At Born To Ride we love to hear stories about people making their American dream come true. One such man is Afzaal Deen. Originally from New York City, Afzaal was in the heavy-metal band, Crisis. In fact, he and Ron Galletti of Nasty Savage were on the same record label for years.

After being a big part of the NY metal scene, rock ‘n’ roll took him to Los Angeles as a touring musician. Then a few years ago, he brought his family to Tampa, Florida, where living is more affordable. Afzaal had a longtime dream to own a rock-oriented biker bar and Tampa was the perfect
place to make that dream come true. His wife is a chef who plans to take the pub grub menu up several notches, expanding to a full kitchen. They picked the perfect spot for their venture. The Born Free Pub & Grill is located just off the 275 freeway at Florida and Waters offering a rockvenue feel in an urban setting. The Born Free Pub & Grill is on its way to become one of Tampa’s favorite biker bar and rocker hangouts. Designed as a motorsports bar, Born Free is a place where you are always welcome, with great deals on booze and beer and tasty pub grub as well as good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll. There is outdoor seating, live DJ music and bike events including a bikini bike wash. Afzaal rides a Softail Slim that he has customized as a badass bobber and he knows
