Nosferatu
In 1838, young couple Ellen (Depp) and Thomas Hutter (Hoult) live in Wisburg, Germany. Thomas, a real estate agent, accepts a commission from his employer, Herr Knock (McBurney), to sell a decaying old manor to the reclusive and wealthy Count Orlok (Skarsgard) in Transylvania.
Ellen begs him not to go, haunted by nightmares of a supernatural being that have plagued her since she was a child. On his travels, Thomas is also forewarned by the locals of the ominous energy surrounding Count Orlok. Upon meeting the count, their exchange is marred by his strange, predatory behavior, and Thomas falls ill shortly after his arrival. Abandoned within the walls of the count’s castle, Thomas realizes that Ellen and the whole of Wisburg are at the mercy of Orlock’s true form: the Nosferatu, a vampiric entity that brings only disease and death.
