe he never asked Jesus; maybe he didn’t believe in Jesus that Jesus could heal him. maybe he didn’t pay attention to Jesus but he paid attention to Peter and John; [the man] paid attention to them, I don’t know but I do know that Jesus passed him many times and didn’t heal him. It wasn’t until one of the many times the apostle Peter and John were going into the temple, that the spirit of God knew that this was the time for this man’s healing, and Peter and John responded to the Holy Spirits prompting and healed him in the name of Jesus. There is a time for healing and God has appointed us to do the works he has laid out from before time began to bring healing to certain people. All people should be healed, because Jesus took their sickness and bore their disease on his body on the cross; not only did he bore their diseases on his body but he also took every vile sin that man had committed and ever will commit until the end of time on to his beaten lashed and crucified body on the cross. So you see the truth is everyone has already been healed, 1 Peter 2-24. It is Satan, who has deceived mankind into accepting sickness and disease,

7Then he took hold of the man's right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankle bones became strong and steady, and leaping forth he stood and began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

John-10-10-Jesus said I came to give life and life to the full, the thief’s purpose is to steal kill and destroy.Jesusidentified theperson who bringssicknessand diseaseand disasterinto theworld asSatan, the devil. But he also identifies himself as the person who came to heal, if you are sick you are not living life to the full, and the you I am talking to is you who are reading this Maybe I am not good enough to be healed! I am so unworthy, I don’t deserve to be healed, I’m not a good person, or I don’t believe God loves me the same as everyone else. This is all rubbish, lies told to you by the devil, to prevent you from getting rid of his diseases by believing Jesus desires to have you healed and healthy and living your life to the full.

3So when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them to give him a gift.4And Peter directed his gaze intently at him, and so did John, and said, Look at us!5And [the man] paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them.6But Peter said, Silver and gold (money) I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in [the use of] the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!

and a time to cry a time for healing, and a time to love. Healing that last’s is the healing that happens in God’s perfect time.

Acts -3-2- 1NOW PETER and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninthhour(threeo'clockintheafternoon),2[When]acertainmancrippledfromhisbirth was being carried along, who was laid each day at that gate of the temple [which is] called Beautiful, so that he might beg for charitable gifts from those who entered the temple.

Jesus gets really angry, and furious, livid even, and enraged!

The Message Bible says it like this;

Matthew 8-1- 1-2 Jesus came down the mountain with the cheers of the crowd still ringing in his ears. Then a leper appeared and went to his knees before Jesus, praying, "Master, if you want to, you can heal my body."3-4Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be clean." Then and there, all signs of the leprosy were gone.

Eitherbibleversessay hewants to, orheis willing to healtheman. Thetranslations vary from Bible to Bible but they both mean the same thing, Jesus was willing to heal the man, he wanted to heal him, and he told him so. This man asked the same question that you and I have asked; does God want to heal me, or did God give me this sickness in the first place, maybe I am fighting against God by wanting to be healed. The man was probably thinking that I know he has healed others I seen him do it or heard about him doing it but would he be willing to heal someone like me, a man who was unclean with leprosy. Remember Jesus or God did not give you your sickness that is one of the greatest deceiving lies ever told by Satan to put the blame on Jesus for what he done, he manipulated you into believing God either gave you this disease to make you a better person or to help you suffer for someone else’s sins! He wants you to blame God or think God chose you or your little child to suffer from some malignant disease. Here is a question you need to ask yourself. Would I give my child this disease so that they could suffer terrible disfigurement or pain to teach them something, so they would grow closer to you? If you answered that question with a no then why would your father in heaven who is God give you the same horrific disease or disfigurement? What kind of father would give his child pain and suffering, only an evil one, and sad to say there are some like this but a good father or mother hurts when their child is suffering, not only is their child suffering terrible and no pain medication can relieve this pain they have, but the mum and dad hurt also from frustration at not being able to help their little one. God is our Father, and he wills no sickness or disease on you, he wants to heal you, now today.

The Amplified bible says this;

Matthew 8-1- WHEN JESUS came down from the mountain, great throngs followed Him. 2And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to [a]cleanse me by curing me. 3And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed [b]by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed. {Amplified Bible}

Chapter two

Jesus gets really angry and furious, not the picture we know about Jesus he is always portrayed as gentle and soft and mushy, but Jesus got angry at people who didn’t want to see a man who had a deformed hand get healed, they didn’t care that the man had a deformed hand or care anything about him. But Jesus cared, so much that he was furious really angry, that these religious people opposed healing. If your pastor or priest or vicar or leader opposes healing then be assured that Jesus is just as furious and angry at them as he was with the Pharisees. Jesus reveals his heart here so we can see his love for us and for you who read this, by allowing himself to get really angry and even furious, this is what furious means from the

Mark 3-1- then he went back in the meeting place where he found a man with a crippled hand. The Pharisees had their eyes on Jesus to see if he would heal him, hoping to catch him in a Sabbath infraction. He said to the man with the crippled hand, "Stand here where we can see you."

dictionary, {livid, fuming, enraged, mad, irate, infuriated, incensed,} did you ever think sweet gentle loving Jesus would be like the word furious described, I bet you didn’t and he feels like that about your sickness also, he gets mad at it, and when you allow him to heal you, he orders it to go through the person praying with you.

