Dream Scenario
Biology professor Paul Matthews (Cage) is a man who, despite being employed in facts and logic, can’t seem to explain why he suddenly begins appearing in other people’s dreams. The dreams are chaotic, yet he remains a passive bystander within them. For better or worse, people begin to recognize Paul in real life. When things start to go awry in his personal life, Paul’s resulting emotions transfer to his dream
form, and the dreams grow more violent and apocalyptic.

There’s huge news from the world of men’s football.
After last night’s [Jan. 29] conference championships games, the Super Bowl match is set, red team versus other red team. ... Of course, since the Chiefs are in, the game will feature the biggest star in the NFL, Taylor Swift. ... [The] whole

thing has been great for the NFL and for dads who struggle to bond with their teenage daughters.
Everyone’s getting in on the Super Bowl SwiftMania. American Airlines even announced that their flight from Kansas City to Vegas for the game will have flight number 1989 in honor of Taylor Swift’s album — and also the last year they
checked the bolts on that plane.
The flight everyone is focused on is Taylor Swift’s. You see, the Super Bowl is on Feb. 11, but Swift has a concert in Tokyo the day before [Feb. 10]. And people are concerned she may not make it in time to see Travis at the big game. ... Of course, I hope Taylor makes it because I really want to watch the “Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show starring shaky footage of Taylor Swift cheering in a skybox, featuring Usher.”

There are so many big questions about the Super Bowl. Can the 49ers contain Patrick Mahomes? Can the
Chiefs stop Christian McCaffrey? And the one that most people care about — can Taylor Swift make it there because she has a concert in Japan the day before? ... Yeah, you got the Super Bowl and you have Taylor Swift. Ratings are going to be higher than Snoop Dogg at a Willie Nelson concert.
A Pizza Hut in Canada put up a sign to notify customers that they were closing their dining room due to unforeseen circumstances, but they made a slight spelling error and said due to unforeseen “circumcisions.” I don’t think that’s what most people have in mind when they say, “You want to go for a slice?”
Today [Feb. 2], Apple launched their $3,500 Vision Pro headset. Yeah, $3,500. If that’s too pricey, there’s also the Vision Pro Nano, which looks like an eye patch.

So let me get this straight, okay. The same people who believe Joe Biden has dementia and needs Kamala Harris to feed him butterscotch tapioca every night, also believe that he has somehow planned and executed a diabolically brilliant scheme to fix the NFL playoffs so the biggest pop star in the world could pop up on the jumbotron during the Super Bowl, in
between a Kia and a Tostitos commercial, to hypnotize her 11-year-old fans into voting for Joe Biden?

In a new foreword in the paperback version of his memoir, former national security adviser John Bolton criticized former president [Donald] Trump and said, “A mountain of facts demonstrates that Trump is unfit to be president,” and it’s never a good sign when a paperback book has the strongest spine in the party.
The New York Mets have announced that for the first half of the season, Saturday day games will start at 1:40 p.m., in an effort to bring more families and large groups to the ballpark. Well, I guess that’s easier than being good at baseball.

“Mike Epps: Ready to Sell Out”
Ready to laugh? Comedian Mike Epps (“The Upshaws”) has your back, as his latest special, “Mike Epps: Ready to Sell Out,” premieres Monday, Feb. 19, on Netflix. Epps’s fourth, full-length special for the platform — following “Indiana Mike” (2022), “Only One Mike” (2019) and “Don’t Take It Personal” (2015) — this show, directed by Royale Watkins (“Def Comedy Jam Healing Through Laughter,” 2020), meets Mike back up on stage as he “keeps it real, [riffing] on poor personal hygiene, failing at infidelity and waging war on work husbands.” The comedian ponders his career, wades through the trials and tribulations of his past relationships and makes stellar, poignant observations, asking audiences to face their own surreal (and silly) realities in the process.
“Death in the Dorms” - Season 2
As young adults step into the world on their own for the first time and head to college, they often foresee hard work, parties and new relationships ahead of them. But there’s a darker side to the college experience, as highlighted in Season 2 of the ABC News Studios series “Death in the Dorms,” premiering Thursday, Feb. 22, on Hulu. The new season dives right back into six more chilling stories of young lives cut short by violent crime on university campuses across America. It dives deeper into the stories of Jackson State University accounting major Latasha Norman; Max Gruver, a first-year student at Louisiana State University; University of Miami linebacker Marlin Barnes and his friend Timwanika Lumpkins; Temple University film studies student Jenna Burleigh; Binghamton University nursing student Haley Anderson; and College of Charleston student Patrick Moffly. “Through emotional testimony from family and friends and interviews with key law enforcement, each episode focuses on the life of a bright young student and their lost potential, their loved ones’ grief, and the fight to bring their killers to justice” (per ABC News Studios).
“Nomadland” (2020)
Take a journey across the American West when the 2020 Best Picture winner, “Nomadland,” makes its debut on Hulu Monday, Feb. 19. Based on the book “Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century” by Jessica Bruder, the film follows the story of Fern (Frances McDormand, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” 2017), a woman in her sixties who loses both her job and husband in short order. With nothing left to keep her tied down, Fern decides to give up her normal life for one as a modern-day nomad. With her newly purchased van, Fern explores the American West, connecting with other nomads along the way. Written and directed by Chloé Zhao (“Eternals,” 2021), “Nomadland” also stars David Strathairn (“Lincoln,” 2012), Peter Spears (“Call Me by Your Name,” 2017) and Warren Keith (“The Big Lebowski,” 1998). Moreover, the film sees plenty of real-life nomads, including Bob Wells, Charlene Swankie and Linda May, playing fictionalized versions of themselves.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” - Season 3
The fight for freedom rages one last time when the third and final season of the animated action series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” premieres Wednesday, Feb. 21, on Disney+. Follow the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars,” 2008) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. A unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army, members of the Bad Batch each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. Now, as their story comes to a close, the Bad Batch test their limits as they fight to reunite with Omega (Michelle Ang, “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462”), who is facing her own mounting challenges inside a remote Imperial science lab. Doing everything they can to hold their group together while threats attack from every side, the Bad Batch will have to make unexpected allies, take on dangerous missions and use every tool in their arsenal to free themselves from the Empire. Created by Jennifer Corbett (“Star Wars Resistance”) and Dave Filoni (“The Mandalorian”), the series also voice stars Dee Bradley Baker (“Peacemaker”), Noshir Dalal (“It’s Pony”), Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”), Gwendoline Yeo (“Truth Be Told”) and Ian McDiarmid (“Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi,” 1983).
