MAXIMUM OR EMERGENCY BRAKING

Stopping your motorcycle in the shortest possible distance is another valuable skill that street riders need. When an obstacle appears in front of you and swerving is not an option because there are no escape routes available (a piece of furniture falls off of the truck in front of you), then stopping becomes your only option to avoid a collision. The term “maximum braking” is used when both brakes are applied as firmly as possible without locking up either wheel, typically in an emergency situation. To achieve maximum braking, simultaneously squeeze the front brake and clutch levers, and press the rear brake pedal with firm pressure. Apply the brakes smoothly—avoid “grabbing” or “stabbing” the brakes, as the harsh application is more likely to cause a skid or other upset to the chassis. During maximum braking, keep the motorcycle in as straight a line as possible to reduce lean angle and the likelihood of the wheels losing traction. Remember, if either wheel is skidding, maximum braking power is not being applied to the road surface. Keep your body centered over the motorcycle and look well ahead, not down. Maximum braking, like swerving, is a critical skill that should be practiced. It is wise to occasionally go to a clear (not wet or oily), safe area and practice maximum braking maneuvers to accustom yourself to how much braking force can be applied before your wheels begin to skid. This is especially the case if you have recently purchased a new or different motorcycle and need to discover its unique braking characteristics. For more info, go to www.msf-usa.org

Doing The First 1200 AS BORN TO RIDE CELEBRATED THEIR 1,200TH TELEVISION EPISODE WITH A MEGA BASH ON MARCH 31ST IN FLORIDA, THEY REFLECT ON WHAT HAS GONE INTO MAKING THE WORLD’S LONGEST RUNNING BIKER AND MOTORCYCLE TV SHOW THAT REACHES MILLIONS OF VIEWERS EVERY WEEK. TO HELP PUT THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT INTO PERSPECTIVE, CONSIDER THAT BORN TO RIDE HAS BEEN ON TELEVISION FOR NEARLY A QUARTER CENTURY WHILE SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR TV SHOWS OF ALL TIME RAN FOR A COUPLE HUNDRED EPISODES. FOR EXAMPLE, THE 1970S GAVE US M*A*S*H, THAT SPANNED 256 EPISODES. IN THE ‘80S, WE RAISED A TOAST TO “CHEERS” 275 TIMES. AND IN THE 1990S, BEFORE WE COUNTED FACEBOOK FRIENDS BY THE HUNDREDS, WE WATCHED ROSS, RACHEL AND THE REST OF OUR “FRIENDS” 236 TIMES. BELOW IS A COMPILATION OF CONVERSATIONS WITH BTR FOUNDER AND CREATIVE PRODUCER, RON GALLETTI; VICE PRESIDENT, DEB GALLETTI; MULTI-MEDIA SPECIALIST, SETH WUERTZ, FORMER EDITOR, CLARK HODGES, WHO BECAME THE VOICE OF BORN TO RIDE AND WAYNE WITCZAK, THE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR FLORIDA SHERIFFS YOUTH RANCHES, ABOUT THEIR MEMORIES OF THE PAST 1,200 EPISODES OF BORN TO RIDE!

WHAT DID YOU SET OUT TO DO FOR EPISODE 1? RON: We just started riding a lot and got into the fever of riding motorcycles and we put our bikes in bike shows and noticed that those people were fanatical, and they were buying clothes to match their bikes and we said we need to document the biker lifestyle and BOOM, Born To Ride was born! I did interviews I said “we’ll be right back after a word from our sponsors – and we didn’t have any sponsors. Every weekend we went riding with our friends and one time we had a camera guy join us. BTR 8 | BORNTORIDE.COM

I made a Born to Ride logo that read “It’s Coming” and faxed it to every motorcycle dealer in Tampa Bay. I bought the TV time. I had a goal and had to do it. We just started going to their shops and talking about their stores. I was just running and gunning trying to pull things together. I didn’t know a lot about motorcycles, I just had that vision. AS YOU CELEBRATE 1,200 EPISODES, HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR LONGEVITY COMPARED TO SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR TV SHOWS IN HISTORY LIKE CHEERS (275 EPISODES), MASH (256) AND FRIENDS (236)? RON: It’s been a commitment and when you’re committed to the motorcycle industry, it goes by fast but it’s also a commitment to business. It’s been running its course and every so often you feel where did the time go? Was it that good or was it that bad? We have a duty to document the biker lifestyle in a proper way. We choose to help others with the power of the media we have. We’re still breaking down stereotypes 20 years later and I’m proud of that. I have to thank Attorney Fran Haasch for her continuing support to our biker community. Her continued commitment to Born To Ride to document the lifestyle in a proper manner.

