FOREWORD
The number of times I have heard Christians and non-Christians say I will never forgive that person. Is unbelievable. I wonder to myself, do these people ever read the bible? Have they never read Jesus own words, "You will be sent to the torture chamber. I recoil in horror when I hear someone say I refuse to forgive this or that person. I was not a very good person in my younger days, and the day I was baptised in the Holy Spirit, I had a great experience of every sin I ever committed being washed away. The feeling of being forgiven was so overwhelming; it stayed with me for a long time, Knowing God forgave me everything I ever done was heavenly. I wrote this little book to try and show those who refuse to forgive someone that they themselves are the one who will have to pay. God sacrificed his only begotten son that the sins of man could be forgiven through this great sacrifice. That is how much God puts on forgiving someone whom wronged you. Jesus paid a price for the forgiveness of sin and there is a price to pay for refusing to forgive someone's sin against you. The torture chamber.
Forgiveness is a decision and not a feeling. That is where so many people get things mixed up. They think they have to feel like forgiving someone. This is not true. You have to decide to forgive. You couldn't feel like forgiving a man who almost beat you to death and raped you. The pain you're going through is terrible. But you can decide to forgive him as Jesus forgave you. That is an act of the will, separate from the feeling area.
The price it costs you, if you refuse to forgive Torture Chamber.
Matthew-18-23
The kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date. In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him $10,000,000. He couldn’t pay, so the king ordered him sold for the debt, also his wife and children, and everything he had.
But the man fell down before the king, his face in the dust, and said, oh sir, be patient with me and I will pay it all, Then the king was filled with pity for him and released him, and forgave him his debt.
"But when the man left the king, he went to a man who owed him $2,000 and grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment. The man fell down before him and begged him to give him a little time, "Be patient with me and I will pay it all he pled".
But his creditor wouldn't wait. He had the man arrested and threw in jail, until the debt could be paid in full.
Then the mans friends went to the king and told him what happened, And the king called before him the man he had forgiven, and said, you heartless wretch! Here I forgave you all that tremendous debt. Just because you asked me to, shouldn't you have mercy on others, just as I had mercy on you?
Then the angry king sent the man to the torture chamber until he had paid every last penny due. So shall my Heavenly Father do to you to you if you refuse to truly forgive your brother.
Look, at the seriousness that Jesus expressed here, he was telling us directly that if we don't forgive someone, no matter how big the size of the debt, and he wasn’t talking about money. That God, his Father, will not forgive us. That we will when we die, actually be put into the torture chamber. These are not my words but the word of God through his Son Jesus.
SO SHALL MY FATHER DO TO YOU.
He didn't say might do, he said he would do. God takes the business of forgiveness very serious, he sent his son to pay a terrible price to obtain forgiveness for us. Jesus actually went to Hell and suffered there, in our place, and paid the price of everyone sins. God was showing tremendous mercy towards us and expects us to show the same mercy, because if we don’t, then we will be put into the torture chamber.
If you still don't believe this then read this next scripture. Matthew-6-15Your Heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, He will not forgive you. Can you not see what God is saying here He will not forgive you, if you don't forgive others, NOT, NOT, NOT, be forgiven. You won't be forgiven for all your many sins. Matthew-7-2-For in the same way you judge others you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
In other words what you give is what you get. If someone murdered someone you loved. God still expects you to forgive that person. Because he forgave you. You might not want to forgive them and maybe don't feel like forgiving them, but God, ["not I,] said, you have to forgive, because he tells you to. Or you are the one going to the torture chamber? Not the people that you wont forgive. God will judge them Himself. Forgiveness is not a feeling or emotion, it is a decision. Lord I don't feel like I can forgive this person who hurt me terribly, but I will because you tell me
to." Maybe later you can forgive with a little more depth. God wants your decision to forgive, as he decided to forgive you.
Mark-4-24- With the measure you use, it will be measured to you— and even more. The chances are that you who read this will be a Christian of some sort, so your supposed to be following Christ Jesus, and you are supposed to be doing as he told you to, If you love me, obey me. John-15-9. Obedience to God is what he wants; He wants you to do as he done, Forgive unconditionally, I have heard people say I’ll never forgivethatoldsoandso,I’lltakeittomygravewithme,They don't realise that they take it to the grave and beyond because Jesus said they will take it to the torture chamber. It is not worth it holding on to hate and not forgiving. Not only will it make you ill. It will also stop you from getting into heaven. This is God’s words not mine, read them for your self and see.
DO UNTO OTHER’S AS YOU WOULD WANT THEM TO DO UNTO YOU Matthew-6-9— Forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who trespass against us
Every time you pray the "Lord's Prayer" you ask forgiveness and say you already forgave those who offended you. There's no point in praying this prayer unless you intend doing as you say, as we forgive those who trespass [sin] against us. You can not enter into the fullness of Heaven tainted with the stain of UN-forgiveness, you just wont get in, nothing unholy will ever get into heaven, and UN-forgiveness is unholy. You
will be kept in the torture chamber until you have paid for your UN-forgiveness. This is a shock, to the system when you first realise; you can't enter Heaven if you hold UN-forgiveness in your heart when you die. Forgive those who rape and abuse you, who murder your loved ones, who steal from you. Who burn your house down. Let God deal with them, for he will? They will have to give an account to him for the harm they inflicted on you, and yours. It is really silly, you paying for what someone done to you. For you to go to the torture chamber for what they did. You are suffering twice. Don't hold on to UN-forgiveness let go and let God deal with these people. Keep yourself right before God at All times Forgive and you will be forgiven. Don't forgive and you won't be forgiven. It is not I who say this but Jesus Christ. Argue with him if you like.
The reverse of not forgiving
To forgive those who hurt you. How often do I need to forgive? The apostle asked Jesus, Seven times? Jesus replied, "not seven times, but seventy times seven". That is a total of 490 -times in one day, --3,430 times a week, and --178,360 -times a year Some people I know wont forgive even once, in a year never mind 178,360 times.
To forgive someone releases you from a bondage that you have to him or her. You may not be aware that keeping someone in un-forgiveness is also tying you to this person for as long as you refuse to forgive, You are carrying him or her around with you as a spiritual weigh on you. You can not be
free from them, Just think about this. You carry around with you the very person you dislike. The last person in the world you would ever wish to be tied together too. . If it weren't so tragic, it would be laughable. You are connected to them, because you won't let go
Forgiveness is a decision; it is neither a feeling nor an emotion. It is a hard fact that you have no choice but to decide to forgive or else its you that will have to face the torture chamber. You can cry, "its not fair, look at what so and so done to me," "I am the victim here, why should I be punished". But it is you who are punishing you. It is you who are sending you to the torture chamber. Jesus said forgive those who hurt you and he laid down his own life to give you the same forgiveness he gave them. He laid down his life by decision He choose to die in your and my place
Here is a short forgiveness prayer to help you forgive
Lord I chose to forgive everyone who ever hurt me in my life
It matters not what they done. With your grace, I decide to forgive them. I chose to forgive them because that is what you ask of me I ask you to heal the pain I feel from the hurt they caused And to release me from the bondage to them that I was in by my un-forgiveness Amen