Jesus asked the man to stand out where everyone could see him, he was going to demonstrate healing, and we should be willing to do the same in healing services. In healing services I demonstrate that it is the will of God and Jesus to bring healing to anyone in pain by bringing someone to the front to be prayed with, and I command their pain to go in the name of the blessed Lord Jesus and pain leaves, at the name of whom, at the name of Jesus the king of kings, the lord of lords and the creator of the universe. Pain does not leave because I tell it to go, it goes because it responds to the name of Jesus the name above every other name, and including whatever your disease is, the name of Jesus is above cancer, is above leukaemia, and is above deformity, it is above every other name in the whole universe. That is the name in which you will receive your healing when you go to receive healing prayer. It is the will of Jesus the will of God and the will of the Holy Spirit to heal you, Jesus said “I want to” I am willing,” you are healed.

4Then he spoke to the people: "What kind of action suits the Sabbath best? Doing good or doing evil? Helping people or leaving them helpless?" No one said a word.5-6He looked them in the eye, one after another, angry now, and furious at their hard-nosed religion. He said to the man, "Hold out your hand." He held it out—it was as good as new! The Pharisees got out as fast as they could, sputtering about how they would join forces with Herod's followers and ruin him. {The Message Bible}

What is Jesus saying here? He is saying that God the Father has sent him into this world to heal people to deliver those under the oppression of the devil and to heal the broken and crushed human being. Jesus read from the book of the Prophet Isaiah concerning himself, and the prophet prophesised there would come a Messiah who would free and heal his people from the bondage that Satan held them in, and that prophecy was now fulfilled in Jesus, and that Jesus was going to do the will of God the Father by healing all those who came to him seeking healing. This is why Jesus took on human form so that he would come and show you it is the will of God the Father to heal you, and me and all those who come to him. Then Jesus went about healing people from all walks of life the good people and the bad people all were healed when they come seeking Jesus. Did you imagine that only the good and religious and holy people came to Jesus seeking healing? Out of the thousands of people crowding around Jesus

Luke 4-18-And there was handed to Him [the roll of] the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened (unrolled) the book and found the place where it was written; 18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],

22So He replied to them, Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the good news (the Gospel) preached to them. All Jesus seemed to do was heal people; he preached the good news that we can have a loving relationship with him and the Father, by giving over our lives to him and by accepting him into our hearts as lord and saviour. But all he did was heal people, he didn’t start building churches or temples or synagogues or any earthly programme he just went about telling people the good news and healing all that came to him and you will be no exception when you finally come for healing, and if at first you don’t seem to be healed just keep praising God that he started the healing process in you and the next time you will come again and get more healing power poured into you until you are totally healed!

Come on now use your imagination surely all those people couldn’t all be amazing religious holy people, who deserved to be healed. I’m sure there were a few bad ones in there, really bad ones, and yet he healed them all. Surely then he will heal you if you come to him seeking healing, because that is what they did, they came seeking healing, they didn’t come seeking Jesus because they knew he was God, because unlike you and I they didn’t know for sure that he was the son of God. They wanted and needed healing and Jesus met their need just like he will meet yours.

John 7-21-In that very hour Jesus was healing many [people] of sicknesses and distressing bodily plagues and evil spirits, and to many who were blind He gave [[g]a free, gracious, joy-giving gift of] sight.

were probably murders prostitutes and thieves and robbers robbing the poor people with Temple taxes, and he healed every one.

Luke 4 -38-Then He arose and left the synagogue and went into Simon's (Peter's) house. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering in the grip of a burning fever, and they pleaded with Him for her.39And standing over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her; and immediately she got up and began waiting on them.40Now at the setting of the sun [indicating the end of the Sabbath], all those who had any [who were] sick with various diseases brought them to Him, and He laid His hands upon every one of them and cured them. 41And demons even came out of many people, screaming and crying out; you are the Son of God! But He rebuked them and would not permit them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ (the Messiah).

We now know that it is Jesus who heals not human beings; it is his power in us the believer who are Christ Jesus in this world as scripture says. People may come seeking us a healer but they are drawn to the miraculous healing power of Jesus in us, the healer knows it is because they and Christ Jesus have become one person in the spirit and share the same Holy Spirit that Jesus shared, that the power to heal is present in them, but it is Jesus who gets the glory. We can say, we are the body of Christ and mean a whole group of us but the real truth is, that I, or the other believers can say it is because they have become one with Jesus that healing power is in them, giving Jesus all the glory as healer and saviour.

These lepers called out to Jesus from a distance because they were not allowed by law to come near healthy people or they would be stoned to death, and Jesus called back. “Go at once and show yourselves to the priests,” and as they obeyed and started walking they were healed on the way. That is why when you go for healing you go on your way giving thanks and praise, because many a time a person’s healing manifests itself as the person goes home giving thanks even when they don’t see their healing, it is their hearts attitude, that brings the healing. But come back again and testify so that others faith can raise when they hear of your healing taking place don’t be like the nine other lepers who didn’t bother to thank Jesus or God. God wants to heal you, he is willing, now you come believing that your no different from all the scoundrels thieves and liars and cheats and good religious people that came and got healed simply because God loves them for who they are and not what they done or are. Comeand comeback learn moreof Jesus by attending aprayer meeting or church that believes in healing, so that you can grow strong in the lord. Amen.

Luke 17-12- 12

17Then Jesus asked, were not [all] ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was there no one found to return and to recognize and give thanks and praise to God except this alien?19And He said to him, Get up and go on your way. Your faith (your trust and confidence that spring from your belief in God) has restored you to health.

And as He was going into one village, He was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance. 13And they raised up their voices and called, Jesus, Master, take pity and have mercy on us! 14And when He saw them, He said to them, Go [at once] and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cured and made clean.(15Then one of them, upon seeing that he was cured, turned back, recognizing and thanking and praising God with a loud voice; 16And he fell prostrate at Jesus' feet, thanking Him [over and over]. And he was a Samaritan.