DEB: The journey has been exciting. We began covering the mechanical aspect of the motorcycle itself and the builders. Then it went into the public service and social aspect of motorcycling. Now we’re getting into the lifestyle and social aspect for the motorcyclist. The community leans on us and looks to us to give them advice because we have seen the growth and changes in the industry such as when the helmet law was repealed. (In 2000, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush was featured on BTR when he repealed the mandatory helmet law allowing anyone over 21 to ride unprotected if they had adequate insurance coverage). There was a big question about how the insurance companies would handle a claim if you didn’t wear a helmet. We provided riders with education on this subject. We continue to educate the community about the many charities that are biker based so they understand who and what they are supporting. That’s how we’ve evolved into today. Now we have it all flavored with a new culture of riders, motorcycles, events and the traveling lifestyle with motorcycles. We were reality TV before Duck Dynasty! he was perfectly clear what he did NOT want to talk about. Everyone has seen the interviews over the years with a very highly strung Evel and I was nervous about interviewing the biggest name in the country. But it turned out Evel was a genuine biker,

RON: Hulk Hogan, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, James Gandolfini, Katey Sagal and the Sons of Anarchy Cast, Bruce Dern, Krista Grotte, Jeb Bush, Willie Nelson (who, along with his band, wore Born to Ride shirts while performing at the Strawberry Festival), Steven Tyler, Evel Knievel, Paul Teutul and the Orange County Choppers family, Sonny Barger, Jesse James, Indian Larry, Arlen Ness and so many more! But one day Hulk Hogan rides in to one of our events in Clearwater with his entourage and I said “Holy Shit, it’s Hulk Hogan” and he comes up to me and says, “brother what can I do for you?” We walked out in the middle of a crowd of bikers and cut promos

and he was putting us over so big for about half an hour. He believed in us and that was a great feeling. We just came on the air a few months at that time in 1996. DEB: My favorite interview was Evel Knievel. I knew everything about him. He was a big part of our family growing up around the TV. In prepping for the interview, BTR 10 | BORNTORIDE.COM

a marketing genius and it was a very good interview. He even complimented my interviewing skills! It was an honor that he obliged us the time. He was thankful and recognized us for our efforts. I knew we were on to something big. HOW HAS THE BORN TO RIDE FAMILY GROWN THROUGH THE YEARS (INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY)? RON: We had kids (Emily and Ronnie, a.k.a “Bruiser”) after we started Born to Ride so they had to be in. We took them on the road. Our kids saw the respect. They learned that working hard and helping others gives you a better outlook on life. I can’t tell you how many people came up to us in Sarasota at Thunder by the Bay this month and asked us how are your kids? We watched them grow up on Born to Ride and that Christmas special when they were this big etc. etc….. and that tells me we are doing the right thing and touching people and they care about family. And they like the fact we care about their family and the biker family. Our kids are teens now and are great kids and we attribute that to the exposure of the great bikers. The people

who work for us are our family too. We need them. I try to get them to the level of my passion. They have grown with us and we are family. DEB: It’s such a brotherhood and a sisterhood. You have a lot of riding clubs that stick together and ride together and help each other. Collectively they support us and we support them. We have all grown together to help each other. Many biker friendly establishments stay open during Christmas and Thanksgiving, so a biker always has someplace to go and someone to be around. That’s family. We raised our children in this environment, and they saw all the great things bikers have done in this community year after year for total strangers. We are proud to see them do that now for others in their circle of friends. The people in our office that help us make this happen

every day and are our family too. They grow personally and contribute so much in their own special way. We have a lot of fun working and becoming old people together lol. (That’s an inside office joke!) CLARK: (Started working for BTR in 1998 after they had been on the scene for a couple years and stayed for more than 15 years. He called the Gallettis “such visionaries.”): I was impressed with all the ideas that Ron had. I learned real quick what Ron wanted and it became almost like osmosis. And Deb was a natural interviewer who never needed a script. I’ve worked with TV personalities and Deb was the best I’ve seen at interviewing. Communication was the key. I did the intros and commercial voice overs. I was in the grocery store and somebody came up to me and asked if I was the voice of Born to Ride and I said, “yes, how did you know?” And they said they watched the show and recognized my voice. Glad I was a part of this history.

