Het is een plan dat voortkomt uit een traditie van pleinen, arcaden en gevels, maar tegelijkertijd aansluiting zoekt bij de continuïteit van de huidige bouwcultuur.

82 HUIS VAN SEIZOENEN Z331N HASSELT [BEl DOOR FRANCESCA TORZO Francesca Torzo ontwierp een nieuwe vleugel voor Z33, het museum voor contemporaine kunst, design en architectuur in het Belgische Hasselt. De context was bepalend voor het ontwerp, Vleugel iç is dan ook een gebouwdeel dat onmiskenbaar onderdeel uitmaakt van de stad.

102 OPEN DE KERK TRANSFORMATIE WIJKKERK IN OEN HAAG TOT WOONZORGGEBOUW DOOR BUREAU KRONER Midden in de Haagse Moerwijk heeft Bureau Kroner een voormalige kerk getransformeerd tot een woonzorggebouw. Van het oorspronkelijke gebouw uit de jaren vijftig zijn de daken van de zijbeuken verwijderd om daglicht tot diep in het middenschip naar binnen te laten. Tegelijkertijd zorgt dit voor een spannende gelaagdheid.

Iedereen kan bijdragen aan natuurherstel met Treemendo

Driehonderd mensen financierden een bos van 2 hectare en 500 bomen binnen 5 dagen. Treemendo kreeg het voor elkaar door burgers mede-eigenaar te maken van het nieuwe stuk bos. Het nogjonge herbebossingsplatform zorgt ervoor dat burgers actiefbetrokken raken bij natuurherstel in hun dorpen, steden, provincies en zelfs in stukken natuur ver over de grens.

Provincie Overijssel maakt extra stap in ecologisch bermbeheer Dit voorj aar is Overij ssel gestart met de pilot Slim bermbeheer. Doel van de pilot is om software te ontwikkelen die de chauffeur op de maaimachine helpt om gefaseerd te maaien. Daarnaast scant Overijssel met behulp van een camera op de maaimachine bermen op zwerfafval en (invasieve) plantensoorten zoals de Japanse duizendknoop. Dit levert schoner maaisel op dat hoogwaardig hergebruikt kan worden.

Beheer van eikenprocessierups: keuzes op basis van kennis De eikenprocessierups heeft een grote impact op de maatschappij en is een veelbesproken onderwerp. Er gebeurt ook van alles om de overlast van de rupsen te beperken; de beheerstrategie kan per regio sterk verschillen. Niet al die verschillen zijn te verklaren op basis van ruimtelijke indeling van de gemeente, beheerders maken keuzes met de intentie om hun inwoners zo goed mogelijkvan dienst te zijn. Het is vervolgens erg belangrijk dat deze keuzes onderbouwd zijn met diepgaande kennis van het plaagorganisme.

Het hoe en waarom van biodiverse bedrijventerreinen Biodiverse bedrijventerreinen bestaan. Mondjesmaat weliswaar, maar de gerealiseerde voorbeelden smaken naar meer. Hiervoor is intensieve samenwerking nodig tussen ecologen, ontwikkelaars en andere gebiedspartijen. Dat voelt soms als een interculturele kennismaking waarbij je eerst elkaars taal, eten en opvattingen moet leren kennen en waarderen. Maar het is volgens de auteurs waard om uit de eigen bubbel te stappen, met open geest te luisteren naar "anderstaligen", om door te vragen en mee te denken. Het resultaat kan verrassend en mooi zijn.

Volkstuinparken: voorbeelden voor detoekomst Hoeveel plezier stadsbewoners ook aan hun volkstuin beleven, volkstuinparken staan al jaren onder druk. Stedelijke overheden zoeken namelijk bouwgrond om hun inwoneraantal te kunnen laten groeien, en daarbij valt hun oog steeds weer op de groene terreinen. Dat de tuinders daartegen in opstand komen is niet voor niets: zij weten dat hun parken zorgen voor een prettig stadsklimaat.

Enverder Financiële prikkels nodig voor milieuvriendelijk werkende boer Een paar maanden geleden publiceerde het Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving (PBL) de beleidsstudie Natuurinclusieve landbouw: wat beweegt boeren? met daarin de uitkomsten van een enquête gehouden onder circa noo boeren met een akkerbouw-, melkvee- of gemengd bedrijf. Doel daarvan was om na te gaan wat de bereidheid van boeren (en dan niet de koplopers maar vooral de middenmoters) verklaart om te investeren in natuurinclusieve landbouw, en hoe daar in beleid dan op zou kunnen worden ingespeeld.

DOSSIER SENIORENHUISVESTING NUL20 is een platform voor informatie en opinievorming over woonbeleid en stedelijke ontwikkeling In de regio Amsterdam. Het platform bestaat uit het tijdschrift (4x per jaar), een digitale nieuwsbrief, een website met actuele nieuwsverslaggeving en (medewerking aan) debatprogamma's in Pakhuis de Zwijger.). NUL20 wordt mogelijk gemaakt door bijdragen van de Amsterdamse Federatie van Woningcorporaties (AFWCl, de gemeente Amsterdam (Wonen, Grond & Ontwikkeling), de Metropoolregio Amsterdam en IWOON. Het tijdschrift wordt kosteloos toegezonden aan beleidsmakers, projectleiders, bewonersvertegenwoordigers, politici en andere betrokkenen bij het woonbeleid in de regio Amsterdam.
