Family fun starts at Wildwedge Golf Course
BY SHEILA HELMBERGER
Sometimes a fun outing of golf does not mean going to the biggest or most expensive course in the area. Not when you can spend an afternoon at Wildwedge Golf, Mini Golf and Maze in Pequot Lakes.
The Executive Par 3 course at Wildwedge offers all the up-north scenery, skill and excitement of sand and water traps that the big courses do.
From beginner golfers to those that are more advanced, everyone needs to work on their short game and Wildwedge is the perfect place to do it. With distances from 75 to 175 yards, each hole offers golfers of all abilities an affordable way to play. The onsite driving range means a chance to warm up and hit a bucket of balls before hitting the greens.
Rated the best in the state by Minnesota Monthly magazine, the mini golf course at Wildwedge offers its own excitement, a challenging and entertaining place to play with some tricks and surprises.
While you are at Wildwedge, make sure to challenge your group and master the 10,000-square-foot maze. See who can complete the twists and turns to be the first one out.
You will want to spend the day so you can enjoy everything the event center has to offer. Stay where you play and rent one of the spacious wooded lots at the Wildwedge RV Park. Located in the heart of lake country, the RV sites have Wi-Fi, fire pits and picnic areas as well as full hook-ups with water and sewer.
Wildwedge Golf, Mini Golf and Maze was voted “Best Place for Summer Family Fun” in the Best of the Brainerd Lakes contest.
