THANKSGIVING 2014
Thank you for a wonderful holiday and experience!
Thanksgiving French style hosted by vero and lolo
Thanksgiving is a time with friends and loved ones. And if you are lucky it will be filled with fun and happy memories...and of course good food. The French invasion on Hollywood Ave included Ilga, Kent, Vero, Lolo, Liana, Marylu, Juju, and myself. We had a ton of laughs, stories, and great food!
SALT Vero: “ I have fleur de Sel salt” Brandi: “ ok cool, Florida salt is good?” Ilga and Vero: “no F l u e r de Sel” Brandi: “oh, yeah, I thought Florida salt was something else on the black market”
MUSHROOMS Ilga and Liana’s great mushroom hunting skills gave us these beauties for a great starter. Vero: pouring olive oil in the pan while they are searing Ilga: “ Nooooo, we dry sauting them to take the water off.” Vero: “ooopps”
DRESSING “Wow Ilga this salad looks amazing!” Ilga: “yes, we brought a great feta dressing ...wait we brought it right Kent…” Kent: “ IDK” Vero: “ no problem I will make dressing” In a matter of seconds she whipped up the BEST dressing ever! It was Dijon mustard, olive oil, honey, and vinegar. Sooooo gooood.
LAUGHING “My father just died “ “My mother is in a crazy hospital” “I went through a hella of a divorce” “My clients are so grumpy” Vero: “ Happy Thanksgiving Everyone !”
STYLE The entire dinner and ambiance was filled with style and grace from the glassware, wine, plates, table cloth, and hosts!
CHEF’S DELIGHT The dinner was done in a way a 5 star chef would gloat. With chantrelle mushrooms, stuffed quail, and a tomato pie. Not even the best French restaurants could serve up such a delicious feast. I believe Kent had 4 pieces of the tomato pie. I had 2 quail myself;0)
PHOTOGRAPY Marylu was helping with the photos and design for the evening. She has quite the eye. All while Liana was protesting eating the quail. However she did successfully taste it before 2 servings of dessert!
THAN
NK YOU FOR A GREAT EVENING!
