as for me, however, ‘I’ will boast only about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; for by means of his cross the world is dead to ‘me,’ and ‘I’ am dead to the world. {Brendan Mc Crossan, my statement of faith}

The power of the cross of Jesus

Never let it be said that I diminish the power of the cross of Jesus Christ and water down its fullness of the glory of God; in this book I said there is a half truth told on the power of the cross, and I said Jesus victory was not fully accomplished until he went into hell and in hell he defeated Satan mankind’s greatest enemy. Jesus accomplished many things on that cross on Calvary for instance, he reconciled the Jews and Gentiles {Ephesians 2:16}. he carried our sins on his body, and also he set us free from sickness and disease, {1-Peter-2-24} not only that but someway supernaturally he took us onto himself spiritually and we were crucified with him {Galatians-2:19} and as he died so did we with him, and when he arose on Easter morning we arose with him. And on that cross Jesus freed himself {Colossians -2-15} from all spiritual rulers and authorities; he also freed us from the law {Galatians-2:19}. After Jesus freed himself, he then went down into hell and there he defeated Satan and all rulers and powers and dominions, but first he had to free himself, then after he freed himself on the cross he then proceeded to go about setting us free.

The scriptures for these truths are below

1-Peter-2:24

Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.

Jesus carried our sins and lawless deeds on that cross, and he reconciled Jews and gentiles on that cross also, {Catholic and Protestants and other Christian religions} there was a lot of work done on that cross, a lot of amazing things, which makes knowing all this an exciting reason to praise God, with a whole heart. He cancelled all our debt that we were in to God and cleared the record. {Colossians-2:14} he left us debt free, no more debt between us and God, no more payment for sin; and he fulfilled the law setting us free from its power over us.

as far as the Law is concerned, however, I am dead—killed by the Law itself—in order that I might live for God. I have been put to death with Christ on his cross,

I was put to death with Christ on his cross, all Christians have been put to death on that cross with Jesus, and he did it for us all, if only the Christian church could understand the word of God and realise that they were truly put to death on the cross of Jesus in their spirit, they would realise that not only did they die with Jesus supernaturally on that cross but that they arose with him also when he arose on Easter morning and ascended into heaven in and with him and therefore are seated with him in the heavenly realms whilst still attached to their body and soul on earth; but that they are now spirit beings first as heavenly beings and soul and flesh beings lastly. Our perspective of ourselves has to change, we have to begin to see ourselves as spirit beings first and foremost, we have to begin to realise that we are supernatural beings living in a body and having a soul. We have to understand the work of the cross of Jesus Christ was to make us sons and daughters of God adopted children of Almighty God with him as Father, this work was to reconcile us back to God, to give us open fellowship with our heavenly Father; and we have to learn that as God’s children made in his image and made equal like Jesus to the Father, that we are supernatural beings, like God.

If you were to simplify things then you have to ask yourself this question; who am I? If God is my Father, and Jesus is my brother, what does that make me? Answer = family. I am in God’s own family reconciled with my Father again through the work Jesus accomplished on that cross, and I am a supernatural person just like God in whose image I am made, and I am just like Jesus whom God made me equal to and created me from the same substance he made Jesus from, and if Jesus was made from a supernatural substance then you also were made from that same supernatural substance, and on the cross Jesus reconciled you back to the Father again after you were separated from him by sin. There’s wonderful power in the cross of Jesus Christ; so don’t you go thinking I have diminished the power of the cross by saying, ‘the war was not won on the cross but in hell after Jesus died and defeated Satan in hell,’ and ‘paraded him before all the saints and angels and before his Father a defeated foe and with him every rebellious spirit who followed Satan.’ You have the bible yourself and can read what I wrote and if it does not correspond with the word of God, then denounce me as a false teacher, but first make sure you check your bible the word of God.

Colossians-2:15 and on that cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession.

This was the first thing Jesus did on the cross, he first had to free himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities, in doing this first he then could free us from captivity, he didn’t free us first, but freed himself first and as everyone knows the hero frees himself first in the Movies before he frees his friends or those imprisoned.