Do you have a Favorite BTR TV Episode you would like to see again? Let Us Know info@borntoride.com

SETH: The technology growth has been incredible. We went from VHS to Mini DVD to CD to purely digital and we’ve gone from standard definition to high definition. We have better resources for footage and graphics and animations. The flow is different, it has a more up to date feel. The average person has the ability to look at something and know that it’s dated. It’s an amorphous thing from font types to color schemes and we keep trying to be current with what’s trending. If you were to look at a

work. They have decent family core values that parallel the values of the Youth Ranches – like integrity, honesty and compassion. He’s not just a friend, he’s family.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH THE NEXT 1,200 EPISODES? RON: I’ve seen a lot of change, but I think the next 1,200 episodes is still searching for that ultimate relationship with the bike and the road. It’s out there and we’re going to keep highlighting people. It’s sort of like that surfer looking for that ultimate wave – when he finds it, he’s done or the painter who says that’s the best painting I’ve ever

HOW HAS THE CONTENT OF THE EPISODES CHANGED IN 1,200 EPISODES?

show back in the ‘90s you would see things reminiscent of that era, even down to the 4:3 aspect ratio and now we have animated bumpers in HD where before it was just text. WAYNE: (He has known Ron for more than 20 years. Both of them graduated from Brandon High School in the early 1980s. They are now partners helping the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches that have been providing help and hope to children in need for 61 years.) We just seemed to connect on a very parallel way in that he’s a great family man and wants to give back to his community. He always tries to work some kind of social responsibility into everything he does. We seem to feed off each other in raising the level of enthusiasm and connecting people. He’s a connector of people. Debbie also. She’s got a huge heart for children, obviously a dedicated mom. Even to the extent of Bruiser and Emily – I’ve watched them grow up and become good little citizens in the community doing community

done. No! For me as a biker looking for the ultimate road, I hope we don’t ever find it! But to me it’s always been about the people – power of the people to tell their story and their passion for what they love. Thank you to everyone who has been and currently is a part of Born to Ride. Thank you! RON: The foundation is still the same – it’s the lifestyle of motorcycles and the people who ride them. Diversity is huge, what’s going on in the industry, what’s hot right now and even footage in the can that’s newsworthy. I want to make bad ass content with kick ass commercials and hopefully people will support the message we are putting out there. We care. DEB: Women riders have changed the landscape and content tremendously. Back 20 years ago riding motorcycles was mostly about men. There were only a handful of women that actually rode their own, and they were considered badass. Now women of all walks of life are riding and have their own riding groups. Motorcycles, accessories, apparel are all designed with the female rider perspective. Women are contributing so much to the biker community, they are supporting so many charities, they have added style and fashion, they make a huge economic impact to the industry. And guess what? They are even more badass today!

“Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the first 1200 BTR TV Episodes” Ron Galletti

DEB: In the next few years Ron and I will become empty nesters. We have an eye on exploring and documenting the new RV/ biker lifestyle for our viewers and readers. Some of our friends have already started this adventurous journey and leisure lifestyle with their motorcycles and are loving it. The whole RV lifestyle of motorcycles is such a cool lifestyle to travel and see this great country and all the great motorcycle rallies and thrill races. There’s a sport within a lifestyle. Motorcycle footprints are all over the world. We’re going to find them and document it all! See more BTR TV at, www.youtube.com/borntoridemotorcyclemedia BORNTORIDE.COM | BTR 11

I finally did it. And it’s about time. Spring is in the air. For today anyway. It’s early March as I write this column. Mid 60s outside, and I’m lovin’ it. Ahh, the south! But I’ve been riding all winter long, and a LONG, COLD, WET Georgia winter it’s been. Yeah, the oil is good, and I’ve been using non-ethanol gas with a shot of Stabil 360 just to be sure. Always checking my tire pressure, especially when the “love of my life,” Dana, rides with me. And she is a trooper. Dana loves to ride. (Born To Ride). This girl knows how to dress warm and stay warm when riding in the cold. So now, after riding all winter, my absolutely beautiful 2007 Harley-Davidson Road King is not so shiny and beautiful today. Cleanliness has been sadly neglected. My ride is filthy. After studying my bike, I convince myself that instead of heading out “to the wild blue yonder” just for fun, my time might be better spent with a bottle of S100 in hand and a hose. Now I like a clean bike, mind you, but I’m not as anxious to clean it as I once was. Remembering when I first purchased the

