2017 sure flew by and here we are again ready for another successful spring show. Hi everybody, Jim Falconer here, from Radco Truck Accessory Center, and I am once again proud to be the chairperson of the 2018, Mid Minnesota Builders Association Home and Outdoor show. I would like to personally welcome everyone to this year’s 37th annual event!

As you may have noticed, we have rebranded the title of our show to Home and Outdoor. We are excited to be bringing in the outdoor element of the lakes area where we live, work, and vacation. The Gold Medal Arena at the Essentia Health Sports Center will be full with 4 different outdoor themes. We have secured the exhibitors for those spaces: Brainerd Sports & Marine, Moe’s Contracting and Landscaping, Northern Sales and Manufacturing, and Quality Equipment Sales & Service. We greatly appreciate their participation.

In what has become a tradition, we will once again be having our “kids build”. We want to thank Menards for sponsoring this event for the 6th year in a row. This year, kids between the ages of 5-12, will be building a tool box. This is a no-cost event and will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday March 24. We ask that you arrive as close to 10:30 as possible. The event will run until supplies are gone.

As always, our hard-working committee has put a lot of hours into putting on the best show possible. We have gone back to an old tradition of providing all your concession needs from within the organization. There will be all the showthemed food, snacks and beverages you can think of (including cold beer). So stop by and see us. Our Women Build team will be in the lobby to greet you as you enter the show. Stay for a DIY project that will help fund our 2018 Women Build home for Chad McMillan, Renee Hintz and their 7 children in Baxter this summer. The project center will be open Friday 4:00-6:30pm, Saturday 11:00am – 3:00pm and Sunday noon to 2:00pm. Kids under 12 need to have a parent helper with them. Be sure to visit the Habitat ReStore booth also located in the lobby! The Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity

ReStore sells new and used donated building materials and furniture. The ReStore is open to the public and all proceeds go towards building homes in partnership with families in need. The ReStore offers
