“Untold: Swamp Kings”

“Amsterdam” (2022)

“Primal Survivor” (Complete Series)

“Cinderella” (1950) - 4K Remaster

With a wave of a wand (and some hard work behind the scenes) Disney’s classic animated film, “Cinderella,” makes its grand re-entrance onto Disney+, Friday, Aug. 25, with its brand-new, 4K remastered version. Releasing as part of World Princess Week and as part of Disney’s centennial celebration, the remastered 1950 film — which is the 12th Disney animated feature film — represents years of hard work and dedication from the Walt Disney Studios Restoration and Preservation team, working closely with key players from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Looking and sounding better than ever, the film, based on Charles Perrault’s 1697 fairy tale of the same name, follows the story of Cinderella (voiced by Ilene Woods, “On Stage Everybody,” 1945), a young woman living with her cruel stepmother (Eleanor Audley, “Sleeping Beauty,” 1959) and two stepsisters (Rhoda Williams, “High School Hellcats,” 1958; and Lucille Bliss, “Robots,” 2005) after the death of her father. Treated like a servant by her stepfamily, Cinderella finds companionship in the mice living in her home. When every young woman in the kingdom is invited to a ball at the royal palace, Cinderella enjoys a night of luxury in the company of Prince Charming (William Phipps, “The War of the Worlds,” 1953), thanks to the magic of her fairy godmother (Verna Felton, “The Jungle Book,” 1967). However, the magic only lasts until midnight, and Cinderella’s night comes to a dramatic end as her veil of luxury disappears around her. The Prince, left with nothing of his mysterious companion but a forgotten glass slipper, sets out on a desperate mission to find her and claim their happily ever after.

“The Black Demon” (2023)

Stay out of the water. The 2023 science fiction film, “The Black Demon,” will be available to stream on Prime Video as of Tuesday, Aug. 22. An otherworldly adventure led by dungeon masters (or, as we call them, directors) Jonathan Goldstien (“Game Night,” 2018) and John Francis Daley (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” 2017), this 2023 fantasy-heist-comedy is based on the popular tabletop roleplaying game, “Dungeons & Dragons,” and is set in the world of the Forgotten Realms campaign. “Honor Among Thieves” stars Chris Pine (“Star Trek,” 2009) as Edgin, a Bard (musician) who found himself imprisoned after leading a group of adventurers – including a barbarian named Holga (Michelle Rodriguez, “Furious 7,” 2015) Edgin’s daughter, Kira (Chloe Coleman, “My Spy,” 2020), and sorcerer Simon Amur (Justice Smith, “Jurassic World Dominion,” 2022) – in a search for the “Tablet of Reawakening.” After escaping imprisonment, the bard must find his accomplices, and even more importantly, his daughter. Along the way, Edgin comes face to face with wizards, gladiators, druids and more, heading on a journey unlike any other. “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” also stars Regé-Jean Page (“Bridgerton”), Sophia Lillis (“It,” 2017) and Hugh Grant (“About a Boy,” 2002).