St. Patrick’s

Thunder Tower West Harley-Davidson was St. Patrick’s Day Party Central on Saturday, March 16th. Owners Gene and Betty Preston really go all out for their friends and customers, serving great food and drink for this special occasion. Along with DJ “Hype” in charge of the music and the Drake School of Irish Dance team members Claire Lawless, Isabel Mendoza and Tricia McLeer putting on a lovely variety of Irish dances. This

huge event was magnificently organized by coordinator Tanya Pritchett. Top notch chef Jay Craddick from “Tha J Spot” and his wife Tameka gathered around the serving table, along with DJ Hype, for a mouth watering picture of the great variety of food that was available to party guests. And it was so good! I pulled Dexter Wash and his wife Michelle aside for a moment, to capture a great photo

Route 66--the fabled ribbon of asphalt and concrete still winds its way across the country from Chicago to L.A. And it has also wound its way into the very soul of America. Although superseded in the 1970s by the Interstate freeways, the magic and mystic of the Mother Road has never died. Within the pages of the superbly illustrated book is a colorful illustrated history of the road and its landmarks of the famed RT 66. Put that together with Jim Bush’s story of devotion and passion as he has dedicated a true epic of ink to the legendary RT 66 on his body to show tribute for all to see. We at Born to Ride are thankful and excited to tell both sides of the story. ABOUT THE BOOK: It started in the heartland and originally ended in Los Angeles (not, contrary to myth, at the ocean). It carried truckers crossing the country, Okies fleeing the Dust Bowl, vacationers seeking the sun. It was Americas Main Street, the Mother Road, the Will Rogers Highway, and, at its dangerous curves, Bloody 66. Get your kicks on Route 66 with this wonderfully illustrated tribute to the best-loved highway in this car-loving nation. Michael Witzel shares his expertise and wealth of personal, archive, collector, and contributing photographer images in these pages, offering a nostalgic tour of the charms and oddities of this road through American cultural history. Starting in Chicago and running to Santa Monica, this book BTR 34 | BORNTORIDE.COM

K

highlights the sights along the highway with historic and current photos in then-and-now pairings, and includes Route 66 postcards, road signs, trinkets, maps, brochures, and advertisements. Here we see Route 66 as it was in its heyday and as it is now, the neon glamour of yesterday versus the ghost towns of today. Witzel and his wife, Gyvel Young-Witzel, recount the highways history, its role in popular culture, and its demise, as well as the individual stories of famous sights. Several profiles of those with close ties to the Mother Road, including the woman who played Ruthie Joad in the The Grapes of Wrath film, are included. ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Michael Witzel and Gyvel Young Witzel are some of the best known American car culture historians. Michael is the author of Route 66 Remembered as well as a dozen other pop culture histories, including with co-author Gyvel, Soda Pop! and The Sparkling Story of Coca-Cola. Scooter’s Saloon Grand Opening Party and BTR’s 1000th TV Episode Celebration Sat Feb 21st

About one minute into listening to Jim Bush’s bike and tattoo story I knew it traveled beyond the norm, if norm is ever used in the world of tattooing and custom bikes. The Bolingbrook, Illinois resident is a walking and talking monument for a major slice of American culture. He’s covered, figuratively speaking, with nearly 2,500 miles of ink stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles. To be specific, he’s paved in the history of the famous Route 66. Route 66 is America’s first

transcontinental roadway and the subject of countless stories, books, and songs -- not forgetting that famous 1960s TV show of the same name. Before we head down that road, a background check on Jim reveals that while he’s an engineer by training he’s an expert in “Loss Prevention” for commercial and industrial Fortune 500 companies. He adds, “It’s a career that pretty much will put you to sleep. It involves engineering work for an

insurance company that insures factories against business interruption.” Jim says its best to leave that explanation as it stands without delving further, and I agreed! My interest was his ink and bike story. The ink motoring down his arms is an incredible profusion of indelible images. It all started years ago when Jim decided to get his first tat, something patriotic. “I was just going to get a little American eagle and that was going to be it.” He began researching

