How do we hear? How is your listening like a microphone? Use podcasts to learn about the physic of sound. Learn about digital radio through the creative use of your voice, electronic devices and information technologies.
BOARD GAME PARTY

Play old favorites like Chess or Scrabble, and try new games like Wingspan or Catan. Grandmaster Games will provide a selection of tabletop games to choose from and will teach new players how to play. Light refreshments will be provided.
*LIGHT-UP WEARABLE CIRCUIT
Monday, Feb. 6, 4:30–6:30 p.m. at Main in BLDG 61 – Tweens, Teens and Adults
Add conductive thread, LEDs and a battery to make a light up pin you can attach to your clothing, backpack or other gear. Combine sewing and electronic skills to make a washable, low-voltage LED circuit, often called eTextiles (electronic textiles) or sewable circuits.
MESSAGES OF HOPE: WORKSHOP WITH ALEJANDRA ABAD
Thursday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m.–noon, at Main in BLDG 61 – All Ages
Messages of hope will be crowdsourced from the community and then placed on beautiful flags that will be displayed at the library. All languages are welcomed. Patrons of all ages are invited to help create the flags and learn from artist Abad throughout the residency. Drop in any time during the workshop!

Teens and adults are invited to take care of their mental and physical well-being by participating in a variety of self-care activities such as a calming craft, DIY face mask, and journaling.

Sunday, Feb. 26, noon–1:45 p.m. at NoBo, Art District Warehouse (4929 Broadway #E) – All ages
Build paper sculptures using traditional Mexican piñata techniques. We will use geometry to create three-dimensional figures that allow us to write words. Bilingual workshop in English and Spanish.

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4:30–6 p.m. at Main in the Canyon Meeting Room – Teens and Adults
Channel your activism to bring yourself joy through embroidery in this two-part workshop. Bring a friend, parent or guardian for collaborative crafting! Attend one or both based on your experience.
Part I – Learn five to six types of stitches to create yoru own stitch sampler.

Decorate a brand-new joyful journal with Shawn Bowman from Two Bee Industries. Participate in a mindful journal experience and take your journal with you to continue your practice at home.