Galatians-2:19

This was after he defeated Satan and all rulers and authorities in hell, but it began on the cross on Calvary. Jesus died in his flesh on the cross, and in spirit he went down into hell, ‘there is no time in eternity,’ so when you see a time mentioned after Jesus died realise he died to time itself also. On the cross he died and at the moment of death he left time and entered eternity which is outside of time; and he entered eternity just like we will do when we die; and in eternity, {three earthly days as recorded in scripture for us,} he was tormented by Satan and his followers, then on the third day, he arose again in the flesh and spirit, he received a new body when he was resurrected by his Father a body without blood in it, a body that could walk through solid objects like walls, and this is the kind of body we have been given also when we die and enter eternity, scripture promises it. And he paraded Satan and all his demonic followers by leading them as captives in his victory procession.

Ephesians-2:16

By his death on the cross Christ destroyed their enmity; by means of the cross he united both races into one body and brought them back to God.

On the cross Jesus reconciled Jews and Gentiles together in his body, and that also means he reconciled the Catholics and the Protestants and the Jews and all Christian religions together, and all the born again Christian groups that are all separated with their different beliefs and doctrine and theology, Christ reunited us all in his body on that cross, so that no matter what church we would go to we would be at home because we are now family, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. We should feel at home in any Christian surroundings because we are family; what does it matter what one believes and another does not believe the same thing, we can only walk in the light we have and each has different levels of light but each has the one defining answer to it all Jesus is our lord and saviour.

Colossians-2:14

he cancelled the unfavourable record of our debts with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross.

Jesus cancelled all the debt we owed to God for our sins and lawless deeds and he destroyed the record, so every sin I committed whilst on this earth has been wiped away and I have been washed clean in the blood of Jesus on that cross. I don’t have to keep coming back again and again seeking mercy for past sins once I confessed them they are wiped out, like every sin Jesus took on his body, even the sins I commit today, that sin is paid for, and the sin I will commit tomorrow or the next day and so on and so are paid for by Jesus dying for me on that wondrous cross. The cross is beautiful when you know the fullness of its power to clean mankind of sin.

1-Corinthians-1:17

Christ did not send me to baptize. He sent me to tell the Good News, and to tell it without using the language of human wisdom, in order to make sure that Christ's death on the cross is not robbed of its power.

Jesus sent me to tell the good news and I can only do that to the best of my ability graced by the Holy Spirit; I can share what I believe the word of God as directed by the Holy Spirit, I share the revelations that the Holy Spirit reveals to me and I teach what I am being taught in love as best as I can. I never wish to offend anyone but if you are offended by what the Holy Spirit in me is saying through the word of God you need to take it up with him and not me. If you don’t agree with me, you have my email address and my phone number on this website so call me and we can talk, I am always willing to be corrected if need be. I don’t claim to know it all and I am ever learning just like you and can be wrong as my wife tells me often. I write what I believe the lord would have us know as children of God and I see Christians don’t even know God’s word which is so sad and I pray that the books I write will help you seek the truth in the word of God and find truth for yourself.

Romans-6:6

And we know that our old being has been put to death with Christ on his cross, in order that the power of the sinful self might be destroyed, so that we should no longer be the slaves of sin.

Our old sinful nature has been crucified with Christ Jesus on that cross, that part of us that loves to sin was crucified and died, and when we arose again with Jesus we were given a new nature; we became a new creation and this new creation is holy, sinless, spotless, forever perfect, beautiful, precious in his sight. And this is how God expects us to see ourselves like; not worthless sinners unworthy, no good for anything, but a new creation holy and clean washed in the blood of the lamb on the cross. Christians we are a new creation, and as that new creation we were joined together with Jesus in spirit and became one with him on the cross, and we were given “His” New life to live whilst on earth, we are supposed to let Jesus live our lives in us as we live his life also, this is the joy of the full gospel of Christ Jesus, that is why Paul could say it is not I who live but Christ who lives in me; he knew exactly what happened at that cross on Calvary, where the victory began and ended in hell with the defeat of Satan and all God’s enemies, and they were paraded naked before all of heaven, stripped of all power and authority. All Satan has left is the power of lies, he has no power over a born again child of God, but is an expert in lying and has fooled Christians for two thousand years, not all of course but most. He had all eternity to think of ways to bring mankind down through lies his only weapon left to him.

Through the Son, then, God decided to bring the whole universe back to himself. God made peace through his Son's blood on the cross and so brought back to himself all things, both on earth and in heaven.

God reconciled everything on this planet with himself again and made peace between us, and also made peace with all things in heaven also. Because when Jesus defeated Satan in hell he then went and preached to the souls held in the prisons there and then he arose into heaven. Jesus work was and is now finished, there is nothing more to do. Amen