U.S. Route 66 (also known as the Will Rogers Highway, “Main Street of America” or the “Mother Road”)

through all the images but here’s some highlights. On Jim’s left arm there’s a turquoise ’55 Chevy with a license plate that reads 2448 that commemorates Route 66’s total mileage. The Standard Oil gas station attendant on his right arm is the image of his grandfather. “That filling station opened in the early 1950s on Route 66. It’s still there, owned by my family. My grandfather’s sons still work there with my cousins.” And if you look carefully you’ll find a Ferris wheel on Chicago’s Navy pier. Walking up to that Ferris wheel, Larry has drawn the figures of Jim, his wife, and his youngest son. Jim’s art is amazing but Jim also has an award show winning Black Pan, but that is another story for a future issue. Do you have a memory of Route 66? Tell us about your Route 66 story. WILLIE G. READS IT!

Electra Glide in Blue is a classic Motorcycle Western. It isn’t classic because it was released in 1973, it is classic because everybody in it was great. It’s a classic because of its social statement on the abuse of domestic power and the film’s rendering of an era. The writing is pure. The acting is as real as it gets. The script is a study in flesh and blood that breathed well before the actor’s got it. The thing about this movie is that it can be taken scene by scene and watched independent of the rest of the story just to study the various elements in the story telling. Also, there are bikes in the film, mainly two 74ci Electra Glide cop bikes. There is also the obligatory Motorcycle-Western-Hippie-Outlaw-Biker mob on BSAs, Nortons and Triumphs. The story takes place in the Arizona desert so there is a lot of dust and bright days that seem to last forever. The motormen are shown racing along dirt roads, hitting soft patches and recovering and in one scene take the bikes motocross as they chase down a suspect. Sure the scenery is pretty and I am sure the early reviews of this movie spent some time on that point, but for me the meat in this epic is the story of the guy who just wants out of the sun and to make his living with his brains. I don’t like to dwell on the story line or the plot so that I don’t buzz kill your experience with the film, but I had to lift this dialog between the Robert Blake character, John Wintergreen and his Partner Zipper, played by Billy (Green) Bush. Zipper likes his job. ZIPPER: “Big John what you wanna go over to homicide for?” JOHN: “Ah, Zip I just can’t spend the rest of my life out there on that motorcycle getting’ heat stroke and listenin’ to you passin air outta both ends at the same time; that just ain’t my idea ‘a bein’ a cop partner.” ZIPPER: “Eh, we got a good life on these motors; ya put in yer time and you go home and ya get yer money. What could be more simple?” JOHN: “I cain’t argue - it just ain’t my dream. Dreamin’s part da game Zip. Ain’t chu-gotta-dream?” ZIPPER: “Sure, I dream ... for a stroker. About fourteen hundred CCs worth. Tucked into a ’74 straight legged chromed frame kicked - with sixteen inch mag rear wheel - with a chromed sprocket; a chromed chain; chromed spokes; a chrome tranny; a chrome footy; and a eight inch extended Sportster fork with a chromed dog-bone; TT pipes; brass rocker boxes; couple quarts-iodide running lights; a full fairing you can really get behind; contoured seat with a two-foot poboy sissy bar. AND no squawk box. But a telephone and an AM/ FM and an insulated cocktail bar in the left pocket. To me Big John that’s a real motor scooter.” JOHN: “My dream don’t cost a nickle, all I want is that brown suit and that Stetson Hat and four wheels under me insteada two BTR 46 | BORNTORIDE.COM

... and that badge that says, ‘boy ya getting’ paid ta think, not get callouses on yer ass” Like every good western there are good guys and bad guys and the twist is that the bad guys are not always who they should be. It is not a straight line story, there are subplots and when you watch the director’s commentary you discover there were at least two more subplots that were scrapped because of budget. There is no sentime ntal romance in this flick. There is however a gal who is the only developed female character in the film. Jeannine Riley plays Jolene, a gal who spent a year in New York as a Rockett with her “very own dance team” she fell in love with a salesman just as she was about to leave New York for stardom in Hollywood. She and Jim were married – he wanted children and she wanted her career—social commentary on crossed purpose, a theme that dates this film from a societal perspective. Women do it all now ... little conflict in it. It is almost expected that a woman in modern times would have family and career. She “lost him and everything.” She gets by now working at the local watering hole. She likes cops, she adores cops ... she is the prototype cop groupie. Her position of power is expressed in a confrontational scene where she targets the very guy who is the ticket to the hero, or to be more exact, the anti hero’s success – the craft of the relationship crossfire. It is an ugly thing when you have to live it and here the crossfire is so completely coarse that the kind of discomfort it provokes is enough to make you lose sleep. It is well worth watching this scene alone for the power of it. Jeannine Riley was hot in the ’60s when she starred on one of the spin-offs of The Beverly Hillbillies called Petty Coat Junction. Her earliest record of work was in Route 66 in 1960. She was in demand through the ’60s but she faded with the ’70s. As a guy who was a 19-year old kid in 1973 I have to say, seeing her in this film this far removed from the day showed me a different take on her abilities as an actor. It also made me more keenly aware of how sexy she was. She was just off type for the era. She was curvy at a time when the movies were going the other way. The paramount feature of this film is the motorcycle chase scene. No special effects, no footage of people on bikes mounted on trailers to get the perfect shot (Unlike Wild Hogs). The riding is actual, realtime blasting down the highway. The off-road stuff is genuine and the disrespect of the cops for law-abiding citizens is a sign of the times. I lived through those days of constabulary fascism, I watched Miami cops beat people who were too slow to leave a concert. I was searched time and again and my stuff was torn up by jerks who had gone through the police academy. This film peels back a few layers of the comfort slime that the main-streamers liked to surround them selves with. I remember how this movie was received as the straights went to see it because they were sure it was a cops beat hippies and kill bad guys movie and it turns out it is about real life situations and the there are no heroes. The Electra Glide in blue is a poignant moment in this film; it is the active player in a tragedy in a story that seems to have many. There is death in this movie and backstabbing and political maneuvering and lust and bikes, bikes ridden by great riders. Amazingly the most impressive motorcycle chase scene in cinematic history was achieved with only six stunt riders ... there are some crazy crashes in this flick. There are some scenes that were edited to the last possible frame to miss a spectacular crash that would have put the hero pursuit bike out of the game. Face it, FLHs when they go up against BSAs and Triumphs are somewhat cumbersome, even when driven by the best.

THE PHANTOM MOVIE REVIEW

Christian Motorcyclists Association Don’t forget being asked to ride in a group led by a Road Captain. These rides can be more structured, and often the group gathers together to discuss the route and some safety tips for the ride. An invitation to follow a Road Captain makes the ride more carefree for those following. The decisions are already made and the details attended to; all that is left is following the Road Captain and getting time in the wind! There is One who calls to each and every one of us, with a message of hope and joy. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus said: “Come follow me.” When life seems difficult, He is there with open arms. When the road seems slippery and dark, Jesus is there to light the way. When life is lonely, Jesus is there to call you to come into His presence and to ride with Him. The way is always sweet, and the joy of walking with Him leads one to realize that if you are walking with Jesus, you will never be alone! If you have been going alone, on your own path, and the way just seems like a really, bumpy road, call on Jesus to show you the way. He loves you, He wants the very best for you, and He has a plan for your life. All He is asking from you is that you trust in His name and follow His lead. When you hear His voice, take a moment to listen to His invitation, and see all He has to offer. He will lift you up and give you strength for the journey! Living in the biker world can be a very friendly experience. Most of the people one meets are simply looking for some good folks to ride, eat, and hang out with while spending time in the wind. What makes it easy to get involved in a group of bikers is that there are various invitations to come join a group and to ride with them in different activities. One example of getting an invitation is being asked to come along on a poker run. There is a great opportunity to ride with others and visit at the rest stops. Usually, these rides have a sponsor or person in need, so it is fun and helpful as well. The riders get to have a great time and the recipient of the run gets a hand up to help with challenges they are going through. Sometimes an invitation is offered to come and just enjoy seeing the countryside in the company of others. This may, or may not, be an organized ride, just a few people inviting others to come and ride. Sometimes it may just be a handful of riders that gather together, and one that takes on the responsibility of picking the destination. This is a wonderful time to get to know new friends and great new places to chow down! BTR 48 | BORNTORIDE.COM
